Very tasty and juicy burger. I don’t like to leave reviews but if you are complaining about the price go to McDonald’s.

My first visit to Smashburger last night. There is a lot to like about it, but I also feel it is over priced for what you get. You order at the counter, you can create your own burger(note that they add $$ for most items you add, so it can get very pricey) or you can order one of the burgers they have on the menu. I had the classic(big) on a classic egg bug, comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup and mustard. It is a big burger, but very thin. Very juicy. Split an order of regular fries. Not a huge order, thought there should be more $ 1.99. Fries are thin, which I like. Service was fine, the food came out quickly. Overall, I liked it, but given that a standard burger is $ 5.00 without fries it can get sort of pricey for a meal. I realize this is a fast-casual burger joint, not McDonald’s. But I left sort of hungry. That shouldn’t happen after eating a burger and fries.

Four cheers for another top-notch neighborhood burger joint! Have been here a few times over the last six months and thoroughly enjoyed the burgers each and every time! Much more than just another five guys, this little burger spot has an extremely creative menu of burger selections or customize your own to your liking. Not in the mood for a burger? They also offer chicken sandwiches, salads & hotdogs. If you come be sure and order the order the smash fries which are soaked in olive oil and sprinkled with Rosemary, oh so delicious! My Step-Son & I both also enjoy the hip refreshing atmosphere & upbeat music they play that makes you wanna dance & sing along as you chow down! ;) Highly recommend visiting smash burger if you’re tired of the same old burgers & the same old burger joints.

This place was pretty much awesome. Good, quick, and super unique burgers: boyfriend had the Miami which was packed with chorizo and a little kick from the sauce on super tasty bread; I had the cucumber & goat burger which was weird, refreshing, and delicious. I’d basically go back right now. Not sure why the entire staff channels Wednesday from The Addams’ Family, but a smile would have earned this place 5 stars.

I’m going to take back my last review! I went in today and order the smashed chicken sandwich with spinach, sautéed onions, and bacon along with lettuce and of course I side of fries. I have nothing bad to say about the fries cause they were fantastic!!! That’s why they got a star. As soon as my food came out the chicken and bacon were soaked in grease! I used two napkins to dab the grease from both. Then come to find out LETTUCE slice was DIRTY!!! NOTWASHED!!! I thought that was considered a HEALTHCODE rule wash all vegetables before cutting or serving. I didn’t take a picture of the chicken or the bacon because I was more concerned about the lettuce. Needless to say I took the lettuce and spinach off my sandwich and tried to eat the sandwich. Epic fail! I was totally disgusted! The lady who took my order was very sweet. Sorry but I can’t give you two stars.

This place really surprised me because my girlfriend was building so much of hype about this place that I didn’t know what to expect. The burgers are really good even though I’ve just had one, but I’ve been informed that I don’t have to come to Florida to have SmashBurger because there is one in Louisiana so I’m pretty stoked! I enjoyed the heck out of this burger and it was the perfect thing to eat after a long morning. Plus I like that this place is really simple and there’s just burgers or chicken. Can’t go wrong with that :)

The goat cheese spinach salad is delicious. The balsamic vinaigrette comes on the side. The salad is topped with cucumber, sunflower seeds, dried cranberries, tomatoes, red onions, and goat cheese. More veggies would make it 5 stars. All ingredients are high quality. For $ 2 extra you can get a whole breast of chicken added. The chicken has good flavor and is not overly salted like some restaurants. There is plenty of parking in their parking lot. Friendly staff that greeted me immediately. Order was fulfilled within 5 minutes.

Had a nice sampling of burgers. The only burger that I enjoyed at all was the Cheddar Bacon BBQ Burger. The flavor was ok but the burger was thin(because it was smashed) without a lot of taste to the meat. All of the burgers that I tried needed the flavors of the sauces in order to taste good and that, in my opinion, is not the way that a ‘great’ burger should be prepared. I also tried one of their chicken sandwiches which was bland and way too thin. The things that I liked were their veggies and sweet potato fries. The veggies were fresh, seasoned and great finger food. The servers were very friendly and attentive about refilling my drink multiple times.

This place is awesome… friendly staff the place is always spotless clean and the burgers are fantastic! Today I had the truffle mushroom burger. It was done perfectly and it’s so big it hangs over the bun. The smash fries are always great, they are tossed in olive oil and rosemary. If you haven’t been to a Smashbuger you are really missing out.

