My wife and I were traveling and we wanted to order to go because she is pregnant and didn’t feel very good. We called and were initially hung up on 3 times. After frustration I walked down to order in person. There were about 4 people in the restaurant so no excuses for the rude phone hang ups without even answering. When I walked in the manager was at the desk and pretended to ignore me. So I just stood there waiting patiently. Finally she decides to acknowledge me and was by far the most pretentious person I’ve dealt with. Her attitude was childish and if i was the owner I would remove her permanently. She knew exactly what she was doing. I’m so sick of these people thinking they are above you. What a miserable woman. I strongly strongly urge anyone to save their money and walk down the street to the endless choices two blocks away. You will be treated with much greater respect and like a paying customer. I’m a military officer and travel constantly and this one tops them all for poor front end representation of an establishment.

I stopped in for dinner, I was in the mood for a Steak. It was six o’clock and only one customer was in there. I ordered the grilled skirt steak with chimichurri sauce. The steak looked great but it was Luke warm, and I can’t understand how if it just came out the kitchen, why it wasn’t hot? Garlic green beans no flavor and super al dente, Mac and cheese was good. Ruth Chris spoiled I like a hot Steak

We stayed at the hotel for the weekend and bought the breakfast buffet package they offer. I loved how everything was decorated and the layout of the buffet. The disappointing part was the food. It just wasn’t good. The hot food and the cold food was room temperature. It definitely depends on your taste but the food all had a little twist to it that I wasn’t a fan of. For example, the pancakes weren’t just regular pancakes but they were lemon poppy seed buckwheat pancakes and they weren’t good. The service was good, no complaints there, and our stay was great. Everyone was very nice and I love that there is a full on Starbucks attached to the hotel. We would stay here again but either order straight from the menu or eat somewhere else altogether.

I thoroughly enjoyed the venison chili. Comes in a jar and layered with goodies. And it comes out super fast(they probably have a pot of it in the back or something). It was convenient and I saw some other things on the menu that might be worth trying.

First time I have been compelled to login to Unilocal and write a review. Unlike other reviewers, I did not have the opportunity to try the food. Why? I was told they were on a 30 – 40 minute wait but I was the first up. I counted no less than 12 empty tables… since it is a buffet I was not a waiter issue. When I asked, the host told me there were reservations. I countered with ‚“the restaurant would pass on a customer now for one that may not show?”. His response was«yep». Don’t waste your time.

This place sucks. And to be placed in the Omni hotel. Such a shame, horrible service, food didn’t come out right for any of us. Appetizers ordered that never showed up. One of our guys was allergic to spicy food ask 3 times if they could remove the peppers. Meal came with the peppers on it. Nobody speaks English here. They all sound like there first day in America. For a 4 Star hotel you would expect at least a bare minimum of a 3 Star restaurant. Your better off eating a burger at Carl’s Jr. Before coming here. It’s hard to think that a place like this with a one page selection of food could be so screwed up.

Celebrated New Year’s Eve 2015⁄2016. It was a top notch dining experience – from the wait staff to the 3 courses to the Chefs personal service to the table by his attention. Well done Cast Iron!

Order off the menu! I am a frequent visitor to Fort Worth and always stay at the Omni. This restaurant is great. It’s beautiful, never crowded, and the food is awesome! Great friendly service as well. Everything tastes homemade and the presentation on the iron skillets is gorgeous. I always sub my sides. Definitely try the Mac & Cheese for a calorie-splurge treat. I am not a buffet person so I cannot attest to that, but the dishes I have had off the menu have always been perfect!

This was one of the only options for breakfast in the hotel. They have the standard options on the menu, as well as a breakfast buffet. Day 1 I ordered the Belgium waffle(no fruit toppings) It was quite large, nothing spectacular. just ok. The next morning I went with the breakfast buffet, where they also have a omelette station. The food was hit and miss, omelette was good, bread was stale. The rest of my stay I just grabbed a quick bite from the starbucks in the hotel.

Service and décor were fine. I went for breakfast and got the brisket Benedict which sounded awesome on paper, but came up kinda meh. It was pricey, as you’d expect from a fancy hotel restaurant, but I had higher hopes for the food. The brisket was ok, the chipotle hollandaise sauce had a great spicy flavor to start, but it ended tasting very salt. The breakfast potatoes were bland and soggy and the English muffins were hard and almost stale tasting.

Absolutely the worst restaurant i have been to in many months for price and quality. The restaurant is their to grab as much money from customers as possible. The restaurant staff were nice and friendly but not the same staffing i have found in most other Fort Worth restaurants. I wonder what they pay these people. I am upset with the Omni, not the people. No wonder so few customers were in the restaurant.

