South Beach Grille

Been going here for years. The bar food is good and fairly priced.
The bartender Doug was a rude jerk as usual.
Never asks if you want another drink, scowls constantly and pours weak drinks and basically does what he wants.
Laura is great as was Liz as long time bartenders.
So go for the bar food but avoid Doug at all costs. He had been there way too long and evidentially has something to hold over the owners head.

If you’re vacationing on south end or mid island, this is a must stop. Excellent food and service every time we come! Happy Hour is the best on Fort Myers Beach; unlike other restaurants closer to Times Square, South Beach Grille doesn’t downgrade the food and drink quality for happy hour! We always go for the Sushi, the ahi is absolutely delicious. Great food at great prices! Enjoy South Beach – you will be back!

This place was amazing!!! The ahi tuna dinner was the best I’ve ever had! The wait staff was very good! Will come back !!!

Yet another great meal at south beach grille. We were able to catch the early bird menu, as we were seated at 5:30pm. This includes soup or salad with their already great entrees.
We started with drinks, a margarita, cosmo, and Manhattan. All were well prepared. They always serve a bread basket which includes a variety of baked breads and two whipped butters, regular and an orange blend. Yum!
We all enjoyed the salads, which were basic house with vinaigrette and a pleasant basil flavor. For entrees we had grilled salmon, Seared ahi tuna, and baby back ribs. All were well prepared and tasty. As we ate on ³⁄₁₈ for dinner, my only disappointment was that we had bright red cabbage with the meals as a veggie. I mean, I understand that st. Patrick’s day was the day before, but I really don’t like yesterday’s cabbage in a new form for my side with a nice meal.
Anyway, service was good and we had a very nice time. Unfortunately, no room for dessert.

Wonderful dinner. A highlight when we are in fort meyers beach. Pricey but worth it. Had a great filet, fork tender and flavorful. A date night must.

This was an excellent meal. The portions were perfect and even on a very busy Saturday night the service was on point.

Went only for Happy Hour. The Coconut shrimp was not very good… tasted like cardboard. I must say… people eating at the bar… their food looked great, and everyone cleaned their plates do I’m giving it 4 stars based on that!

We ate here on our last night of vacation because it was convenient to our rental house. We were seated promptly, the waiter was not communicative and unfriendly.
The wrong food was delivered to our table and the waiter through a fit about it to a food runner: we ordered sushi and there was no soy sauce and our waiter was no where to be found. We were ignored by every service employee that walked by our table. The bill was delivered, the server stood by our table rudely waiting for us to put the card down. After we paid and were finishing our drinks and chatting amongst ourselves for less than 10 minutes when we were told that «I don’t mean to rush you, but I’m rushing you and we need this table for another party»
In all the years and places we have dined, I have NEVER been asked to leave a restaurant like this. It was so incredibly rude, we will never return.

Very good food & libations. Great service. Pleasant, polished setting for grown ups. Only drawback is the unfortunate reflection of the giant TV screen from yhevbar, into the dining area. They should fix that.

Great place bartender was very considerate food was absolutely prepared to perfection. Atmosphere was good, a bit pricey but worth it. I had roast pork cooked very well very tender very tasty very juicy.

Sat at the bar and ordered dinner from the bar menu. We ordered the muscles over angel hair and the roast pork meal. Both were delicious. There is a full bar and their house Cabernet was pretty decent also. Moderate prices and good service & food. Would definitely come back!

4.5 stars and definitely one of the best dining options for good food in Fort Myers Beach!
Food: For an appetizer we ordered the Pan Seared Yellow Fin Tuna, which is served raw with a small seaweed salad. This was a fresh way to start off our meal. I ordered 2 pounds of King Crab Legs, which was delicious! They even cut the shells in half, so there’s no need to work for your food. The legs were HUGE and full of really great pieces of meat! My boyfriend got the Sea Bass special, which is continued to rave about the rest of our vacation.
Drinks: They have a full wine list to fancy up your evening! It’s full of great bottle or glass options.
Venue/​ambience: This was the only real let down of the evening. It’s oddly located in a strip mall across the street from the beach. The inside is really boring with nothing unique or eye-​catching about the décor. It’s just bland tables, next bland tables, against terrible bright walls and a cheesy fish tank.
Pricing is a bet steep compared to other restaurants in the area, but if you want a nice dinner on Fort Myers Beach this is the best place to look (after Fresh Catch Bistro!)