If you like your burgers extra thin, cooked well, and don’t mind skinny fries this place is for you. I was excited to try this burger place because well I love burgers BUT I was a tad bit disappointed. I ordered the Avocado Club(which isn’t a sandwich at all) and when I opened it there were 3 microscopic pieces of avocado staring at me. Now this is definitely avocado season in FL so why be so skimp. The sweet potato fries made me semi-forget the burger but to me this place is just A-Ok.

Does the world really need another burger place? Not unless they have standout items and smashburger doesn’t. Their burger is okay and the fries are nothing special – not even the seasoned ‘smash’ ones($ 1.99) which didn’t taste any different then the regular fries($ 1.99). The place is immaculate and the help friendly with smiles. There was a little confusion as far as the order going went with Allen ordering the classic burger($ 4.99) and I ordered the cheeseburger($ 4.99) which turned out to be the same thing. WE both had a fountain drink($ 1.89 each) so the check, with tax, came to $ 18.80 for an ordinary, small burger. Afterwards I discovered the Miami Burger on the to go menu which I certainly would have ordered as it seems to be a ‘different’ item from the other burger places. I don’t think I will be going back to try it.

Blue’s event was a total success and i had a great time having a little taste of all the burgers. The classic and the mushroom swiss were definitely my picks and a big surprise since i gravitate towards blue cheese and bacon. The chicken sandwich seemed like an okay option for those that like avocado, just not my thing. Forget any regional items like the frita burger, te lo regalo. I’m indifferent about sides, although they have nice fried pickles. The magic was in the burgers. The meat only comes in one temperature and are thin patties but i liked it and love the comparison of it being«probably what McDonalds tasted like when it first came out»(according to my boo. This little place is great in its true and overly simplified form and thats fine with me. Well seasoned and consistent. My favorite thing about all the burgers was the great bread. NICEBUNS! I like. I liked their little beer selection.

Holy highschoolers. There is a highschool in the area that lets students have off-campus lunch. I run into these twerps pretty often during my lunch breaks, but wowza I think I’ve stumbled upon their hive. I was pretty lucky in that I walked into Smashburger literally 20 seconds before the parade of underaged monstrosities did. I was able to walk right up to the register, order, and then have my pick of seats. But just be warned that if the stars are not aligned for you, there is a chance you will be waiting in a mile long line or fighting for a table. Good news is that Smashburger serves up a pretty fast lunch. Even if you get stuck in the long line, it seemed to move quickly. The food comes out in no time too, and I was back to the office in 45 minutes. The place is clean and the service is very friendly. I wish the food was a little better though. Not that it was bad, but, I wanted it to be better. I ordered the BBQ bacon cheddar chicken sandwich(minus the bacon). It had fried onion straws and was served on an egg bun– $ 6.99. I also shared a regular fry, opting to forgo the special Smashburger fries which are tossed in garlic and rosemary because I personally find rosemary to taste like ice-hot, and today I oddly wasn’t craving muscle rub. The chicken on the chicken sandwich was suuuuuper thin, like it was. get this. smashed. Oooh I get it. Because the chicken was smashed beyond its normal limits, it far exceeded the circumference of the bun which is something I personally abhor. Other than that it was pretty tasty, but it just felt like there was something missing. I mean yea, the bacon was missing and that was by choice, but there was something else lacking in the sandwich that i just couldn’t put my finger on. The fries were good simply because they were french fries and a fry has to do something really obnoxious in order for us to not be friends. But, they weren’t great. A wee too crunchy and a wee too lackluster in flavor. I was very intrigued by the flash-fried carrot sticks and green beans which I would probably order if I were to come back. Smashburger certainly did not make my list of top ten things I like to have in my mouth, but they made a gallant try.

