Don’t waste your time. On the positive the hostess and female wait staff are very professional, courteous and attentive. waitress sat me down quickly at the dining room and I told her the situation I was having a sugar crash she understood and said«will tell the waiter right away» which she did right in front of me at my table, unfortunately for me the waiter was«Carlos». He was told to «bring out a salad and an appetizer right away he’s having a sugar crash» he said«okay I’ll get them out» over 20 minutes later I finally caught Carlos attention ask him where my salad and appetizer are? «Oh sorry they’re coming out with your dinner» I reminded him that both the waitress and I told him to bring out those items right away due to my sugar crash he said he «knew nothing about it» I said we both told you the same thing, he walked away shaking his head in anger. i left a couple of bucks on the table to cover my drink and walked out due to «Carlos» poor attitude and incompetence. I would like to thank Famous Dave’s Barbeque, «Carlos» and management, if it wasn’t for their incompetence I would have never found a place that serves great Chinese food, Sally’s kitchen.

My family and I had to leave after waiting for a half an hour to even be served drinks. That is the only time I have ever left a restaurant because of poor service. At least 5 servers continually walked by our table without helping us. I will probably not return to this restaurant.

Horrible food. Sandwich bun was stale, the beef was lukewarm, tough, and had lots of hard tough fat. The salad was not made fresh, plus it had some horrible tasting meat bits on top, that tasted disgusting. This was not worth the trip there. NOT a good experience at all. Will never go back. The waiter was nice.

Got Meat? Well, yes they do! We came here on a Saturday night for my daughters birthday! The entrance /wait room was cool, very spacious and the ambiance is great! The resto was packed, but not too packed. They have plenty of seating area. The service was also great, our waitress was consistent, but not overwhelming. We ordered the Beef Nachos for a starter and the Family Feast. The chicken and and brisket was amazzzzing! Both was juicy and the flavor was awesome! Best to try some of their BBQ sauce, a few to choose from, all was yummy! I had my dinner with a side of collard greens and coleslaw. I also took a couple of bites of their french fries, which was good! Seriously, if I wasn’t dieting and counting my calorie intake, I would have pigged out and had a beer, but instead, I ate a small portion of my dinner with a glass of red. ;) My kids said that the pork ribs was awesome as well. Why didn’t I try it, you ask? I’m trying to be a good jew, but sometimes I’m tempted to be a sinner and eat the sinful meat. ;) Hehe. I’m trying! In the end, we still had plenty of leftovers to take home! Great resto for family and groups.

Walked in last night to an empty restaurant. We sat at the bar and ordered a variety of food. I had the ribs and Georgia pork. It was pretty good. I’ve definitely had better but I’ve most certainly had worse. The sides were fine and the service was okay. I don’t know why the reviews are so poor. It was an overall decent meal at decent prices. I really know that native Coloradans have no idea what barbecue is… So why are they complaining?

Oh my my my. Nummy each and everytime we go. Our truly favorite place. Food is always great. No matter what we order. If I want more light of a meal I order the ceasar chicken salad. Ribs are great and the sauces are delish. Say Hi too Corey the best manager and Lincoln great waiter. The ice tea is very good and bread pudding yummy.

Stopped in for lunch and we both got brisket. It was so dry! The waiter brought us out another dish, and it was better, but not what we usually get from FD. We were both disappointed and won’t be going back anytime soon.

I love this place! Not normally a chain kinda gal but this place is seriously on our wheel of food of choices when we go out! Brisket was melt in your mouth tender I would recommend that in a heart beat we’ve ordered rib tips now twice and I understand they’re suppose to be burnt but they were to the point you couldn’t eat them because they were super hard but rest of the food makes up for that ten fold. Yesterday we decided to check out happy hour I got a Bloody Mary for 6 bucks I was expecting a little average Bloody Mary no way that thing was huge and super yummy. We also got the fried picked, they use bread and butter pickles which I’m usually not a fan of but wow these were so good not greasy at all just right amount of batter they were also mixed with fries which was a nice to cut the sweetness. Can’t wait to go back! Check this place out you’ll be happy you did!

Unique theme restaurant withe friendly service and excellent food. We tried the lunch specials and my vote goes to the brisket and catfish combo. I tried the spicy Mac and cheese side — very unique taste. Must have the dessert bread pudding — the best.

