Sunday night half off cheese pizza was pretty good, but they were very understaffed. Happy hour until 7. Not bad if in a pinch.

Wow — lots of bad reviews. We walked in around 11:15AM on a Tuesday for a quick appetizer and a drink before an afternoon fishing trip. We had fast and friendly service. The chicken quesadilla was okay — a little spicier than we expected. Drinks were good and definitely not watered down. We would visit again if we were back in the area.

We went here on a Tuesday evening. It was busy but we were seated immediately. Our waitress, didn’t catch her name, was a cute young blonde who took wonderful care of our needs. She was the only one of the wait staff that smiled while she was working. I would recommend the nacho supreme, or the fish sandwich, but you must try the mahi tacos. OMG, were they ever good. There was live music that was good. An older crowd mostly, 70 plus, but we’ll worth the stop.

A weekly favorite of ours. Great naked wings and excellent(personalized) customer service! The drinks are the best on the beach! Tell them Mike and Joni sent you!

Itl Price for food quality is right up there. Great service. Love the 11 – 7 happy hour. Not fancy, but I’m not either.

The first thing I noticed was an number of people smoking right outside the door. It was disgusting to walk thru haze of smoke. The place had nice décor but the bartender was very grumpy with a poor attitude. The menu was fine but a little pricey for the quality of the food. Good live music. The staff could use an attitude adjustment. When leaving you have to pass thru the smoke close again. Be prepared to wash your clothes

Gross food, gross people serving you food, watered down drinks, depressing atmosphere. Ordered an appetizer, and could wait to leave. We got over charged on our bill by the waitress, apparently by some of the other reviews this is a common practice. Wish I would of read Casey K’s review before I wasted my time there on my vacation.

Severely understaffed on a Friday night, subpar food. The live band was very good though. We were not served drinks for 10+ minutes, we didn’t get our order taken for another and it took a long time to get our order. I believe the host was taking care of us, he was a very sweet younger guy.

Honestly one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a while. The food was nothing to rave about either and the staff need some additional training and manners. I had a new waitress which I tried to be understanding and nice too, however, she brought me an incorrect bill. When I told her the bill was incorrect, another waitress came over and informed the new waitress that«I just wanted my drinks paid for». That was simply not the case, I just wanted the correct bill. After asking to speak to a manager, I come to find out he is drunk sitting outside and was rude and uncooperative when I tried to explain the situation. He proceeds to tell my husband to «just leave».

Great beer specials and great wings. The mac n cheese bites were average. I think they would be a lot better if they used different breading or made them larger so you taste more mac n cheese. Great sunday football menu options too.

This place usually has live entertainment. The bartenders are usually really fast. Unfortunately, it gets very loud in there. It is one of the few places open late night Fort Myers Beach. I recommend it because it doesn’t attract the trash like the north end of the island. The pizza is actually very good. I definitely recommend it. Unfortunately, they removed the pool tables, dart board, and the lobster machine. I am assuming to make room for more tables.

Went on Wednesday. Took friends from visiting from up north. Food good, a little pricey for what we got, service was great, spent $ 100 but tipped very well. High light of the night was the live entertainment! Band was incredible; keeper the patrons engaged for the whole night. The dance floor was packed from the first song to the last. Everyone was having a great time, and the Castaways had to be happy because the drinks were flowing. We will definitely make this a weekly, or more, event to attend! DEFINITELYRECOMMENDCASTAWAYS, ANDESPECIALLYWHEN«Off The Chain» ISPLAYING!

So great. under new management we were so welcome… met many new friends and had a great time. The best aspect of this bar is what you make it… many different types of people made this place extremely interesting… they were all there to have fun dancing and enjoying good food and spirits.

If I could leave zero stars I would. The frozen drinks were pure syrup with no taste and no alcohol. They also were not blended so it was like sifting through syrup and chunks of ice. The calamari was frozen, rubber, and disgusting. The Beach bread was soggy, had not fresh tomatoes, and tasted like nothing but stale blue cheese. Awful. AVOID!!!

Was hungry and this place was close to our condo and open when we got in. Had tasty fried string beans and the white pizza. Both were extremely delicious. Solid beer selection for solid prices. Live music and friendly staff.

I stopped in this place a couple nights while in Fort Meyer’s Beach, it had a «cheers» feeling to me. Nice people & bartenders along with great bands on certain nights. Next time I’m in town I’ll stop back by.

If it wasn’t for the very nice owner/manager, we would have given this place only 1 star. The food was bland, lacking flavor and caused my boyfriend to have almost immediate diahrrea… I ordered the blackened fish which came out grilled and cold. Our waitress wouldn’t help so we had to get the manager to send it back. Their ranch dressing was awful too. The place turns into a night club at 9pm so all the old vacationers ate dinner with their«rave» glowsticks and flashy lights. Everyone eating at the restaurant, aside from me and my boyfriend was about 65 or 75 years old. They serve pitchers with plastic cups. Just all in a really depressing waste of our time and money. Would not recommend anyone here.

Castaway’s has become our bar away from home… bars. When we’re in Fort Myers Beach — husband, cousins, in-laws, step-siblings, great-aunts, monkey’s uncle’s roommates — you’ll find the whole motley lot of us* here just about every night and into the wee hours. Why? Pool tables. Darts. Live music(all rock these days, gone is cheeseball Johnny Vance). The most down-home, friendly servers and bartenders around. Welcoming locals who will chat you up or leave you alone, whatever vibe you give off. A kitchen that stays open until 2 am. And some of the best pizza I’ve ever found anywhere. The rest of the food is totally mediocre, but the pizza is like crack. We all think it’s the crust that makes it, but the expertly melted cheese and generous toppings certainly help. Castaway’s might not be a destination spot for folks visiting FM Beach, but it’s become one for us. It’s just about everything you’d look for in a laid-back neighborhood bar. *Even tho we all disagree, Step-BIL would want me to tell you that the scene here is «lame.» But he marches to own drummer for sure.

Totally disappointed to show up this season and see that this place is no longer Loggerheads. Loggerheads was great! This place not so much. Ownership, management, and staff has completely changed. The owners of Loggerheads, Van and Pat, and their staff is what made this place tick. Van worked days and was such a pleasure to speak with and be around. I learned that he had over 40 years of restaurant experience before buying Loggerheads for his own. Pat, his wife, worked the evening shift and the bands she had lined up really packed the house. The food was good, the drinks were cold, and everyone felt like a local or a friend. Loggerheads will be missed.
