We’ve dined in once and ordered take out a couple times. We went to dine in for the all you can eat crab legs when the season started last year. First, the place is very small. You can tell the place wasn’t originally designed to be a full service resto as the tables are VERY close together. They were a little busy so it took a few minutes for our order to be taken. Our server was a thin guy and even though he could fit in between the tables but one slight lean backwards and his butt could be on your table. We found the crab legs to be too pricey so the S/O opted for the all you can eat grouper nuggets. I ordered the fish n’ chips. A couple was seated next to us. They didn’t have a menu on their table so the server reached over and took the menu from our table and gave it to them. It’s just that close in there. Good thing we had already ordered. The grouper nuggets turned out to be huge in size and tasty per the S/O. However, no one came to ask if he would like more nuggets. I mean, we were finished and getting ready to leave when someone finally came over. The S/O finally got to order another round of nuggets. While the food is good, we decided take out would work best in the future. Ha. So, the first time we ordered take out they were out of pasta salad. The S/O ordered clam chowder and when we got home we found that it wasn’t in the bag! They were extremely crowded, tho. So, maybe they forgot. Well, we live a ways away from them so we weren’t going back for it even though we paid. What we did have was very tasty and the portions were generous. Second time we called for take out we were told by a girl they weren’t accepting take out orders. I then asked what if we stopped by to pick it up. I was told they weren’t doing to-go orders, either. Huh? I asked when would they be accepting them she then said«I don’t know, maybe in an hour and probably not even then.» Huh? Alright, so we liked the food so we called back an hour later. A guy answered a took our order although he seemed distracted. Busy still? I told him about the last time we didn’t get the clam chowder. He said he’d make sure we got it this time. Out of pasta salad again. Maybe they should take it off the menu. We got there and the place had a fair amount of people, we waited a few then someone helped us. Our order was ready so we paid and went to the car to head back. The S/O checked to make sure he had his chowder and it was there, thank goodness. All was well or so we thought. Portions were much smaller this time. The S/O ordered the Fisherman’s Platter. No oysters were included. Skip the crab cake appetizer-fat but loaded with breading. Eat what you have as much as you can right away. It doesn’t like being reheated. We ordered a piece of chocolate cake and the bottom half was missing! I mean not there. Who does that? We didn’t expect 4-star service. But, seriously? What we had was good but we’re going to try other seafood places.

My family and I ended up here on accident. Our original plan was to go to Skip One Beach, a different seafood restaurant with a similar sounding name. We decided to try this restaurant because we were hungry and we knew that its hard to mess up a simple shrimp dish when youre next to an ocean full of the stuff. Walking in, we weren’t too impressed with the place. It was a seafood market with a cramped restaurant hidden behind it. Our grandparents definitely seemed wary, until our food showed up. Both the fried shrimp and the buttered grilled shrimp were amazing. They were prepared perfectly and had the right amounts of flavor. The clam chowder that my sister ordered was extremely fresh and well prepared, I still haven’t found a better tasting chowder in Florida. However, the best tasting dish at the table was the seafood salad with crab and shrimp. It was unique, flavorful, and came on a bed of the house salad which made it 2 salads in 1. In the end, my grandma didnt seem too thrilled with her dinner, mainly because we were at the wrong Skip One not because she didnt like her meal. In my opinion, this is the best seafood i’ve ever found in Florida.

Ordered me the grilled snapper it was delicious. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Service could use some help but it is a very small place. One of the back workers loudly cleared his throat the entire dining experience. It was well noticed by the diners as some began to giggle. Might want to work that out.

Fresh seafood is this restaurant. I had the local red snapper. It was very good. I saw giant king crab legs and will get next time. Shrimp cocktail was good. Expected bigger shrimp. Good service. As others said basic décor.
