I had been once before, and brought in several friends who were visiting from out of town to show them the best Foco has to offer. Tried many drinks and got a cheese board. They were completely blown away, as was I. Best bar ever

Great service. Great charcuterie. The ambiance was cool and swanky. I also think that the ambiance was slightly forced but it worked, and the dim lighting and décor really was appealing. Our cocktails were tasty and not overpriced. Jambon from Spain – don’t skip it! Also their gherkin pickles were delish! Overall this place was fantastic.

I came here for the first time in MONTHS for a first date and wow. They upgraded. They added LED lights on the stairways, the bathrooms are nicer(actually never used them before but they are nice) and it was amazing the crowd of people they attract now. No ones yelling, bumping into you as you walk around, no one is black out drunk, just chilling enjoying a summer weekend in Fort Collins. Everyone was having a good time, even the bartenders.

Social is the timeless option for a late night out with friends in FoCo. It’s not a boozing bar, it’s a 1920s speakeasy, and everything from the clientele to the service fits right into that style. It’s a bit pricy, sure, but in general the price you pay is the quality you get. They excel in the mixed drinks, both their own concoctions and the historical recipes, you really can’t go wrong. The food is a smidge more hit or miss, but if you stick to the more unusual menu items you won’t be disappointed there either — highly recommend the Oak Board for a first time savory taste, and for the sweet-tooth the lemon posset(similar to a panna cotta) is fantastic. Service has always been excellent and tonight was no exception — and it being my birthday today it was fun to have our server come back to the table with a lovely birthday card signed by the staff — and a coupon for a free drink next time. Smooth, Social, smooth.

This bar is seriously straight off the set of a movie! Super classy, décor is beautiful! Dark wood, leather, chandeliers, artwork, mirrors, beautiful bar… I could go on and on. Great atmosphere, no shenanigans because of the way they seat people. If there is no table available, you have to wait to go inside. The wait is never that long, but it is worth any wait. If it’s cold out they typically serve warm non-alcoholic beverages while you wait. The food is AMAZING… Try anything and you’ll be very pleased. I’ve personally tried several of the charcuterie boards, perogies and deviled eggs, all great choices! You MUST try the Jar of Cookies. Yes, it is literally a jar of fresh baked, soft, warm cookies. To. Die. For. They take pride in making their drinks to perfection. They have so many great options and old school style drinks. I typically order a bottle of wine. They are SO knowledgable about the wines they carry. It’s impressive! I’ve never been disappointed in a bottle I’ve ordered and I’m very particular. Every server and bartender that works there is fun, professional, knowledgable and provides top notch customer service! Watching the bartenders create the drinks is like watching an artist paint a masterpiece! That might sound corny, but seriously it’s entertaining. My favorite bartender is Kai. He is such a good time and AWESOME.

Came here on a saturday night and it was AWESOME. The whole experience really starts from getting your id checked, there is a old school clock and a small sign that says Social, gives a mysterious vibe. You walk down a flight of stairs to underground and it opens up into a huge place. Has a 1920’s speakeasy feel. We sat right at the bar and had wonderful service. Each cocktail is made with precision to detail. They have this machine that stirs the drinks for them! It was dark enough to make it romantic, but not too dark where you cant see the menu. Recommend the bourbon earl gray drink where they set the earl gray on fire to keep the bourbon a really smokey flavor. I want to come back and have a charcuterie plate!

I actually haven’t tried the food yet but I was ultra impressed with the service over the phone today! You went out of your way to help me and it is much appreciated. I will refer business your way as I have friends and family a couple miles down the road from you. Thanks!

I recently donned here and am so impressed. Our waiter Damien was awesome, he was very knowledgable with the drinks they served and was very professional. Try the Blistered Shishito Peppers they are amazing. This is a dinning experience you won’t regret.

