Not sure if I would ever come back, to be honest. I was rather excited to come check them out, but I was really disappointed. It was awkward getting into the place, you enter through a pizzeria and the door is wide open, there is really no secrecy behind it so take away the«speakeasy» vibe. Why is this even considered a speakeasy, by the way? In response to Sammy M. who said we don’t know how to appreciate a great craft cocktail, I tried 3 cocktails and they were all pretty rancid. Maybe my palette isn’t as «perfect» as yours, but I can tell when a bartender really doesn’t know what they’re doing. Our drinks were not done right. They tasted too floral. The drink that I wanted to order, they were out of the key ingredient, so I asked for a different drink that was a mock up of it, and it was just bad. The night that I went there was a DJ playing hip-hop music. Really? Not exactly the type of music I would imagine being played in a bar that is supposed to be reminiscent of 1920s blind pigs. The bar was small, REALLY small, not to mention a woman who brought a baby to the bar. Hey parents, it’s classless to bring your 3 month old to the bar. If you can’t afford a babysitter, don’t go out. A crying baby isn’t exactly what people want to hear when they are going out for drinks with friends. Our waitress was really nice, so I will give them that. And the décor was pretty interesting. But that’s as far as it goes. There are so many other great bars in Ft. lauderdale, and apothecary 330 just isn’t one of them. I give them another 6 months before they are belly up.

Finally found this place after walking back and forth. Maps kept sending me in circles. Anyhow it is located right next to Pizzacraft. You won’t know it’s there unless you’re looking. Unfortunately it was not quite what I was hoping. It’s very small. We didn’t try any drinks because I just didn’t want to hang out there upon checking it out. If you had a large group then maybe it would be more interesting but otherwise meh.

Great vibe, came here for a friends birthday and enjoyed the bar and atmosphere from different choices of whiskeys and then to top it off the good was amazing. Highly recommend it !

Waited 8 minutes to be acknowledged at a half empty bar top while both bartenders(who refused to crack a smile) seemed to be confused behind the bar. Ended up leaving. Shame, as the cocktail list piqued my interest.

Pricey drinks as expected. Great live band. Very limited seating. Staff was friendly and very attentive. We went early, around 8/9, interested to see what it’s like later into the night.

Honestly this place is so great. Last night was our second time and it definitely will not be our last. In regards to the negative reviews, those people obviously just do not know how to appreciate a great craft cocktail! You have to try for yourself and be able to understand the craft. We moved to Fort Lauderdale from San Diego just about 2 years ago. In San Diego these style of bars and lounges are everywhere. So when we found this little hidden gem it reminded us a piece of home. Don’t hate appreciate! PS… Kyle with the beard is a craft cocktail master!!! Thanks Kyle!

After an incredible meal at Pizzacraft, my friend and I decided to head back into Apothecary 330. From simply reading reviews about the place, I expected… a door or a passage way, but it is literally just at the end of the bar behind a wall. I also came in expecting a door man and this door man to be telling me that I was underdressed(I was completely unsure what the supposed«dress code» was but I did happen to be wearing ripped jeans… oops) but none of that happened. My friend and I just walked in, gave the(crowded) bar a once over and then decided to sit down on one of the couches. We thought that we’d check out their cocktail menu before heading over to the bar to order drinks. To our surprise, we didn’t even need to go to the bar to order! Someone approached us, helped us with drink decisions and took our order from the couch. I thought that was awesome because we wouldn’t have to fight our way to the bartender. My friend had the Rx while I ordered Snoop’s Kool Swizzle. I don’t mind paying a lot for a drink if it’s part of the experience/if it’s a good drink, and I definitely think I got my money’s worth. My friend wasn’t absolutely over the moon about her drink(she said it was rather warm, which I think it was meant to be?) but I liked mine. Snoop’s Kool Swizzle was very sweet, much sweeter than I’d typically enjoy, but it was something nice to have in my hand while we talked and people watched. Plus, I felt like it was never ending, no matter how much I drank. I’m not sure if I’d head back here myself cause places like this really are more about the experience/ambience than the drinks for me(especially when it comes down to spending about $ 15 per drink) but I’d definitely recommend it for anyone who hasn’t been.

Call me underwhelmed, but I was not impressed with the Apothecary 330. Maybe I caught them on an off night, but it was one of those bar experiences that were just a tad bit awkward. The bar itself is beautifully decorated. The walls were red and adorned with black trim and old school paintings. The sofas were comfy; however the space is pretty small. Overall, the style of this speakeasy was very nice although it doesn’t seem to me like a «speakeasy». It’s more or less just a regular bar with creative drink options. My friends and I each ordered something different. I had the«Flowers from Ashley Judd» and it tasted like Dimetapp. My other two friends didn’t particularly care for their drinks either. One of them ordered the Apothecary’s spin on a Tom Collins(forget what the name was) and it tasted like grass. The music wasn’t exactly my cup of tea either. It was a bunch of hip-hop songs that I’d never heard before; nothing that you could really move to and they all had a Chris Brown vibe to them. Oh, and there was a baby in the bar. Am I the only one that gets bothered when people bring babies to bars? But to bring my first review of the year to a c lose, I will say that the service was excellent. Our waitress was really friendly and she did a great job attempting to explain their drinks to us. I just didn’t particularly care for them and probably will stick to the dive bar scene in the future.

