This is the new location for the market that was on the water but hard to get to when the tourist traffic was at a standstill Still super fresh seafood. This is by far the best. They know their stuff. Not the old divey picnic tables and fish bones everywhere but now a new generation. Now upscale and a little millenniumish. Not a bad thing. Lots of gourmet items in the store. Wine, olives, produce, cooking wares, frozen seafood, aged beef. And of course fresh seafood

Great deals on fresh quality seafood with a friendly helpful staff and a good selection of quality and boutique wines. Some nice cheeses and a few salami, the house made dips/spreads and smoked meats looked great also. The rest is kitschy overpriced kitchen goods, a small dry grocery sectioned, and a sad, sad small produce selection.

The 1÷15÷15 reviewer is a little bit confused. Beach Seafood Market is just that, a «seafood market». What he was confusing it with is the Skip One restaurant. I have never dined there, but I am glad he posted good things about their food. We will have to try it. I own a beach house here in Ft Myers Beach and winter here. Beach Seafood Market is THE place to purchase your seafood to prepare at home. They have all sorts of other non-perishable market items for your meal as well. If the fish is not already in the case, they will cut it for you right there in front of you. They are very knowledgable about how to prepare your fish and different fish to recommend. We purchase 20 – 30 pounds of fish to ship back north on dry ice every year when we leave for the summer in late April. If you want to know about a seafood market… ask a local.

For many years, my family visited nearby Sanibel Island. We stumbled upon the old Beach Seafood that was on the docks of San Carlos Island. The dining room had the ambiance of garage with a few old tables. But the food was great and we loved it. We made a point of going there every year. We hadn’t been to that area for a while. We are visiting Naples, and decided to go back. What a shock — they moved. We went to the new place and were disappointed. The food was good, but the atmosphere was the same as the hundreds of other seafood joints across south Florida. Our favorite dive is gone forever! Oh well, that’s progress. I do wish them well in the new location, but we won’t be going back.