One of the few places, that serves breakfast on weekdays, that’s not a rundown diner. Great variety of food, buffer or menu. Reasonably priced. Beautiful ambiance. Valet parking. Can’t be beat.

I have eaten here twice — once for breakfast and once for lunch — and had a great experience both times. This restaurant is surprisingly good considering it is within a conference hotel. The food quality is high, the atmosphere is nice and the service is professional.

Staying at the Omni and had Sunday Brunch at the Cast Iron inside the Hotel. Wonderful buffet with all kinds of choices. Fruits, meats, omelettes, seafood, waffles, salads, desserts… anything you could think of for breakfast or lunch. Everything we tried was fresh and perfectly prepared. Plenty of helpful servers. One of the better buffets I have been to.

This was a great place for breakfast right inside the Omni Fort Worth. The restaurant is as beautiful as the hotel. I would say its upscale cowboy. They definitely got the Fort Worth feel. We had the art of breakfast buffet. There were many choices including an omelette station, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, blueberry pecan pancakes, fresh fruit, eggs, and much more. They even had goat butter. The service was as amazing as the food, and ambience of the restaurant. I would definitely eat here again, especially when I stay here again.

The food was sub par and not nearly worth the cost… burnt jalapeño cheese bread(see photo), bland guac with massive chunks of tomato, old flank steak(buffet), disgusting desserts: coconut cake, Oreo cheesecake and orange chocolate flan. The only decent thing I tasted was the fried pickles my mother ordered, but she didn’t like them(spears). She thought the chocolate martini was good. [Also, Fidel was never at our table. I moved plates to a neighboring empty table; lots of those(empty tables), which should have been a clue. Nice manager though.] We shan’t return.

Went here for valentines dinner~ disappointed :(the lobster dish was too salty. Although the beef carpaccio and Corn bread was ok. Dessert buffet was a nice touch given its VDAY. For $ 52 pp~ not worth it. Then again, maybe u should have gotten the Tomahawk. Oh well. PS– went here for The Art of Breakfast the next morning~ servers are so friendly … Skip the waffles. Farm to table items :)

We came for New Year’s Eve and had a good experience. Our waiter was kind — we had a 4 year old that he treated as special. Great service but the food was good but not great. The Amuse Bouche was a cured scallop and my favorite thing from the evening. The menu was pre-fix and we started with Foie Gras. It was actually a small piece of foie gras on bread and was okay — just very dry. The duck breast was cooked in the sous vide and very good. Desserts were okay but nothing I would come back for(although plated beautifully). If you are staying at the Omni, a good restaurant to visit. If you are a foodie, I wouldn’t make a special trip. Oh — and the prefix menu said kids under 5 eat free but we were charged. Only $ 6.00 but she chose a lunchable. Extra star gained — restaurant contacted us after a hotel survey and refunded the $ 6.

On Christmas I needed a place to take my mother that is part brunch part traditional meal. Last year I found the Cast Iron and it fit the bill perfectly. The food is much better than the average brunch buffet. I like the atmosphere and they have signature items that give a unique feel. I loved the soup line with a nice offering of chili and southwestern soups. The desert line was overflowing with interesting temptations like peanut butter tarts, bread pudding and dozens of other choices. A jazz guitarist was a nice touch. The roaring fire and Xmas décor in the lobby gave us great Christmas morning photo opportunities as we sipped on our mimosas. Mom liked it so much I decided we might make a new family tradition. This year though they booked up very quickly and I couldn’t get a reservation. Got on wait list but no call I called several times. Sorry no luck all booked. I started calking around to find a plan B. No luck. Talked to someone at the Reata and they hipped me on how to get into a sold out restaurant. Just show up early for walk in seating. I called to see if they offered walk ups. Guess what they do? Yeah Christmas is saved. Everything worked out great we got our table with no wait and it was wonderful. My only comment is why the heck couldn’t they just tell me that when I was calling? They knew from my many calls I was desperate to get a table. But it took another restaurant employee to take the interest in helping me out on this. Funny thing is that the 10:30 seating was totally empty too lots of no shows I’d estimate only half full. If you’re looking for a special place for Christmas brunch the Cast Iron is the best spot in the entire metroplex. I drive over from Dallas for it and will make sure to reserve my table early next year.

Breading on the chicken fried steak fell off… Was not seasoned at all… Skirt steak was cooked and cut well, but died in the window, and was cold when it arrived. Grave was greasy and separated, but full of bacon! «It’s sad that the queso was the best part of dinner» I really wanted the green chilie Mac n cheese, but I girgit to order it… Wasn’t on menu… Wasn’t offered… lefy disapointed.
