Not terrible but a couple slices of Velveeta between some bread and a can of Campbell’s tomato soup is better. Good place for kids, but don’t see it lasting at this location. Guess the Sharks saw something I don’t.

Sub par sandwiches and soups. The Mac and cheese was very greasy. I had 3 slices of brie cheese on my entire sandwich. I will not be returning.

I am not sure where all the rave reviews came from, but I did not eat at the same restaurant. The grilled cheese sandwich was good, but overpriced. However, the soups were horrific. We tried three: tomato(plain), split pea, and the blue cheese chili. The tomato soup was bland and tasted like a VERY basic marinara sauce. The split pea was somewhat edible but was way too chunky — think a chili version of split pea soup — but despite all of the ingredients was also bland. The blue cheese chili was completely inedible. It was dark red and full of grease around the edges. There was so much chili spice that it felt like you were eating straight chili paste. After one bite, I can’t imagine anyone going back in for another taste. Disastrous. If your main menu items are soups and sandwiches both should be stellar. These were not.

Having just made my first visits to this joint, I’m glad to say that it is a very good place for both comfort food AND twists on an American classic. I haven’t been brave enough to try the grilled cheese on-a-doughnut yet, but I will, someday. I only gave 4 out of 5 because my poor wife got a blond hair in her sandwich. The management responded promptly and courteously, so we won’t automatically be cutting them off. I’d love to see places like Tom & Chee replace the Micky D’s of the world.

Honestly, how can you go wrong with variations on grilled cheese and soup? I have now been in a handful of times, about half for work meetings and the rest for fun with friends, and the food has always been amazing. My go-to sandwich is the mushroom swiss — their rye bread is a thing of beauty. And as a Wisconsin girl, I am in love with their beer cheese soup. It’s not always available(it’s a daily special), but if it’s on the menu when you go, GETIT! You won’t regret it. Recently, I’ve been venturing into their world of donuts and I almost wish I hadn’t… it’s woken up my sweet tooth! I haven’t had them enough to make a strong recommendation for any particular kind, but so far my favorite is the strawberry lemonade donut. Yum. I definitely recommend them, especially to my fellow vegetarians and vegans as they are super friendly on their menu to us, and to my fellow lunch meeting people — you know who you are — as they offer the perfect location and menu options to keep the whole party happy.

Wonderful! Everything was delicious! I got the BLT grilled cheese with a small side of Mac and cheese. The grilled cheese was good, but the Mac and cheese was so gooey and scrumptious!!! It was heaven in my mouth! I will definitely be back for more and am desperate to try the Smore grilled doughnut!!! Went back and tried the Smore grilled donuts. O.M.G. AWESOME!!! Sweet, but not overly so. Great chocolate flavor and the donut was light and fluffy with a scrumptious crunchy bite. Yummy!!!

Blue cheese chilli wow! Armegoetta amazing! Beef and Cheever with fried onion and horseradish sauce fantastic! Mac and cheese to die for! Keep up the good work guys we had an amazing lunch. Didn’t get to the desert donut this time but we will be back. If you haven’t eaten here yet put it on your must list. The above items are some of the best but all the rest are just as good.

I felt excited walking in and reading all the things they make in house then I saw someone in the kitchen scooping hummus out of a large can. It ruined it a little for me. Hummus is so easy to make why scoop it out of a can?? I had the Blueberry Blue and it was good but I thought it would be more of a sandwich not dessert, my bad. My Hubs had the Turkeychee he said it had no flavor. For some reason I feel like giving g them another try.

So I heard about Tom + Chee opening up in Fort Collins several months ago and was pretty excited because I love both grilled cheese and tomato soup. Finally got to try it for myself and see what all the buzz is about, and I’ve got to say, based on my(first) experience there: yummmm. I ordered half of a Tom and Chee grilled cheese plus a grilled cheese donut, the one on man vs food, the blueberry blue. They were delicious! The grilled cheese was light and fluffy and garlicky with a nice level of cheese, and even though the donut was messy, it too was quite tasty. I think there’s some blue cheese in it that gives it a salty kick to counteract all that sweet. Anyways, while I wouldn’t eat this grilled/fried type of food all the time, I’ll probably go there occasionally and would say you should at least try it once for yourself. If you want something a little healthier, go for the salads or the soup! Also, CSU students: go look for the coupon in the ram coupon book, you can get 30% off your total order, among other deals.

