Slowest pizza delivery EVER! Took almost 1.5 hours from order submission to door bell ringing… AND on top of it, the driver initially brought the wrong order. Thank goodness he had the right order in his car. Pizza was already getting cold. With so many pizza choices in the area, this Papa John’s is at the bottom of my list. This franchise looks like they don’t want to be in business.

Ordered pizza well done, it came undercooked. Could see the yellow buttery tint to the crust. Called back and they could care less — defended themselves instead of apologizing. We won’t order again — see the other reviews for this place not just us.

Hit or miss. Sometimes ordering & delivery are super smooth but other times it’s pretty crummy. For example tonight we had some difficulty with the online ordering. I called to confirm the order & then got an email saying the estimated delivery time. Once that time rolled around we got a call saying the oven was broken and no pizza. Irritating to find that out a hour after they confirm your order.

Surprised on the negative reviews. We have ordered several times from this location and good service, on time delivery and good pizzas.

I’ve ordered from this branch location three times. First time we ordered, they said the pizza would be ready in an hour. Hour and a half rolls goes by and no pizza. I call, they seem irritated with us, and they say it’s going to be another hour… Took 2.5 hours to get a pizza. The second time I ordered, I placed a pickup order online and everything went smoothly. Very happy. The third time I attempted to order, we call at 9:30pm on a Friday to place a carryout order. The phone rang for quite awhile, guy picks up and blatantly states that they’re closed… Upon looking online, it seems like they close for carry out at 9:40pm — kinda weird. The worker didn’t explain that they would deliver later, just said nope. we’re closed.

I made an online order for delivery at 11pm. I guess that was too close to their 11:30pm closing time because the pizza that was delivered was UNDERCOOKED. I am talking doughy raw awfulness. It was complete inedible! This is the last time I’ll order from Papa John’s. You are better off just ordering from the Slice Factory!

Wish I could leave 0 stars. Customer service is awful. I got pretty rude after waiting over 90 minutes for a pizza that never showed and was then explained how it’s my fault because I did not specifically instruct them to ring the bell or nock on the door. Whatever happened to «We are sorry for your inconvenience. What can we do to deliver the quality agreed on? Your patronage is important to us.» I kept giving this place a try because they are so close and used them for my work events to support local. They consistently disappoint. I’m done. Order at your own risk. my neighbors said the last time they got their pizza, it was if they had dropped it first. I just called river pizza and they are on the way. No more corporate for me. So much for Papa’s training program for quality and customer service.

Every time I order pizza from this location it is always as I ordered it, on time and I have yet to have any hassle with anything at this establishment. Nice staff, and good location. This is the Papa John’s I go to. As a tip from a customer– don’t order Super Bowl Sunday or Halloween, unless you place your order ahead of time, in which you can do so a couple weeks in advance to ensure your pizza arrives in a timely manner.

For all the negative reviews here, I was pleasantly surprised. They were reasonably professional on the phone, delivered the pizza quickly, and made a good pizza. Not gourmet, but then, that’s not thier business. If you order from Papa John’s, you should expect a Papa John’s pizza. Good, simple, … and good. And this, they delivered in a timely fashion.

I can’t comment on the pizza because I wasn’t able to eat it. Not only did the delivery order show up an hour and a half after placing the order, but apparently there was an error with the credit card payment on the online order so we were told to pay cash when the driver showed up. However, we did not have any cash on us, hence the credit card payment. Upon calling the manager to ask to run the card over the phone, we were told once an order is set to cash no other payment can be accepted. So I could not get my order. Meanwhile, I’m at home with an injury and am unable to leave the apartment. I have no food in the apartment & because the delivery took so long, all other delivery options are closed at this hour. So a big thank you to Papa Johns from my growling stomach. Way to put customers first!

The pizza here isn’t unlike any other pizza Papa John’s restaurant. For what it used to be, it wasn’t bad. And when I say that, I mean that when I was a college student, i could afford this pizza. Which is to say, the pizza was cheap. However, me and my girl usually order Lou Malnati’s or Salernos, pretty much anywhere that offers quality pizza, even if it means paying a little more. We were both craving pizza from our college days, so we ordered Papa Johns. We got a little less than what we usually get at Lou’s, but please tell me why it cost more from Papa Johns? This place does not offer better pizza or better ingredients, even though they may advertise otherwise. My main point, when they knew what their pizza was and had a price tag representing that, it was good. I didn’t mind ordering. But when I work hard and choose to spend my money on dinner and spend just as much here as a quality Chicago pizza establishment, something is wrong. They need to go back to offering cheap pizza, because that’s what it is. Expensive Pizza, Cheap Ingredients: Papa Johns.

I’ve had a great experience ordering from this papa johns. The people are friendly and the quality of the pizza has been consistent. Maybe I’m just partial to papa john’s :-o

Updating my review since now I have used the delivery service a bunch of times and it has always been reliable. It usually takes about an hour from submitting an order to it showing up at my door(in Oak Park). They mixed up our pizza one time — offered to make and deliver a new one for free. Instead we just opted to get a free pizza the next time. Honestly, it is about the cheapest pizza you can order so I don’t get surprised when mistakes happen every now and then. If you order regularly online you get free pizza from the«points» that you accumulate.

