Don’t come here! We came here once before, the wait was long and food was so-so. We decided to try again, big mistake! Of all the dog friendly patios in Fort Collins, this is not one! The attitude that we were given by the host was inexcusable, bordering on hostile. Lesson learned, we won’t be doing this again!

If I could give 6 stars I would. The food is the best. The people really nice. The service is fast. And the place is so clean I wish I could have my own house in such shape. We ate here a couple of days ago, the yesterday went to silver grill, my former favorite place for breakfast in Fort Collins, and it really didn’t hold a candle to this breakfast. It seemed to have gone downhill, or maybe it was just the juxtaposition. Apple pancakes, apple waffle, crepes, corn beef hash. All great. Portions are big, so unless you are a huge eater, plan on sharing.

Oh my goodness!!! Amazing service, casual atmosphere and the food… Let me start by saying you need to plan on at least 10 minutes to look at the menu! So many wonderful choices! You could eat here every day for at least 3 months and not have the same thing twice, although I am sure I would want to repeat everything! Had pumpkin pancakes and they were great!!!

My kids and I love OPH, It’s a great place to eat at. The portions are huge and consistently delicious. I had the FCR on last visit and it was a tasty alternative to the Irish omelette I usually get. Servers are attentive in an overall comfortable atmosphere. Our only complaint is that they’re not open for dinner.

Been to a lot of Original Pancake House restaurants all around the US… this one was spot on with the great food & service. Omelets are delicious here… after the pancakes, of course :)

Went here yesterday for breakfast with my parents. I had the FTL I believe is what it was called. It was basically a smothered breakfast burrito. It was VERY good. The pancakes were great as well. My parents really liked the bacon and eggs. Everything was cooked perfect and service was great as well.

Service and above average. Huge selection of breakfast items. Prices reasonable for the amount of food you get.

We’re so glad there’s another great breakfast option on the south side of town! The food is delicious and the service good. The menu items are just a little different(higher end than an IHOP or Denny’s) and we appreciate their vast assortment of pancakes, although the regular pancakes are great too. The menu is reasonably priced as the portions are pretty large. The wait times are a bummer so take advantage of the no wait app, and check in before you go.

Typically love this chain, but this location is increasingly inconsistent and frankly, the servers/staff can be hit or miss. It is never fun feeling like you are inconveniencing the people that are there to help you. I assume the kids are not hired to hang out at the front desk and talk to each other?

My favorite place for breakfast in the Fort. Try the pecan caramel French toast, biscuits and gravy or the coconut pancakes. Yum.

Super sad to post this. We are regulars at OPH, my big family comes here at least once a week. Food is consistent, service is consistent and coffee is top notch. Not today. Super crappy service and management attempted to «make the situation better» but just irritated the situation more. I have never left a $ 0 tip before but I would have done a disservice to myself by leaving a tip. Nanette, please do better for your customers next time. 80% of business comes from repeat customers. This experience definitely left a sour taste in my mouth.

I have been here twice. The food is wonderful. First time just had eggs and sausage, which if course comes with pancakes. I can’t tell if its the pancakes that have a sweet flavor or if its the syrup that has a little vanilla in it. Whatever it is, it is tasty. The servers were awesome. They took turns checking on me and kept the delicious coffee coming. Today I had the Joe(it has a longer name but can’t remember it). It’s spanish onions, sausage, spinach and eggs all mixed together. I splurged and added chedder cheese. That was a good choice. This was delicious. Delicious is an understatement. Topped off with the amazing pancakes. Servers were different today and still top notch! Oh, did I say the coffee was good? It is!