I love the environment here(though it feels borderline pretentious when paired with the service). This is what deters me from giving it only one star. I’ve had exactly two experiences here. During my first visit, the service was mediocre. Both times I’ve visited, it’s been early evening and absolutely DEAD. As in, we were basically the only people there. The place is usually staffed appropriately, but despite this fact, the servers never seem to want to pay much attention. This latest visit, though — I’d give it one star. There were seven in my party and we all wanted food and drinks, but some were still deciding on food when she came to take our drink order. She hardly made eye contact and kept rushing away in the middle of our order. She ended up having to take our food order in three separate visits to our table! Not because we weren’t ready, but because she wasn’t going around the table in the typical fashion — it’s as if she would only take your order if you specifically asked her … It was the most bizarre thing I’ve ever experienced. Having been a server at many places over the years, I can say I was genuinely perplexed. Where was she running off to in the middle of our orders? Anyhow, despite all that, we all got our food and drinks. It was a nice environment and we did have one other woman visit our table to bring out some of the food(someone said she was the owner?). Regardless, she was very pleasant. :) I wish the other staff were as diligent and friendly. With so many other options in the vicinity with better service, fine drinks and a good atmosphere, I maintain that the only time I’ll come here is when my colleagues drag me out because despite my experiences, everyone LOVES this place.

I just come across this place on Twitter because New Belgium brewery had a Negroni beer at this restaurant and wanted to try it because it was very limited and since I was in Ft Collins for vacation I decided to find this place… LOVELOVELOVED it. It’s my favorite restaurant on this trip. Would definitely return next time I’m in the area!

I’m giving this a two… the staff is friendly as required for employment, otherwise if you go in there alone, this place would definitely be called antisocial. I sat at the bar midweek, ordered two hors d’oeuvres and a drink. I have been to bars before and sat at the bar and the bartender, no matter how busy, would still manage to come over and have a conversation with me. This place was full of staff yet no one did anything outside of taking my order, asking how the food was, and making sure I always had drink. They did plenty of talking amongst themselves though. I had the salmon pâté which was too tart and salty.(The next day after being refrigerated, I managed to eat it with avocado on top to cut the salty down) And the pierogi… dont even get me started. The pierogi were microwaved the only saving grace here was the fact that they added some sour cream and some caramelized onions with it and I was starving, otherwise I’ve had better for sure and this is nothing like grandma would make. I’m beginning to think some of the reviews were way over the top and very generous. The atmosphere was dark and much like the 50s or 60s as described. But overall disappointed at this entire experience, I waited a couple of trips coming to Colorado to try this specific bar and it did not live up to the reviews. My drink was good, but thats to be expected its a bar.

I’ve been an aficionado of great cocktails with great experiences for a while now, and what Social delivers is on par with, and often better than some of the very best cocktail bars in America. Denver has nothing on this place. This is a truly unique Fort Collins establishment that delivers outstanding drinks, attentive and knowledgeable service, in a comfortable and classy ambiance. The cocktails are always outstanding, but the outstanding wines keep me excited. Food is limited, but worth it. This is the sort of place that makes me glad to live in Fort Collins.

DOWNSTAIRS below the street level at the clock. Sorry, this is important since we walked around the entire block before finding… duh! OMG this place if fun. It is set up like a 1920’s speakeasy. Nothin’ but cocktails and whiskey for me and they were all great. Social’s staff was the best, funny, helpful, and patient(when I was lost). We ordered a bunch of apps and made dinner out of it. They were all great. The atmosphere was a dark, quiet, and relaxed. Good spot for a date.

Look for the big clock street light, and then go down the stairs you won’t be disappointed!!! This place is awesome, an absolute local and visitor«must check out.» I’m in town visiting, love to go out and explore new cities but don’t necessarily want to deal with the younger college scene. It’s a quieter, relaxed, classy place but not overly snobby either. More of a late 20’s early 30s and up crowd. Some folks all dressed up, some in nice jeans and t shirts and then everything between. Social is kind of hidden, and underground. On the weekends expect a line. Why a line? It’s actually awesome — they seat only — no standing by the bar, or anywhere. Once you go down the stairs and into social you step back in time and enter an oasis of amazing drinks, classy but fun crowd and a speak easy atmosphere. The drinks are pricey $ 8−14+ each but they are packed with liquor and taste. Absolutely worth every penny. I couldn’t make up my mind, told my bartender what I liked and he made me a kick ass drink two nights in a row now. I had the«oak board» last night, thinking it was going to be a good munchie tray and small. It was huge, and sooooo delicious. You must check this place out.

