The only thing wrong with this place is it a little dark at night I don’t know why the food was excellent we had a good time they need to turn the lights up a little bit more. Everybody left happy it was my mother’s 95th birthday

A local recommended it and it was all that she said. We went to earlybird special and split it. Wonderful

Reading reviews on Unilocal can help but also scare you! Coming here I was a bit scared but took the chance and I am glad that I did. I had made reservations which I am glad I did because they were turning people away if you didn’t have a reservation. Reservation was for 7, we were taken to our table at 7:05! Not bad for being very busy. We did sit at our table about 10 minutes before anyone greeted us, but from what it sounded like they were short staffed and a lot busier than normal. Once we had a server come and help the experience just got better and better. We started with an appetizer which was Bay Shrimp and Cream Cheese won tons! There was 7 won tons that were good size and tasted great. We then decided to split a cesar salad, which was HUGE. If I would have known it was that big I would have passed. It tasted great, just a lot of food before the main course! Dinner then came. Our group ordered: Scallops which came with asparagus and a fried potato cake. Normally at a nice restaurant you get about 4 – 5 scallops and then leave hungry. This place there was 7 good size scallops! They had great flavor and tasted amazing. Halibut which came with jasmine rice and wok vegetables(I subbed Asparagus for the wok vegetables) The halibut came with a Beurre Blanc sauce. Good size piece of fish on the plate as well. We brought our own bottle of wine and there was a $ 12 corkage fee which is very reasonable. Overall a great place with good prices. I’m sure it is a great location at sunset time with the harbor there as well.

My mom and I stopped by for lunch a couple of days ago for the first. time since this place reopened with their new name and were thrilled we did. When you walk in – the atmosphere is wonderful. There are several levels of seating all with a superb view out the giant windows facing the ocean and cliffs. Watching the boats go in and out the harbor is a bonus treat. We sat on the lower level up against the windows and enjoyed our yummy lunch. The clam chowder was thick and creamy, perfectly flavorful and absolutely delicious. The fish and chips was fab. Large pieces of fish were crispy on the outside and the homemade tartar sauce was divine. The fries are skinny and crispy… our favorite kind! We will be back again soon. Highly recommended… who knows what is wrong with some people who gave crap reviews. We loved it!

Excellent fish and chips! The clam chowder was superb! We’ll definitely come again. The other items on the menu looked good…

Great food and great service. Would highly recommend! We found this place for lunch when all the other restaurants were closed. It was a little expensive but the view and food was worth it. When we are back in town this would be a must stop.

We ate lunch there on a very rainy day. The staff was attentive while I waited 45 minutes for my friend to arrive. My meal was the fish and chips. Fries were obviously from frozen, but good flavor. The fish was fried to almost black, and I sent it back. Next try was underdone. So I passed on the meal. My friend had the fish tacos which he liked, but the rice and beans(he had them Mexican style) were bland. I’ll try it again, but it wasn’t wonderful enough to look forward to.

Poor service– called ahead for a reservation for a seat near the window. When we waited 20 minutes before they had a seat for us. Then waited another 10 min at the table before they would open the bottle of wine we brought with us or provide any water. There were three of us and we ordered the Cioppino, fish tacos and the cod. The Cioppino was excellent the others were just ok. The water glasses were never refilled although we asked several times. We finally asked the manager for some water. BTW it was not very busy. Good ambiance and a nice view.

Not at all what I would have expected on Thanksgiving… especially! Point Noyo was recommend to our family by a nearby hotel that we made arrangements for far in advance. When I phoned to make our reservation for 10 I informed the staff that there would be three high chairs needed and that we would also have a family members with a wheelchair with us. The staff at Point Noyo was friendly over the phone and said that our accommodation needs would be no problem. In fact, they had experience in providing seating for folks with with disabilities and would keep us on the second level next to the window. Hearing that response made me feel comfortable with our reservation. The restaurant was not prepared for us when we arrived on Thanksgiving evening. They had not setup our table and acted as though they didn’t know how to handle a group with our dynamics needs when we they saw us. It took about 10 minutes for the staff to finally figure out where to place us, which was not by the window as mentioned when I made the reservations. From there the service was slow, unfriendly and not thanksgiving like at all! In fact, we were told that the restaurant was«receiving a number of complaints» about our son being too loud and that we needed to do something about it. We immediately left out of embarrassment, but we’re happy in doing so because the food was nothing special and the portions were so large they resembled piled up wet dog food. Good luck to the next family that enters with a wheelchair user and toddler.

