The soup is so good. Love that the menu constantly changes, and has a good variety. The salads are good. I like that you can sample and they have an ingredient menu on hand for special dietary needs.

Yas Spoons! This place was so good. After a short hike at Lory Park, friends and I were craving a semi-healthy, fresh soup and salad style place. I’ll say they wanted Panera but I staunchly refused as we were on vacation! Who gets chain food on vacation? We were pleased to find this small place quite crowded for the Friday lunchtime rush, a good sign! I ordered the Chipotle chicken and a regular or farm salad? I can’t remember exactly what it was called. Anyway both were GREAT. The sandwich came on delicious buttery Foccacia, and the salad was fresh and delicious. For dessert, I had the molasses and ginger cookie which was HUGE, cheap, and so yummy. I also tried my friends’ clam chowder which I was expecting to taste canned(we are in landlocked CO here) but it was amazing and fresh. I would definitely recommend this place as a local alternative to that previously mentioned sandwich chain :)

Stopped by here with the family when we were running errands and wanted a quick lunch. It was an okay experience. Service was okay, the place was clean and the food was edible — nothing that we thought was so good that it made us want to rush back for another meal there.

I have never had a bad experience at Spoons, and I have been coming frequently for over four years now! The staff is always friendly. The salads are fresh, crisp, tasty, and pleasing to the eye. The soups are warm and delicious. I would recommend that the staff be more aware of the tastes of everything. I’ve had a couple of misguidance when choosing my soup. But, I have always loved my soup whether it be what I was looking for or not.

Love their Caesar salad and green chili cheddar soup(served every Thursday,) lines can sometimes get pretty long and service can be slow though.

Tried their Pacific Salad. It was prepared very well using good proportions and portions of ingredients. You could taste each ingredient in each bite of the salad.

The service is always great whenever I go. Even when they’re busy, they take their time to make sure it’s worth it. During the school year I get the student combo which is a salad, soup, bread, and a drink for about $ 7.50. The caesar salad is always consistently good. The have a good variety of soup and most of the time it’s good, but sometimes they’re off. For example, one time I got cream of mushroom soup and it was absolutely delicious. A month later I got the cream of mushroom soup and it didn’t taste much like anything and was really disappointed in that. Other than that, Spoons is always a good place when you’re on the go and just need something warm to fill you up especially during the winter months.

One of our favorite places in Fort Collins. Salads are fresh and each one SO delicious, and yummy soups that change each day. Really nice staff as well. Great alternative to fast food or heavy restaurant food!

Great option for healthy fast food, apparently locally sourced. Variety of soups offered each day to fit different dietary needs.

Not many establishments can pull off the soup/salad combo and run an entire operation, at least at a local level. But I would dare to say that Spoons has it down to a science. The variety lends itself to customers finding a soup for everyone, and the phenomenal salad selection and ingredients provide some good roughage after you chug down liquid cream(i.e. chowders and the like). Chicken and roasted veggie held its own as one of my favorite rustic soups around, with its chunks of poultry, fresh vegetable medley, and homemade stock. As well, the farmer’s salad with blue cheese and tomato provided some good oomph. The best part about Spoons, aside from the affordability: they still have soup at 6PM! Many restaurants run out of gas(or ingredients, rather) mid-day and have to give you the dreaded«no soup for you.» Or maybe just a «sorry; we have run out.»

Huge variety! Took me awhile to decide. These guys look for local produce and high quality. I got the combo: turkey club and southwestern tortilla chicken soup. Focaccia bread was great. Good portion on the half sandwich, and the soup was well done as well. So many soups. The teas they have are unique and refreshing – nothing overly sweet, thank goodness. Gotta come back and try more combos…

I’m normally not the type to write reviews, but this place is outstanding. My girlfriend and I ordered the turkey gyro, the black wan soup, the chicken basil mozzarella soup, and the apple poppy salad, and everything was phenomenal. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, with no exceptions. The service was also exceptional. When I called, I was politely informed that they would be closing in 30 minutes. Even still, they were willing to honor a last minute to-go order, which was ready by the time I arrived 10 minutes later, and they were very friendly and attentive, even though they were just about to close up shop. On top of that, it’s not even that expensive! I will be back.

I love their bread! And their salads are fantastic. But be careful around lunch time they can get very busy and sometimes mix up orders. But the staff are all very friendly.

I ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad. The dressing tasted like a bottle of French dressing that was white. sort of a cross between is it ok to eat or expired. .my boyfriend got a Ruben there were like 2 pieces of meat. I am really not sure how you mess up a caesar but they did. I suppose it is like a run of the mill food chain place. I found it very bad. I would rather eat a bag salad.

I love spoons. It’s a healthy choice for a quick lunch meal. I always go for the combo my husband loves it as well. Great soup variety there is always something you will like. Also like the sandwiches and flatbreads. One time I went home and I realized they forgot one of the sandwiches. I was upset and went back. Wasn’t happy about that it wasn’t organized that it still would come and they heated it in a microwave for me to pick it up again. But that was one mistake and doesn’t stop me from going here. Fair price friendly staff. But now I always check if I have everything in my bags.

I’ve been to Spoons several times and have never been disappointed. I try something different every time(I always get soup, so I can’t say anything about the salads or sandwiches). The prices are good, and I like that they’ll let you try as many as you want before deciding what to order. They also offer foccacia bread, which I would recommend if you like to dip things in your soup. They can get pretty busy around lunch time, so be prepared for a line, especially on cold or rainy days.

If your a bit under the weather, and/or want something light and healthy, Spoons is the place to go! They always have new and interesting soups, salads, and sandwiches!!! My favorite soups are the Potato Cream Cheese Soup and the 90 Shilling Green Chilli Soup! Both are pretty awesome!!! As for the salads, everything is fairly fresh and tasty! The sandwiches are alright, I think the best part is the bread that they make! The service is usually pretty good, usually high school and/or college students, they do a good job. Another cool thing about this place is that it is local and the owner donates a lot to the community, which is pretty cool!

I love Spoons! My favorite salad is the apple poppy seed one, and I love the soups. I’ve also tried their homemade apple crisp, and a few of their sandwiches. Last night I had the creamy mushroom and leek, I’ve also tried their tomato basil, creamy chicken and mushroom, and other ones that I can’t remember at the moment. I like that the menu changes and that everything is made fresh.

Good selection between sandwiches and soups. However, the soup was served cold. Pretty unappetizing. Appears to be frequented by young families with small children. Noise is loud. The restrooms are located in another building and the walk is unnerving. You must be given a code to enter the rest rooms. Consider other options first.

On my drive from Denver to Laramie I thought to stop in Fort Collins for a healthy lunch. Unilocal highly recommended SS&S so out of the way I went to experience the soups and salads of this highly raved about hole in the wall. To my disappointment a Panera by any other name is STILL a Panera. All the salad options are super unhealthy, fatty, creamy, greasy, cheesy, sugary– might as well get a slice of pizza or a burger! The soups are bland– reminded me of the time I spent in a hospital. 2 stars because the place is clean, the service was fast and the price was affordable. Quality, Options(as far as salad ingredients) and Flavor are what is lacking. I probably will never eat here again.
