Good music! Cold beer! Good wine and beer selection. Fajitas Beef Nachos are awesome after a long day of traveling!

Nice atmosphere and the mood was right. The bar is located inside the Omni Hotel. I got lucky with parking because the valet just let me park and leave my car up front. There was live music and the drinks were pretty reasonable. I had a Mojito and it came in a large class for $ 10. The staff was friendly as well.

Nice casual restaurant. I had the tacos and they were very delicious. The service was great and the atmosphere was casual.

I had a lovely evening of cocktails and good company at Whiskey & Rye. I’d never been in the Omni, and it is certainly beautifully decorated at Christmastime. I came here on a date, and we were able to find a great table with ease. The restaurant is open and feels like a modernized saloon with ornate wooden features everywhere and the giant bar itself. I loved that there were TVs showing the Stars game and live acoustic music simultaneously.
As for the cocktails, I sampled no less than 4 different ones. (Don’t worry, I took an Über!) I love whiskey, so their take on an Old Fashioned was superb – there were muddled blackberries that made the drink perfectly sweet and acidic.
We also shared a chicken-​fried chicken sandwich that was cheesy and delicious and huge. It was served with smashed potatoes, and I also enjoyed the accompanying pickle. Y’all know how much I love sandwiches and pickles, even on date night!
My favorite snack was the appetizer– piping hot waffle fries which were coated in buffalo sauce and blue cheese. It tasted like buffalo wings mated with french fries and this dish was their illicit love-​child. It’s big enough to share, and it was so hard to stop snacking on even though I was saving room for booze and an entrée!
The one thing that made this restaurant stand out among other bars in Downtown was the service provided by both my waiter and the manager, Jennifer. She visited each table to make sure our drinks were filled. She also gave us some recommendations on which cocktails she thought we’d like most based upon our liquor preferences. The server was also super attentive.
I also noticed that, because this is a hotel bar, it is a perfect place for a big party. Few places in downtown can accommodate parties of 8 – 20, but I saw multiple groups come through Whiskey & Rye without a wait or hassle or even a reservation. I want to come back with my girlfriends.

This bar is conveniently located within the OMNI hotel. Since it is also located directly across the street from the convention center its often filled with business men during the day and early evenings.
After about 8pm there is a change over in regards to patrons. Less business men and a younger crowd appears. They seem to enjoy the 2 pool tables and the Saturday nights live music.
I recommend sitting at the bar for fast drink service. Drink service from a table takes an awful long time. Also, if you choose to dine here. no matter the time of day or the amount of folks that are here, be prepare to wait… the food time is incredible long… At first I thought it was a Texas thing, but its not, its just a Whiskey & Rye thing.
I recommend you get the Buffalo Fries! Also, their sweet potato fries are really great too! I DO NOT recommend the ice cream sandwich cookie. Straight out of a package. It certainly wasn’t a warm and gooey cookie with some great ice cream. (See photo)

What a great local bar located in the Omni Fort Worth Hotel. Complete with lots of large TV’s, oversized leather chairs, complimentary pool tables and live music!
Came here for cocktails almost every night during my stay, so many amazing drink options! I tried their Tiramisu Martini, (svedka vanilla vodka, amaretto disaronno, kahlua,
cream, chocolate drizzled martini glass) the presentation alone was spectacular but the taste was even better. Whiskey was cool and strong :)
Also lunch here, I recommend the EPICUREAN burger on a toasted pretzel bun (added cheese and onions) The sweet potato waffle fries are so delicious (meal in them self). Friends raved over the BUFFALO & BLUE CHEESE WAFFLE FRIES… crumbled blue cheese sauce, hot wing sauce!
Live music was really good and not to loud that it overpowered the entire place.

This place is very nice. It is a fantastic place for a group of people to gather for drinks. They have comfortable couches and chairs to lounge and chat with friends. The food is excellent I ordered a southern fried which is a chicken fried chicken breast served on a bun with jalapeños jack cheese and ranch dressing. My friend ordered a southern club which looked very good. The prices aren’t that bad either. I had a salad with it and I don’t normally like salads but it was very good. Very good experience would not mind going back.

This place is top notch. I called in to reserve an event a month prior, stupidly not realizing that there was an event that would interfere with my plans because several other groups had plans at this bar also. The manager, I believe her name was Jennifer, went out of her way to accommodate us. They set up a separate area and table along with a sign for our guests. The wait staff was also incredibly responsive and helpful. One particular waitress knew what I wanted to order before I even said a word. That’s amazing service and I highly recommend this place as your local watering hole. Great service, great atmosphere, great people.

Not a great experience at night but management did a great job of making the overall experience better during the day.

Food was awesome and prices were reasonable. Huge drink list. Dessert was meh… But it was dessert. This was located where we were staying hut would certainly come back even if it wasn’t convenient.

Excellent liquor selection. Had a great Texas honey Bourbon and Panther IPf’nA. Steak fajitas nachos which were fair and a decadent Burger «the Epicurian» which was cooked medium to perfection topped with texas goat cheese, bacon marmalade and a roasted chile pepper. Awesome Texas twist on this guy. Ambiance is a nice. Texas rustic sports bar. Check it out.

This was the most terrible experience at a nice Fort Worth hotel. We canceled our wedding reservations because of how unorganized the hotel was. They were extremely rude to family and friends and failed to correct the situation. Extremely disappointed I recommended this hotel to family and friends.

Was visiting FW on business and visited Whiskey & Rye almost everyday for either lunch, dinner and/​or just drinks. The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I had 3 different bartenders on 4 different occasions and all were superb. I even got chatting with the chef who was very passionate about his menu and served up some great dishes for me. The atmosphere was fun, yet chill and comfortable.
I had the salmon sandwich; holy yumminess! That mango-​jicama slaw was divine. I also has a house salad with grilled chicken. Seems basic but the chicken was cooked perfectly; tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. Lastly I had the cowtown brisket dip which was a little too spicy for my palette but really flavorful.
I will definitely be back!

If you’re seeking out mediocre food and poor service, then definitely hit this place up. I arrived this evening with two colleagues for a round of drinks and a bite to eat. The place was almost completely empty at 7:30pm on a Sunday (that should have been our first clue to flee). Food: only one of us ordered food, a burger with fries. The sweet potato fries were ice cold, as if they had been sitting around for hours. One of us ordered a specialty cocktail, which was undrinkable. When we inquired as to why it tasted so bad, the server went back to check with the bartender. She then came back and said, oh, the bartender forgot to add in the simple syrup. She took the drink away and didn’t charge us for it, but neglected to bring us a new drink. We won’t be back, and unless you’re looking for mediocrity, you shouldn’t either.

If you are looking for a classy hotel bar that has a warm atmosphere with dark woods and leather, a fine bar, and pool tables then you have arrived! This bar is always a hot spot, so we were disappointed when we arrived at 11:00pm and it was dead. We had a large group so we were fine making our own party. After about 5 minutes the live music started and we realized why the place was empty. It was not so much the actual music that was a turn off, but more the volume. You honestly couldn’t even hear yourself talk.
So I can’t give this place a great review based on this visit. BUT, I can say I would still highly recommend it based on all of my previous experiences. They usually have a great crowd, good service, decent entertainment and enjoyable cocktails.

Great Wednesday night bands! Excellent specials on the Whiskey of the Day (week)! Wonderful atmosphere!
