Staff was JOHNNY on the spot with service, new dishes, refills and everything else. Courteous to boot, and very accommodating. Pretty much some of the best service in town, and the food is really fantastic too!

Fabulous. Absolutely fabulous. Ace Gillett’s Lounge is everything I’ve ever wanted to experience. Walking down the stairs outside from the street and reading the marquee felt like a throwback to an era I wish I could have lived in. I sat at the bar, where I was served the most elegant martini by the bartender, Ray. He was very attentive to not only me, but all of his customers. I appreciated the attire of the employees: black, sophisticated, suiting to the atmosphere. The jazz band was exquisite– incredibly talented and passionate about the music. Five stars for making my night worth the hour and a half drive. I was just a single woman in need of a martini and some jazz, and I was taken to an entire new world at Ace’s. Thank you, oh, so very much.

The bartender Ray is one of the reasons to go to Ace Gillette’s. He makes an amazing martini, aviations and any other cocktail you can think of. The food is delicious and the music is fun. I especially like the flat breads(gluten free available) and the sliders are delicious. If you are staying at the Armstrong it is right downstairs and a great place to begin or end your evening!

This is defiantly my favorite jazz and cocktail bar in all of Fort Collins. They provide great drinks, a fantastic atmosphere, and the staff is extremely friendly. I would have to say that they make the best Caribbean coffee and rum & coke in all of Northern Colorado. I highly recommend checking it out !!

Had dinner here with my sister and niece. Crab mac cheese was delicious. Ray is a great bartender and makes the best drinks. I’ll be back next time I’m in Colorado.

Cute little life music place. My Roommate’s mom is in town and we went out for dinner and drinks. I have not been here before but she has and she took us out. its located right next to the Armstrong hotel in old town and has a downstairs entrance. kind of hidden and looked a little sketchy. but walking in i really was surprised how nice this place was. It is a mixed crowd of all ages. the food is great and has perfect portions(the portions that you should be eating ;)) I had the duck and as a desert the chocolate soufflé. the only thing i had to say about it was that it was burned… and i don’t think it is supposed to be burned on top :(the only disappointing thing though the duck was great. the sliders were great too i did share a bite with my roommate. I drank a Kentucky mule with bourbon instead of vodka garnished with mint i think it was quite good. my roommate’s mom has a finer taste in drinks and ordered some drinks i never heard about and they did an excellent job she said. will come here again for the drinks and lovely jazz live music!

Last night at Ace’s, we had impeccable service and quality as usual. This review is more an affirmation and recommendation to all that enjoy quality and a mature/classy ambiance. Ray and Jobeth behind the bar make a knockout combination and have to be two of the best mixologists in town. From the doorman to the servers, always a wonderful experience. Of course the music is always on par. Our favorite stop in Fort Collins for an evening with friends.

Went in the early evening on a weeknight before music had started. Loved talking with the bartender(guy with dark hair/pony tail); he was very friendly and informative. Our drinks were beautiful and well made. We will definitely be back for more cocktails and to try the food!

If you’re looking for an amazing bartender to take you down a cocktail journey, this is one place to go. Order one drink, and Ray’ll take care of the rest. Food here is pretty good too.

Best kept secret in town. Ray has the best rapport with customers of any bar/restaurant I’ver ever experienced since the Underground in Lincoln, NE.

Fabulous craft cocktails! This might be the greatest bartender photo of all time… zoom in and see for yourself. What a fun and welcoming crowd.

Enjoyed beating the rush before the music by arriving just before 7:00. Fun to share tapas-our favorites were prosciutto wrapped dates, shrimp ceviche, ahi roll, spinach salad and lobster tacos. Soho martinis were great but sent back the pear one because it was too sweet. Jazz music started at 8:00 and was a nice finale.

If you find yourself in downtown Fort Collins, and want good drinks & selection of tasty menu items minus the rowdy college/drunken young adult crowd, come here. The live music provides a good vibe, the servers are helpful and friendly, and the food is consistently good. The only downside is the noise level. Depending on the night, my throat can hurt after trying to carry on a conversation while competing with the music and other diners. Durning my last visit we had the brownie dessert which had a phyllo dough wrapping. Sounded strange, but it tasted quite good. I also had a tootsie roll martini. Great drink with interesting flavor.

It’s really disappointing when world class musicians play here and the crowd is so f-cking loud that you can’t here them. They seriously need to enforce some sort of concert etiquette when they bring in musicians. At least the cocktails, food, and service are still great.

Interesting atmosphere. Dark, intimate booths, strong drinks, and tapas. I imagine this would make a great date spot.

This was my first visit to Ace Gillett’s, and I had a wonderful experience. I went in for the dinner, rather than the drinks. I had the Black Angus Flatiron Steak. The portion seemed a bit small for the price, but the steak was prepared to perfection and presented well. The flavor was out of this world, one of the best flatiron steaks I have had. There was no jazz band playing tonight. There weren’t many people in the restaurant at all tonight. Tuesday seems to be a low attendance night, which may account for no band tonight.

Where do I start? I suppose with the cocktails. The New Old Fashioned is simply delicious. It’s sharp, wholesome and refreshing without the standard bite of a standard old fashioned. My wife, who is pregnant, had a tasty blueberry mocktail. From there we loved the hummus(the pitas were scrumptious), the wagyu sliders(best I’ve ever had — hands down) and the pork skewers(totally awesome pork belly on a stick). Naturally, the service was impeccable. How this place was not packed every night is Fort Collins mistake. Or blessing. It’s 6 stars, easy. Go now.

Ace Gillett’s makes some great cocktails. They have a creative menu, but the bartenders are also willing to get creative if you tell them what kind of drink you’re in the mood for. The live music is a ton of fun. If you are going with a group(and plan on talking to them) sit closest to the entrance in one of the booths. I’ve found it’s the best chance to getting to hear everyone at your table. This place could seem totally pretentious but it isn’t. Parking is the usual Old Town hot mess, but it’s worth it!
