I absolutely love sushi but this place was a disappointment. The fish used in the sushi was not fresh an had this odd texture. Definitely not worth the money sent there. There are definitely better places in the area.

Lunch specials run through the weekend(big plus!) and $ 7 for 2 rolls + soup or salad can’t be beat. Eel avocado was ok, but I really liked the spicy yellowtail crunch roll, which I don’t see on too many neighborhood sushi joint menus. The $ 8.25 tonkatsu bento was pretty standard and good enough. Umi is far from amazing, but it’s clean, the food is solid, and it’s a nice quiet place for a breather and a meal after shopping at the chaos that is Trader Joes!

price is great. bbq squid for $ 8. it still had a lot of the seafood taste and smell but it couldnt beat the price. my katsu don rice with pork wasnt as good as i wanted it to be. the pig was too fried but the rice was awesome with lots of veggies and sauce. that cost about 10. the tempura seafood udon noodles cost about $ 10 but it consisted of a tons of noodles and varieties of tempura. mainly yam and fried broccoli. my total cost was $ 30