This place was across the parking lot from the hotel my boyfriend and I were staying in, so we decided to give it a try one morning. Based on reviews, we were expecting a typical run-of-the-mill breakfast diner. The décor was actually quite nice – very light and sunny feeling – but that’s about as much good as I can say about this place. I ordered the chorizo omelette. What arrived can only be described as what looked like a dirty diaper covered in diarrhea. Seriously, this omelette was the size of a Nerf football, drowning in a chili-pork sauce. Not only is this omelette massive and could easily feed two adults, it comes with a side of THREEPANCAKES(who can eat that much?!), which I substituted for hash browns. Once I cut into the omelette, a river of melted pepperjack cheese starting pouring out of it. I live in the South and I’ve had my fair share of gluttonous food, but this was just far too much cheese to be edible. At the very least, the hash browns were actually pretty decent. Soft on the inside, and nice and crispy on the outside. My boyfriend ordered a plain Belgian waffle, and what he was served was a sad, floppy frisbee. I have never seen a more depressing-looking waffle in my life. He bit into it, and immediately discovered it was raw on the inside. The waitress had the kitchen make another waffle(which took about 15 minutes; waffles take about 4 minutes to cook). Once it arrived, I tried a small piece and was overwhelmed with the taste of dense cardboard; these waffles are MADEFROMMIX. I guess they expect most people will drown their pancakes/waffles in whipped cream and toppings, so they can’t taste how flat and bland their pancakes/waffles are. Someone from the kitchen came to our table to personally check in on us; he was actually quite polite and courteous(I think his name was Ken?), but we were already so discouraged by everything else, we already lost our appetite and just wanted to leave. How this is a successful chain of breakfast joints is beyond me. The portions are unrealistically massive, the pancakes/waffles are made from a bland mix, and the prices are just ridiculous for the quality of food served.

«OHOP,» as I call it, can seem like your local hole-in-the-wall breakfast place before you realize it’s part of a small chain that reaches more than half-way across the United States. This was my experience growing up with OHOP in Southern California. So, coming through Fort Collins on a coast-to-coast road trip, I had to try the local OHOP! I ordered the Corn Beef Hash with a side of Blueberry Pancakes(instead of the standard potato pancakes). The hash was delicious with its over-easy egg and potato, mixed with great corned brisket. The pancakes were the standard awesome sweet blueberry through-and-through, with the included warm blueberry compote making a world of contribution. The pancakes, my wife and I both noticed, are considerably smaller at this location than at others. Just something we noticed. A delicious breakfast. The coffee was standard, and on-point, refilled often. It’s a darker roast but mellow and drinkable, good paired with the sweets here. The Original Pancake House offers a slice of that dependable old-fashioned Americana in a commercial strip mall that looks like its in Scottsdale, Arizona, or one of the million other locations where this exact type of development exists. The food is great and the service is always top-notch. A cup of orange juice, some coffee, pancakes and eggs… «don’t bother me.»

First off, this place ain’t cheap. Dreams of a deluxe breakfast with egg and bacon along side the world’s best apple pancake were tempered with the reality of prices: $ 2 for an egg and $ 4.50 for bacon. Maybe I’m a little cheap, but I passed on the sides. Per the Apple Pancake — first off, it’s not a pancake at all. it’s a custard-like thing baked in the oven, about an inch and a half thick, and hotter than blazes(temp, not spice). I ejected my first bite just before my taste buds started to sizzle. After blowing on it, I returned said bite to mouth and… meh, the anticipation needle plummeted to zero as I realized the world’s best apple pancake wasn’t to be found here. A little more descriptive info would have been appreciated, starting with, «The pancake you’re about to order is not a pancake.» My wife’s Georgia Pecan Pancakes were indeed pancakes, and delightful. The hot toasted pecans, powdered sugar and hot tropical syrup were perfect! Wonderful in every way, including portion. Her half order consisted of 3 nice sized cakes. Coffee was good. Cream was real. The restaurant is light, open, airy and tastefully decorated. The feng shui was a bit off, with bathrooms right in the middle of the dining area. Our table for two was wedged between a coffee cart and a busy corner, leaving us feeling squeezed in. «Only two of y’all? OK, we’ve got a nice, tight little spot right here.» Service was great. Waitresses were attentive, prompt and cheerful. Bottom line, I’d go back to try the Dutch Baby or another variety of cake or waffle. But, given the prices, it’ll be a once-in-a-while special occasion breakfast excursion.

Love this place & so happy it opened! We were huge fans of the Original Pancake House in Boulder & were very upset when it closed down unexpectedly. We would literally drive an hour to get breakfast. Dedication right there! Try the dutch baby, chocolate chip pancakes, bacon(so thick & crispy), fresh squeezed orange juice, even the coffee is good! The dutch baby comes with powdered sugar, butter, & lemon. The inside of the pancake is so soft & moist & tasty with all of the fixins. Chocolate chip pancakes come with chocolate sauce in place of syrup & homemade whip cream!(Say WHAT?!) We continue to go back!
