I’ve been to Connie’s a number of times for both breakfast and lunch. Love the old-​school diner counter service and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food is exactly what you would expect-​standard diner fare with no surprises. It is cheap and good but, ultimately, nothing really stands out as being great, which is fine with me as not all restaurant experiences have to be memorable. Sometimes you just want to go to a place that is comfortable and serves simple, standard fare that is good. The place is small but with only one person manning the griddle it can get a little backed up. No problem, just grab a newspaper, start a conversion with the person sitting next to you or watch the action at the grill.

Welcoming, classic, and with a very welcoming staff. This is just some things I can say about Connie’s Diner. I’ve yet to try everything I want to there, but you can trust me when I say I’ll be back.

If you’re looking for a fancy breakfast this isn’t the place for you. It’s simple, comfy, and has loads of midwest charm. This place is very small so if you have little kids (newborn-​2year) this might be a little tricky for you but this diner overall is friendly to anyone of any age or background.

I love this place! When I left Fond du Lac in the summer of 2013 it was called Joan’s kitchen. It is one of the very few places where they actually know how to cook over medium eggs properly! So when I arrived I saw that it was now called Connie’s who used to work for Joan. The food is still just as great as ever but I do think the coffee is actually better now. Oh, and Connie put in new barstools at the counter. The place seems to be doing very well under Connie’s new management because it was packed the whole time I was there. No pretense just good food.

Great food, traditional menu. Feels like a community diner should. Staff is talkative, regular clientele but room for first timers. Convenient on street parking for free right on Main St downtown.
