Sabio’s Pizzeria

We’ve lived around the corner for years and finally gave Sabio’s a try. Friendly service, clean restaurant, great pizza (especially love the cheese), and all at a reasonable price.

I’m so happy that I stumbled across Sabios on Unilocal.
For a girl who prefers thin crust pizza over anything Chicago-​style, Sabios fits the bill! Their pizza is thin but not crackery, pliable but not undercooked. The sauce is sweet and balances the nice spices they put atop the cheese. I think I’ll order extra sauce the next time because it’s just a little too skimpy for me. I know they’ll be happy to do it — the service when calling in is courteous and friendly. Not some angst-​ridden teenager who is bitter about making minimum wage.
The delivery has been faster than any other pizza place in the Oak Park area and it’s always fresh and hot. And the price is right! Try Sabios — you won’t be disappointed!

Not bad! I’m definitely a pizza snob, and have been looking for a new go-​to delivery place after moving to Oak Park. I was surprised that the pizza was pie-​style and not cut in squares like most Chicago thin crust, but I got over my momentary shock when I tasted it. The pizza was really tasty, arrived quickly, and was a decent price. Good quality cheese and sauce, which are my two biggest factors in finding good pizza. I think I’ll try out some other places in the area, but will definitely keep Sabio’s on the delivery rotation.

Their pizza is pretty good! Their Buffalo Chicken Sandwich is really good! They have fast delivery too. However, $ 4.75 for 10 fried mushrooms is not a good deal. So, stick with the food, not the appetizers.

The owner has more than ten years in the restaurant business, and it shows. It shows in the care he takes in selecting ingredients and the preparation of every meal.
The dough is soft without being chewy. The homemade sauce has a great tomato flavor without the acidity and overpowering tomato paste flavor you find so often. The sausage and pepperoni have just the right amount of spiciness. The cheese is smooth and never rubbery. When great ingredients come together with care and attention to detail, the result is just a delicious pizza!
There’s just a few tables and the décor is typical pizza joint: simple tables with red and white tablecloths. But the point here is to get good food, and that’s what Sabio’s delivers.

So, in the southwest corner of Oak Park there’s a new place — it calls itself a pizzaria (and their pizza is good!), but it’s really one of those places with sandwiches and wraps and burgers and subs and all the classic Italian fare. Here’s the thing — everything is good. Really good.
I am addicted to their buffalo chicken sandwich. As in I think about it all the time and have restricted myself to one a week. Today is BF sandwich day! The chicken breast jucy and tender, not dried out, overcooked or obviously fried after flash frozen. It is not a pre-​breaded breast — it has a nice, delicate breading that is then smothered in spicy wing sauce. It comes on Turano Italian bread and it is nice and spicy.
The place has no ambiance — pure hot dog stand — a few prefab plastic booths and no decorations, in a beat-​up mini-​mall across from the Ryder Rental truck place. But they have good lunch specials, it’s perfect for carryout and hopefully they will get it together to have delivery soon.