This review is actually for a visit the first week they opened… although the food was decent, the service friendly but disoriented… and the prices are not competitive at all… the restaurant is beautiful and offers a great coastal view! Maybe I’ll sell a kidney and go back after they’ve had a chance to get it straightened out.

Million Dollar property with either Bush league ownership or management or kitchen staff. When you have to offer your Clam Chowder with smoked bacon then your admitting you can’t make soup. Their Chowder was just flavored Flour, Cream and salt. When you ask whether their Alfredo is made from scratch or from a jar and they say«it’s from a JAR… lol Bartender was a sweet girl did a nice job. But other than her this was a Waste!

Just ate here last night… I don’t know what everyone below is talking about. I ordered Calamari to start… it was hot, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside… the tartar sauce was obviously handmade and really good… my wife had a cup of clam chowder and said it was delicious. we both ordered a Caesar salad which was served cold, fresh, with a generous amount of freshly grated parmesan cheese and an anchovy on top. My wife ordered the scallops, and I had the Halibut… both were EXCELLANT and the presentation and flavors were worthy of anything you would find in the finest of Napa valley establishments… finally we both ordered dessert she had bananas foster I the lemon reloude… again EXCELLENT! The price was what you should expect to pay at a first class establishment… if you have a problem with that, they are building a new taco bell down the road, perhaps you would be better off there… the staff was not only friendly and efficient, but everyone there really made us feel welcome… we would definitely return… I’m not a snob… the bar had a blue collar feel to it but the dining area had a definite fine dining appeal… love the all world welcome to this place! Thank you for a great anniversary dinner…

My boyfriend and I stayed at the coast last night and decided to stop at the restaurant that was formerly the Cliff House. We were absolutely stoked about our meal! I ordered the gnocchi(which they had on the menu for the Cliff House) and my boyfriend got the filet minon with mashed potatoes. We recieved the most stellar meal we had together yet in 2 years! This far surpassed our last experience at the Cliff House just a year ago! The steak was the best I’ve had in my entire life and the gnocchi were pillows of delight amongst the best seasoned sauce. Great service, attentive and friendly! Will DEFINITELY be dining here again!

I like this place. Second time in a year, and have liked it both times. The specials are a little on the expensive side; however, when the specials are prime rib and cioppino that are both wonderful, I will be back. They have a good bartender and a friendly and helpful wait staff. Try this place, they do a good job.

Worst meal we have had in a very long time — we had to send the rock cod back. It smelled bad and had a horrible tasting(and looking) sauce all over it. We split the penne pasta and it was really dull. Hoping they can get their act together — the location is stunning

With all the work they did(at least what we saw) we expected big changes. While the wait staff and host were excellent, the price tags on the meals were not. The less expensive things were all fried. And no dumbwaiter. The staff carry the dirty dishes up by hand. Atmosphere warehouse ish. You can hear the noise of the bar/tv and the mustached man pacing was just weird. Clam chowder. Loaded with clams, but had a different taste. $ 10 bowl French onion soup. Way too sweet, cook needs soup lessons. $ 9 bowl. Warm salad, $ 10. Too much dressing, tasted ok. Can’t muck up salad. Again, another restaurant in Fort Bragg out priced for the locals.

When I arrived at the restaurant with significant other in tow, we were seated quickly at a table with an unobstructed view of a RV park. Our waiter was genial though confused when my SO ordered a Brother Thelonius(beer on their menu from the local brewery) and did not mention any of the specials for the restaurant that night(I found out what they were on a whiteboard as I was leaving). The bread was warm and tough, as though it had been microwaved too long. As starters, we ordered 10 oysters and escargots. The oysters had bits of shell on them and had the texture of oysters that had been sitting around for a few days and beginning to verge on spoiling. The escargot was covered in bread crumbs, bacon and a cream sauce, which was unfortunate because the SO does not like cream sauce. We ordered the house salad and that was alright. Lettuce was crisp, cherry tomatoes were sweet, cucumbers were cool. For the most part unremarkable. For entrées, we had scallops and the duckling. The scallops and accompanying vegetables were completely drenched in a white butter sauce, though the scallops were cooked well. The duckling my SO ordered was dry and overcooked. With such a display of their cooking, we skipped out on their desserts. Overall, their cooking relied entirely too much on butter, bacon, and cheese to impart flavor to the food. It was mediocre food and uninspired. If I ever go back, I would stick to the beverage menu and avoid anything that requires cooking or preparation.

Excellent experience and excellent food! Understanding that this restaurant just opened, the only service issue that needs work was the drink service. The Cioppino and Lobster Thermador were spectacular! We will absolutely be back again.