I ordered pizza and it was good but I have had better since I’m from Miami their are more options of good places to eat.

Not one flavor blended well and I’m sad because I really wanted to like this place. Strike one: Calamari, over cooked, greasy, and not properly cleaned (I won’t mention the awful brown dipping sauce-​ooh I just did). Strike two: Seafood pasta– light cream sauce– why are there green beans on my plate?!? The scallops were under cooked, the shrimp was over cooked– it was just not good. Strike three: Sea Bass special– I don’t know what constitutes risotto in FMB, but this is NOT risotto. The fish was ok– a little over seasoned and swimming over a sea of «risotto» and spinach. Needless to say we will NEVER return… Slow service (I get were on the beach but step it up a little). So SBG IN FMB, you’re OUT!!! (It’s expensive for such poorly executed food– I’m far from frugal when it comes to food)!

A bit boring restaurant not at the beach in Ft. Myers. The sushi is good and fresh but my spicy tuna was too cold. That’s not good for the taste. For the main course we had tuna as well. It was very fresh and prepared the right way. They have very complex discount rules. I think they better stop this and lower their too high prices. And pushing to give 20% gruitary is not how it works. That’s way only three stars.

My mom and I are vacationing from Chicago. We came across South Beach Grille in Groupon and after studying the menu, we decided we HAD to try it out. We have ZERO regrets. For appetizers we tried Crab Cakes and Crispy Calamari, both incredible! For entrees we ordered the Sea Bass special and the Grilled Mahi Mahi, both dishes were beyond delicious with complimenting sides. For dessert were ordered the peach bread pudding, three words: Oh. my. Gosh!

Really great place! The BBQ ribs are a must try. They are fabulous. Ahi tuna is very good as is the sushi. Bread pudding is also very good. Share it. Too much for just one. The room is very well done too. A must try place!

What a gem. In an area filled with touristy restaurants is a great restaurant with good wine and well made meals. We enjoyed the service, thank you Chris! We enjoyed our meal and especially dessert. Great for a romantic dinner or family meal.

Had the king crab legs and the surf and turf was amazing. The surf and turf was great steak was done to my liking and the lobster tail was huge. King crab legs were the biggest I have ever seen. Staff friendly.

South Beach Grill, Estero Island, Fl
We stopped here for dinner on Sunday, May 24^th because there wasn’t a lot of choices in the area but this establishment had better ratings than the surrounding ones.
The restaurant is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. We waited for a while for the hosts to show up, he was in the kitchen.
We were seated and our waiter showed up, took our drink order, gave us the specials for the day (super fast) and left. As it turns out, our waiter was the only waiter in the restaurant. So he was super busy, aloof and sorta rude and short.
We ordered the seafood chowder, roasted pear salad and the prime rib. The seafood chowder tastes ok … in red sauce. The roasted pear salad was awesome and the prime rib was cooked perfectly but it had way too much fat.
The food was just ok, we have definitely had better. The place was busy so we had to wait for everything … including the bill.
Would we go again? No!

Gutes Restaurant im amerikanischen Stil. Die Kombinationen sind manchmal für den Europäer etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber so kriegt man etwas amerkianischen Lebensstil mit ;-)
Alles in Allem ein gutes Restaurant aber auch zu entsprechendem Preis. Dazu auch noch unerwartet im teilweise etwas heruntergekommenen Ft. Myers Beach. Probieren!

Das Restaurant befindet sich etwas unscheinbar etwas südlicher vom eigentlichen Zentrum und war von unserem Hotel (Outrigger) mit dem Auto gut erreichbar (Gratisparkplätze). Die Atmosphäre ist doch eher edel, würde man so von aussen kaum denken, grunsätzlich sind aber alle willkommen, war an diesem Abend mit Trägershirt & Flipflops da. Die Bedienung war echt freundlich und das Essen sehr gut. Wir hatten die Chicken– und Beef-​Satay Spiesse zur Vorspeise, die sind echt super lecker, ebenfalls zu empfehlen ist der Schockoladenmousse-​Kuchen.