4.5 Stars. But i guess i can round up. We went here last week for my gf birthday because i was in town visiting the old stomping grounds. A bunch of our friends were talking this place up so we decided to stop by and get some early drinks. They have a happy hour from 4−6pm so we got some drinks. I got a Manhattan which was excellent. I also got another whiskey drink that i don’t exactly remember the name of, but it was also great, and $ 5 to boot. Super cheap drinks over in Fort Collins is a norm… something I’ve forgotten about since moving back to NYC! Our server was SO nice, and so attentive. Like overly nice. In fact… i mentioned to her that it was my gf birthday and she said«ohhh Happy Birthday!» Then she left and came back a few min later with what i thought was a birthday card. She hands it to my gf. She opens the envelope(that says happy birthday on it) and inside is a coupon for one free cocktail to use within the next month. Not to mention it says Happy Birthday and was signed by the entire staff! Soooo nice. The ambiance is very classy. Speakeasy feel and it’s downstairs so it’s a bit darker all of the time for that added feel of seclusion. We sat in the back behind a divide thing that made us feel like vip. Everything about this place is fantastic. They also have happy hour food but we never got any. I guess I’ll have to go back… maybe you should join me?

Fabulous. The atmosphere. The service. The food. The drinks. All of it. Date night with friends… So glad we returned to Social. It’s a tad loud, but not so much you have to shout to be heard. Lively, not obnoxious. Our server, Molly, was fantastic. Attentive, helpful(she hooked me up with an awesome new drink I’m sure to order again!), fun, with just the right amount of sass! Other than a night out with good company, our objective was interesting and flavorful drinks with good food to go along with it. Molly recommended the off-menu«Daisy Age» to me and it was delightful & refreshing. It has Gin and ginger beer I believe… The charcuterie platter had wonderful nibbles on it: 3 cheeses, nuts, lavender honey, salami & prosciutto, thin slices of bread and crackers… Yum! This was basically our dinner and that worked great for us. Light but a nice accompaniment to our beverages. This is a casual, yet classy joint!

I’d give this place 10 stars if possible. While the food menu is somewhat limited, each item we tried was well prepared and tasty! The deviled eggs were particularly good. The real deal here are the cocktails. On our visit there were two professionals behind the bar… And their skills were superb. Negroni’s were awesome with great care taken to ensure ‘properness’. :-). The ambiance is swank. Staff was attentive but not fussy. The entire experience was awesome.

I’m not from Ft. Collins, but when visiting for the day, our friends INSISTED that this was the place to go for Happy Hour. They were correct! Not only does Social offer an environment that’s totally different than most places around, its upscale drinks and food are truly remarkable and worth a trip! Food: We stopped in for happy hour and didn’t try much of the menu, which was a little limited. We ended up getting a dish of olives(with the pit) and BOY, they were good. We ended up fighting over the last one! If you’re not hungry for much and are just going to enjoy cocktails, the olives make a perfect pairing. Drinks: Wow, their drinks are incredible ANDSTRONG! I enjoyed a Lavender Sour and it was very good. The flavor of the lavender and vodka mixed very well together. I enjoyed that I could get this expensive cocktail for a low price at happy hour! I also tried their SSBS and Whiskey Sour which were both very good. Atmosphere: One-of-a-kind. You feel like you’re in an old-school, upscale, underground pub. It’s like the who’s-who place that everyone talks about. It’s very, very classy, romantic, and elegant with the plush walls, dim lights and eclectic décor. I’ve never experienced anything like it. Service: So fast, very knowledgeable, and very professional. They treat you right. Happy Hour Offerings: Daily food & drink happy hour as well as daily rotating specials. This is the place for happy hour! Healthy Hack: n/a Tips: Sit around the bar for constant entertainment as the bartenders make fancy drinks!

I was pretty impressed by Social before I even went, reading the reviews online. I think it consistently had the most positive reviews. I went on my birthday, earlier(7:30ish), on a Tuesday. Tuesday is their all night«Social Hour» where they have a happy hour drink and food menu. We had the Smoked Salmon Pâté! It was really good and they even brought out extra pieces of toast. Great presentation as well. I tried the Cold Blooded and Whiskey Smash off the Social Hour menu. The Cold Blooded was more sweet than I expected from a drink that had Cognac, but still amazingly good. The Whiskey Smash became our tables’ most ordered drink. A delicious sip-able drink. The atmosphere in there is really neat too. Intimate space. Bartenders who are crafty mixologists. High top tables. Booths. Large bar with wrap around seating. Swanky. Free WiFi(something like Portal to the Outside World).
