Banyan Pilot Shop

What a beautiful shop!!!
Banyan Pilot Shop is by far one of the best pilot shops in all of south Florida! We’re talking a huge selection of all of the following:
* aviation supplies for student pilots
* clothes ranging from baby outfits to pilot wives to pilots themselves
* flying accessories like watches and flight bags
* simulators for flying practice
* electronics/​headsets
In addition to an enormous amount of supplies, is an über friendly and helpful staff. We were amazed at how helpful the woman was that was working there yesterday. She was thorough in her explanation of which study tools for ground school were best.
Banyan Pilot Shop also honored their «check in offer» which was a free «remove before flight» keychain! Go them!
All around we had a super positive experience here!

My husband is a pilot, I personally don’t care about airplanes and piloting but each time we go to this store I just love it!

I went online looking for a iPad mount and found Banyan had what I was looking for and the items were even on sale. Since I live in the same city rather then having it shipped I decided to go to the shop to pick it up. When I arrived I quickly found the items but realized that they did not show the price marked down like it did online. I brought this to the store manager’s attention to which he replied «that is the online price». I asked if he could price match considering they are the same company to which he said no. He then offered half the discount that there website offered or gave me the option to order it online and have it shipped to the shop but I would then be charged a processing fee for doing so. I then asked why would I do that when I could just have it shipped to my house? He went on to state that they were the best pilot shop and the only one that lets you «try it before you buy it» apparently driving across town to pick up the item is more valuable then the convience of having it delivered. Not to mention that is not a true statement. I felt this was a case of bait and switch. Had I just assumed it was priced as advertised I would have paid significtly more. Also in this era of amazon and online shopping, this is the only company I have seen that not only will not price match, but won’t even price match their own website. Buyer beware and Banyan beware, amazon prime offers free shipping and I can have any item delivered to me in two days or less. This is what I get for trying to spend my money locally.

My hubby recently became a pilot, but from all his experience pilot friends, they all said this was the Toys R Us for the big pilot kids… and they were right! BEST Pilot shop in South Sarasota!

Cool place. Something for everyone in the pilot’s group! This is a well stocked pilot store with everything from electronics, a nice selection of headsets & charts, to cleaning supplies, clothing & toys. Friendly, helpful service. No ramp fee at Banyan and shop till you can’t afford more! Which won’t take you long.

Professional staff with pretty much everything you need as a pilot minus the gas!

Complete pilot shop. If you can afford it. This place is cool. got to fly a 737 inside a cockpit of a gulftsream jet,
this was definitely a toy store for adults.