One of the two great Barbeque joints in Fort Collins/Loveland area. The other being Nordys. Have eaten here often, lunch and dinner. Atmosphere is great with a log cabin type of décor and many hunting, fishing items hanging around on the walls. Often there is a fire going in the fireplace. Good place for late nights also as they have plenty of beers and a nice bar. This place if for flannel shirt and jeans wearing type of people. T-shirts. Mountain type ambience. Food is great and, if you have 4 or 5 people in your crowd, try the family style dinner which includes everything they make! Great stuff, just take home the leftovers. They have a good selection of sauces and even a couple that you have to know about and ask for separately(one has pineapple in it). Both of these are really hot! I like this place and will definitely keep going back!

It’s difficult for me to determine exactly when FD’s went downhill. Maybe 2011, 2012? The meat(which no pun intended, is the backbone of ANYBBQ joint) has changed. I don’t know if an accountant at corporate got too happy with the red pen and insisted that they save 0.12% on meat, but I do know that I used to relish FD’s, and now I don’t. The sauces are still good, the good ol’ boy décor is intact, and the service is fine. Maybe I’ll smuggle in some good meat and sub it for my hunk of flesh that a zombie would balk at eating.

Let me start this by saying I’m not a big BBQ person. I could honestly take it or leave it. With that said, I have only been to Famous Dave’s for lunch when my coworkers have chosen it. Décor seems fitting for a bbq joint and the menu has everything I’ve ever seen at any other bbq chain. I’m extremely boring and always order roasted chicken and a boring side of steamed veggies. The variety of bbq sauce on the table will fit any palette as they have everything you could hope for. The chicken has always been moist and comes out bone-in. The veggies come out with too much butter and seasoning, so definitely order them dry if you want a healthy alternative. All dishes come with a cornbread muffin and it’s amazing, but high in calories. If you like bbq, this place is worth a shot but just be prepared to have a heavy meal.

We went for the special on Sunday which is somewhat more reasonably priced for the amount of food. Otherwise would never spend this much for this place. Ribs were good everything else was average at best. Other meat was very dry. Atmosphere feels like Applebee’s and is lacking some traditional elements and class.

Decent BBQ chain restaurant. It has great décor. Kinda of a Norman Rockwell, hunting & fishing, log cabin vibe to it. I really enjoy looking at the retro paintings throughout the place. I always have the ribs when I come here. Tangy, moist and delicious. Each table has an assortment of savory sauces to add to your choice meats. My favorite is the Devil’s Spit! I would drive by a Nordy’s and a Serious Texas BBQ to get here. Soooo much better. I’ve been to Memphis and this is nothing close to it but it still does a good job satisfying the craving.

In my continuing quest to find the best BBQ in northern Colorado, I decided to finally check out this national chain, a restaurant that seems to have a location in every place I’ve ever lived in, but where I’d never actually gone in to try. I went in for, believe it or not, lunch one sunny afternoon. It wasn’t what I expected, more of a sit down restaurant rather than the counter order and sit down you can expect at places like Souza’s, Hog Wild, or Serious Texas BBQ. It has an outdoorsy, hunting design theme, I ordered the rib ends lunch with mashed red potatoes and a beer on the side, hanging in the bar, and watching basketball over my lunch. It’s a great setup, the staff was friendly, and I’m pretty sure the manager was prowling to make sure everyone was having a pleasant meal. As for the food, it was a pleasant surprise, with a good combination of juicy meat and crispy spice one expects from a rib end. Their five or six sauces were all there for the sampling so that you can try each and figure out your favorite. They aren’t the best ends I’ve had, that honor still goes to the smaller restaurants in Kansas City, but it’s a place for decent barbecue that’s fairly inexpensive. It’s a decent combination for lunch or dinner.

Yikes strikes people. I’ve had bad BBQ before, but this place seems to be trying to get that title. It’s definitely Colorado BBQ, which is NOTBBQ if you travel and know what to expect. My sister-in-law ordered the rib tips and they were so old and dry and overcooked that I couldn’t tear through them with my hands, my knife or my teeth. We asked our waiter(who was very nice and accommodating) if this was normal and he said«Yes». But he did provide a comp’d app of burnt ends which were hot and tender. It’s a big place and has a lot of rug rats running around, even in the bar area, which is a Ft. Collins phenomenon which I’ll never understand. The prices are very very high. An entrée with a side or two will run you upwards of $ 18-$ 24 and that’s without a beer. Try to make it during HH, there’s a lot of beer and food on that menu.

I don’t know if it’s just me but this place was amazing. The food was tasty and very plentiful. The atmosphere was alive with the the perfect music to eat your feast too. Good food Good music good all around. Yumm!