Indeed a nice little place, unusually cool for the crappy Fort Lauderdale scene. The vibe is great and i love that they have a dress code. I did not have any success with drinks — whatever i ordered tasted like cough syrup and i like drinks on the sweeter side. Also i am not sure how i feel about raw egg white in my drinks(half the drinks have egg white in them of course you can order without, but its not the same). I dont know why people say they take the speakeasy vibe seriously… The music is atrocious … i am okay with some hip-hop here and there but it just does not fit this place. i would have liked to hear some house remixed original 1920s speakeasy. now that would have been cool Also you can order from the Pizza place next door but you can only eat at the bar.

So we came here on a Saturday night. Atmosphere — amazing, well designed and executed. Drinks — delicious. Service — impeccable. Music — oh, the music… The hip-hop just doesn’t fit the place. Something more chill, lounge/house type would be much more fitting, at least in my opinion. Anyway, if you come here(and make sure you don’t use Apple Maps or you will never find it) make sure you try the Getting Leid in Scotland– it is my favorite so far!

I had heard a lot of buzz about Apothecary 330, and being a craft cocktail kind of guy, felt obligated to check it out. First thing you will notice about this place is they take the whole speakeasy thing very seriously. There is apparently a dress code. Not a problem for me that night, but have had this issue when I tried to get in with a friend previously. You also have to get in through Pizza Craft, through sort of a narrow entrance way which is often used by the servers, so having your head about you is a good thing. I was sure I was going to knock one of these poor girls out by accident. Inside, it is a little crowded at the bar. I don’t mean in terms of patrons, but as far as usable space. As mentioned, there are servers coming in and out of this space frequently so if you’re sat on the pizza craft end of the bar, as I was, there is quite a bit of traffic. There are booths in here as well, so that could be a good option, but I wanted to be able to chat with the bartenders a little bit about the drinks, so I had to opt for the bar. The bartenders themselves were very friendly and dedicated to their craft, in more than one way. I saw one guy foaming up a drink and the fountain gun hiccuped and sprayed foam all over him. He didn’t even blink, just finished up the(rather complicated) drink order then dried himself off. The sign of the true professional! I had a couple of bartenders and they were both excellent, and accommodated my requests. I started off with an Old Fashioned, which is my usual test for any new craft bar. Everyone does them a little differently. Some good, some not so good. Apothecary serves up a pretty great one. I would rank it up there with the better Old Fashioneds I’ve had down here. They put the requisite care into making it and used good starting materials. Next, I decided to ask them to make me a cocktail that I had had a while back and kind of remembered the ingredients, but not really the proportions. Typical chemist problems! I asked my bartender(Tamara, I think. I’m bad with names.) to make me a chocolate/orange drink based on vodka, cointreau, orange juice and crème de cacao. Unfortunately they did not have crème de cacao but another chocolate liqueur. Somehow, Tamara managed to make an outstanding drink out of my vague instructions and the ingredients available, so hats off to her. Prices are standard for a craft cocktail bar in this part of town. No surprises on the bill. Plus you can order food from the adjoining Pizza Craft if you wish. Overall, an excellent place for a drink. Quality is top notch and excellent service. Could benefit from a little more room or a layout change, but I think that’s kind of locked in at this point. Give it a shot!

So a couple months ago when I went to pizza craft I was wondering why was there a giant black curtain in the second half of the indoor dining space across from the bar. I just assumed it was still being worked on to open more space for people to eat inside. Really what was going on was a creation of a completely different concept. This is where apothecary is located. It’s a speakeasy style bar so there is no outside sign or front entrance. There was a front door but it was closed. It has really swanky décor. Very dimly lit no windows giving you a cool 1920s vibe. To drink the BF got a vodka dirty martini and I got the Rx. Very elaborate drink to make with the bartender swishing different ingredients together even egg white. All adorned with the Rx written on the top. The drink was on the stronger side and I enjoyed it. The specialty drinks are priced at about 13 each. So very easy to run up a bill after a few. We were there in the earlier part of the night(around 830) so they didn’t have any live music but I overheard that they typically do. I would definitely go back and try a few more speciality cocktails and pretend I’m living that gatsby life.

We were there on a late Sunday afternoon so it was not busy. Was able to chat with the mixologists(Tamara and Kyle) who were most helpful and passionate about their drinks. Wife had to gin fizz which she really liked and I had an Old Fashioned which was above average. Craft cocktail prices were a bit steep($ 13.30) but quality liquor and ingredients are used. Ordered some polenta fries and a Forager pizza which we ate at the bar. Both were terrific. An $ 8 glass of chianti to go with the pizza was delicious. Downgrade to 4 stars because 4 drunks showed up a few minutes after us and were loud and obnoxious. Apparently they had been downing unlimited Mimosas at another place. Management did nothing to quiet them down or remove them. Fortunately one chic had to go the ladies room to barf so they didn’t stay much longer. Definitely marred our experience

This is located right next to a pizza place in downtown Fort Lauderdale. It’s supposed to be a speakeasy, but the outside door was propped open(probably to attract customers, as there’s no outside sign for the bar). There’s a red light outside to help you know you’ve found it. Our bartender was really obsessed about the cocktails. He allowed us to sample this special syrup used for some of the drinks, and I ended up ordering the Prescription. It was unique and packed a bit of a punch, but I liked it. I love the décor but found the contemporary music to clash with the ambiance.

