View is very nice but I was unhappy to see some cigarette butts & bottle caps in the sand. Even spotted some broken glass. Ugh! I wish people would be respectful! Otherwise, beach was safe for my small family to play, swim and have a good time. Beach across the street from plenty of shopping, restaurants, bars and hotels. Can rent a lounger chair for $ 12/day and an umbrella for $ 20… Pricey! Water nice and there are lifeguard stands.

What do you mean the beach closes at 5!!! It was definitely a huge shock to this SoCal girl. I was ready to tan 10 shades darker to blend in with the Floridians! The good thing about the beaches here is the amount of bars and boutiques that are literally just a few steps away. And despite the huge signs that advise you not to have any alcohol on the beach, we decided to be rebels and bring our unfinished fishbowl from Lulu’s across the street. Plus side is that they supply you with beach chairs, until they come around and sweep them right away from underneath you. The sand here wasn’t too pleasant. I felt like I was walking on chipped rocks!