Meh! Not very good especially compared to some of the other burger places nearby such as Jack’s Old Fashioned or even Burger Fi. I opted for the Bacon & Cheese Smash $ 5.99, a fountain drink $ 1.89 and fries for $ 1.99. The prices aren’t bad for what you get but I can get a lot better elsewhere for the same or just a few pennies more. The burger bun was good, the meat and cheese tasteless and the bacon seemed to lack a true smoky bacon flavor. The worst part, however, was that the place seemed unkempt as well as rather uncared for. I had decided to eat out in the alleyway patio. There were empty water bottles still on the tables, cigarette butts and used napkins all over the floor and since I was the only patron in the place with plenty of help standing around, the untidiness of it seemed inexcusable. I also found the patio not to be the best of places to eat as some of the help from Smash and other nearby places were using parts of the alleyway portion as their smoking, gossiping and cell phone area. I got to hear plenty of loud conversations along their seemingly endless use of various four letter words. However I did learn that some people seem capable of using the word«F**k» as a noun, pronoun, verb, adjective, adverb and to my surprise even as an objective correlative. As any local knows, when comes to burgers, it’s a competitive area and unfortunately Smashburger fails to measure up.

The burgers and buns are fresh, but the restrooms like every new restaurant need to be designed by the customer. The touchless sink is nice and even the touchless blowdryer is nice too, but for those customers who don’t use soap to wash their hands, I’m going to touch the door handle. So if you see toiletpaper on the floor, you have me to thank for that. It must be a fire code for the doors to open inward instead of pushing the door out. I like fresh sweet homemade tea, but the tea smelled old and needed to be thrown away. The young girl who took my order wasn’t listening to what I ordered, but just assumed, but yes, I’ll return, especially when I get another BOGO coupon!

Our first and probably last visit to Smashburger. After reading all the great reviews at other locations, we decided to wade through the traffic and into the city to give it a try. First, I needed to have packed my Uggs and Northface, because that A/C was cranked UP! The place was nearly empty, so we didn’t have to stand in line. The girl at the counter was friendly and courteous. I asked her about the size of the burgers and she said the«regular» was«about a quarter pound.» I should have picked up more on the«about» portion of that. I ordered the regular size on a Cuban bread bun(which I thought was a nice option), with a fried egg, sharp cheddar and sauteed onions. Then we waited… and waited… probably at least 15 min., which seemed very long for such an empty restaurant. In the meantime, I went to fill up a glass of water. The water shares the same tap as the lemonade. I tasted it and it tasted like water with just the wrong amount of lemon. So, we weren’t off to a great start. Eventually the burgers and fries came out. The sweet potato fries were good, not the best or worst, straight middle of the road. The order looked smaller than at most places. I bit into my burger, expecting the succulent juicy burger that is Smashburger’s claim to fame. The bun — I was expecting a Cuban bread bun. I don’t know if they got that part of the order wrong, but it tasted like a regular bun to me. The patty was thin and borderline crunchy, with lots of grease. If that was«about» a ¼ lb., it did a lot of shrinking. The egg was spread so thin that it added no character to the burger at all. I had, maybe, a couple of tablespoons of sauteed onions, not nearly enough to provide decent coverage on the burger. I tried a couple more bites. It just seemed like something was missing, so I opened it up. Where was my promised sharp cheddar? Nowhere on that burger! We went back to the counter and told them, they promised to bring out the cheese after warming it slightly. After several minutes of my burger getting cold, they came out with a thin slice of sort of melty cheese. I slithered in onto the remaining burger and tried again. The cheese slice was too thin to add any significant flavor to the sandwich. So it’s safe to say that this will be the last place we go if we’re in search of a burger. The Whopper is much better.

We were curious to try this place because we were unable to attend the Unilocal event at the Smashburger down in Miami. I ordered the Avocado Club burger(regular) and it was ok. It was supposed to have fresh avocado, bacon, lettuce, tomato and ranch on a whole wheat bun. The burger was pretty greasy as opposed to being juicy, which was a bummer. Instead of putting fresh avocado on my burger, they put guacamole. Luckily for me, it made the burger a lot better and gave it some flavor. The burger patty was under a ¼ pound and seemed fairly small in portion size. I wouldn’t make a special trip to this burger place, especially since it’s a fair distance away. The sweet potato fries with sea salt were good, not the best I’ve ever had, but decent. The staff was nice and helpful, however I’ve just had a lot better burgers in the same price range that I prefer.

Disappointing! We had heard so much about Smashburger and perhaps our expectation was too high. But the time to get our burgers seemed long. The burger was well done(«doneness» not technique) with the lack of flavor that accompanies no pink, even the bacon was difficult to detect. Nice bun. The staff was friendly and I do believe they were doing their best. I just have had better burgers.