Upon first hearing about Apothecary 330 I was intrigued! I love craft cocktails and I love the Speakeasy vibe, so it sounded like just my place. The girls and I were out for a happy hour and since we were slightly dressed up, it made sense to give Apothecary a try(they do have a dress code). I took a page from my friend Amy’s review and asked Tamara the bartender to make me something special. After discussing my likes and dislikes she created a «Spicy Savanna», which wasn’t my favorite, didn’t seem spicy(had a cream base) and was exactly the same name she had named my friend Amy’s drink and few weeks earlier. My friends tried a few other drinks but none of them really called out to me. I will say, that someone ended up getting me a Mescal Fizz, which I fell in love with, and is definitely an amazing drink! The vibe in here wasn’t the best. I guess I was expecting a little bit more speakeasy, instead they’ve only got the ambiance right, but the music, the promotional drink girls, the pizza at the bar, I don’t know it just didn’t all come together for me.

So although drinks are awesome and atmosphere is great — a/c is a must. I strongly suggest if you want to keep women in an establishment, you keep it cool. Also — for a speak easy, I expected more lounge type music, not hip hop, a little top 40 is good, but to keep the theme of the place, music is a big part. Hoping this place sticks to its guns and doesn’t fall victim to Ft Lauderdale.

So I have been here a few times now. The first time, the bartender was amazing and made me and my other two friends this great cocktail. We found out what the name was and decided to come back after each performance(we are currently in a production at the Broward center down the street). We have also decided to go to the restaurant a few times and even order take out. Again, pleasant experience. Here’s where the negative comes into play. The first time we went, I was in shorts. The second time I went, also in shorts AND we get a different bar tender. Order the SAMEEXACT drinks and get charged about $ 15 more than the previous visit. The third time we went, we were turned away because all of a sudden there is a dress code and I was in shorts. It is Himmershee. It is South Florida. There is no way for this establishment to succeed with a dress code such as no shorts or sandals. Especially on this«casual» street and especially being so inconsistent. We were literally giving this place so much business as we had recommended that the entire cast and some of the crew come and see how cool this bar was. I don’t mind paying for a pricey drink, but I do mind being over charged. While eating at the restaurant, the waiter talked to us about the entire establishment and explained that they had not gotten the«surge» of business since their grand opening. The last place that was here, Taps, closed. I would assume it was because of terrible service as we also tried going there a lot after shows. I hope this place doesn’t suffer the same fate. Advice, remove the dress code and be consistent with drinks and pricing. Review for restaurant will be posted under Pizzacraft.

If you are looking for a traditional speakeasy bar, complete with a nondescript, semi-hidden entrance and a purposely shut solid door, this is not your place. But if you want some well crafted drinks created by some of the best mixologists I have had the pleasure to meet, Apothecary 330 if your place! Located downtown Fort Lauderdale inside of Pizza Craft. I had no idea that this place existed until my friend brought me here on a Thursday night. I really love the décor. Dimly lit, amazing ambiance. There are leather chairs with side tables, leather couches with a larger tables and a bar. We opted for the bar. Our bartender, Tamara, made great recommendations to each of us based on our usual drinks preference. I started with Flowers to Ashley Judd, bourbon based drink. The Rx was next which was gin based. I am not a huge fan of gin but Tamara assured me that I would enjoy it. SO good! Tamara was very knowledgeable and even created a «Spicy Amy» for me based on my likes. She hit all of the points! Spicy & Savory. She is the type of person I want making my drinks everywhere I go. I highly recommend Apothecary 330 for a top notch drink!

Exactly what Ft. Lauderdale has been missing for years, a great craft cocktail bar that can meet everyone’s tastes. Decided to check this place out tonight with mixed expectations. After being disappointed with the quality of the cocktails at Stache, I didn’t know if they would create something in the downtown setting that would actually call for high quality. Like usual l, the JEY group shattered my expectations. I started with an old fashioned because it is always a great litmus test of how a bar can craft a cocktail. They covered their bases and I was thoroughly impressed. I was fortunate to have a great cocktail artist, Tamara, to help me pick my next drink. I explained my love for a good Negroni and Mezcal. She pointed me in the direction of their speciality cocktail«The French Connection». It was a perfect mix of smoke and sweetness. Lastly, Tamara decided to try to craft some personal concoctions for us. She crafted a spicy and savory bourbon and basil recipe for my friend Amy.(note: if you visit, ask Tamara for the«Spicy Amy»! She wrote down the ingredients since it was such a hit.) My cocktail was a mix of Mezcal, tequila, bitters, ginger and lime. Another smokey and refreshing hit. All in all, we had a great experience, made some new friends and truly enjoyed our night.