I did see the reviews on Unilocal before ordering from here, but my husband and I like Papa John’s and wanted some. We ordered online for delivery(since I read that they;ll charge if you place your order via phone). The estimated delivery time was 55 – 65 minutes. It was also the Blackhawks vs Bruins game 1 playoffs, so I assume there were many customers ordering pizzas. Plus the weather was bad with tstorms and hail warning. Our pizza took an hour and half to arrive… longer than they told us. I was pretty upset because the pizza was not hot — it was leaning toward the cooler end which means it was probably done for awhile. We still gave them a good tip because my nice husband was saying the delivery guy must have lots of deliveries on this day, sure, sure. Pizza tastes decent but wish it was actually warm to hot when we got it. The peppercini was also very small :( Anyway we still MIGHT order from here but probably on a less busier day plus will place the order 2 hrs in advance before we actually get hungry!

Wow, what an awful place. I looked online and tried to call the order in. It was a dollar more than ordering online. I said forget that, I will order online. So I did, I received an order number from their website. It also said that I should wait for an email confirmation number. After 20+ minutes I didn’t receive a confirmation. So I completed an online form to complain. I then tried calling the store to cancel the order. No one answered. So I went and completed another online form to say I haven’t received a confirmation and to cancel the order. I did receive an email stated«On behalf of Papa John’s Pizza, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience you encountered with your recent order from Papa John’s. We are truly sorry the problem from the restaurant caused your order not to meet expectations. Our goal is to provide not only a superior quality pizza, but also a World Class Customer Experience to our consumers at all times. Your comments have been sent to the Owners/Operators for this location and someone should be contacting you soon.» I will be stunned if the Owners/Operators contact me. My opinion is they don’t understand customer service in the first place. My point is if you are going to drive customers to use your online ordering it should, at least, work reasonably well. This is an epic fail of online ordering and poor customer service.

Imagine I took a dump in your freezer. Then imagine I told you it was a pizza made of high quality ingredients. What would you think of that?

I’ve ordered twice online. The first time the pizza was poor quality. The second time I received an email 15 minutes after placing the order notifying me the order was cancelled. The email ended with«Please contact your card provider to find out how long they will hold the authorization against your available funds.» I called the store and was told that they decided to close early because they weren’t getting many orders. After seeing the reviews here, it’s obvious why. Avoid like the plague.

Pizza and breadsticks were typical. Papa Johns standards. The delivery… took about 30 minutes longer than they said. Food was HOT and fresh. I read the reviews after ordering and then I started paying more attention to the time. They did, however give us a call, about an hour and 10 minutes into our wait(the quote was 45 – 50 minutes) and said«Sorry we are running a little behind, we’ll have your pizza there in about 5 minutes». and then they were here 10 minutes later… I did appreciate the call. I will order there again but ORDEREARLY! Because you will wait. The pizza is good if you like Papa’s. We did receive everything we ordered and they gave us a LOT of bread sticks! 10 I think. I don’t know if that’s the typical number but we were happy with it. 3 stars for quality 1 star for delivery

Ok they get 3 stars for the quality of the pizza, 1 star for service/deliver, which should average to 2 stars but the service was so bad that they still just get 1. Called for a pizza, and called back couple minutes later to add diet Pepsi to the order. Guy shows up a little over an hour later with just the pizza. We weren’t charged for the drink, no record of it or anything. So he leaves and he’s nice enough that he goes back to Papa Johns, picks up a soda and actually brings it back. Called back a total of 3 times to verify that it’s a 20oz. diet Pepsi we ordered, we offer to pay cash for it if we weren’t charged. Waited to eat the pizza b/c I love soda with pizza, he comes back with regular Pepsi and I look at him and say«are you serious?»(after three phone calls that it’s diet) – and he looks at me and says«sorry that’s the best I can do.» What does that even mean??? I know it sounds petty to complain about a $ 2 drink but the whole process took over 1.5 hours and I ended up with cold pizza and no soda!

This papa johns just opened recently and some of my friends and I decided to give it a try. 11pm on a Saturday night in, we’re just down the block, it shouldn’t take long for a delivery. After looking over the website and finding a deal we like we call, and end up having to order by website in order to get the deal, no big deal. The email says it will take 30 – 40 minutes to get to us. An hour and 45 minutes later our COLD pizza arrives. The delivery guy says. did that take a while? Yes, it did. We still tip him, because we obviously haven’t realized the food is ice cold yet. A couple weeks later, this past Monday, tried it again, maybe they’ve gotten their stuff together by now? Nope. This time, same thing, expect to wait 30−40mins, order is delivered on time, but is wrong. I don’t know how hard it is to read something off a computer screen, it’s not like their listening to me and writing it down wrong, online ordering is supposed to be fool proof! If they can’t deliver the right item, or deliver in a timely fashion I’ll stick with places much farther away that can still guarantee a correct order that arrives quickly with the food still hot.