Yikes! My canned soup and just plain grilled cheese at home is way better and a fraction of the price. Totally not impressed and didn’t enjoy the food or experience at all. Not sure what the hype is all about.

Been here once for brunch and once for dinner. The Smorws donut was different & delicious. I just had the BLT-Chee and it was very good as well. Loved the crumbled bacon and fresh diced tomatoes. Oh… and spring for a side of mac & cheese. It’s SUPER cheesey!

A M A Z I N G!!! My favorite new concept, the menu is so fun and is imaginative. I had the BLT+Chee minus the«L» and a lil dipper of the classic tomato soup. Finished with a little piece of heaven named the Smore donut sandwich. I want 12 stacked for my birthday. PLEASETRYTHISPLACE, its too fun to pass up. Ill be back often.

Grilled cheese is my absolute favorite thing in the world, so when I heard about this place I had to try it out. I ordered the Mac and chee(mac and cheese grilled cheese) and the s’mores grilled cheese doughnut for desert. Everything was delicious! It was a liiiitle bit on the pricy side($ 7 for my sandwich and $ 6 for my desert) but worth the money! I went with some friends and the only thing we tried that I didn’t quite like was the tomato dipping soup. It was a little too acidic for me. Otherwise great place!

Well let’s start by saying the service was great. But if you like processed cheese and white bread, you would love this place. I ordered the baccon and blue. The bacon was very bland and the blue cheese had no flavor at all. I did not know they even made a processed blue cheese. The Tomato soup was OK. The interior was plastic on plastic with plastic baskets and plastic spoons. Sorry to say I will not be back.

Is there anything better than grilled cheese and tomato soup? The correct answer is, Heck no!(It’s probably even better when eaten not at the end of July in 90 degree weather) I really enjoyed my grilled cheese and soup combo, and liked that you can add things like mushrooms and tomatoes to the sandwich. It’s a little pricy, but definitely worth it.

My family and I just ate at the Ft. Collins Tom + Chee — we’ve never been to a Tom + Chee before — and all we can say is WOW! I usually don’t do reviews often– but this place rocked! This is not your regular grilled cheese, the kind you make at home, this is true GOURMETGRILLEDCHEESE sandwiches! We had the Flying Pig, the Turkey Pesto, the Hot + Spicy, and the Swiss + Shroom. My husband has a gluten allergy — we were so happy they not only offered great tasting gluten-free bread, but soups, too. The staff was great with making sure everything was safe for him and they were so knowledgeable about which cheeses, etc, contained even traces of gluten and they even had a separate grill for non-gluten sandwiches. So impressive! We also had salad with HOMEMADE dressing, soup, and their grilled cheese donuts– which were all incredible. The food was fresh, flavorful, and amazing. Basically, it was awesome! The staff was very friendly and so helpful in answering our many questions about the menu and the gluten-free options. The restaurant was very clean and had a cheery atmosphere. We highly recommend Tom + Chee and we’ll definitely be repeat customers!

We didn’t really enjoy our first visit to Tom + Chee. We came during brunch time on a Sunday and they were pretty slammed, the indoor seating was full, which isn’t too surprising for how new it is. The menu is a little intimidating. I’m not sure how they can have so many different options for bread, meats, veggies and other toppings(including chips and mac+cheese). We each got two very different sandwiches, one on a donut and one on wheat bread. Somehow they were both equally covered in grease, oil or butter. I understand why they provide napkin dispensers at each table. The donut sandwich sounded like an awesome idea, but I don’t think I’ve ever purchased a donut that was the equivalent size of an english muffin. The blueberry compote might have been good if it had the tartness of a real blueberry, but mostly seemed like a sugar syrup with mashed up blueberries in it. We might visit again and switch up our sandwiches, but I don’t have high hopes based on this first impression.

I have one word to describe this restaurant. Meh. The food was ok, but I make fancier grilled cheese sandwiches at home. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The menu was overwhelming and in some places confusing. The soup was good but nothing is go out of my way for. The regular size drink is equivalent to everyone else’s small size. The portions of food were also smaller compared to most other fast casual restaurants. The price however was not. I paid $ 10.95(after tax) for the grilled Mac and cheese with bacon combo. Not a large portion of food, not oh-so-delicious mind blowing food… Just regular unimpressive expensive food. I probably won’t go back because of the steep prices.

Food was amazing — creamy tomato soup is a must– build your own grilled cheese– I’m in Heaven! Mac and cheese was so-so.
