Our favorite Chinese restaurant. The service is great and it’s clean. And they serve our favorite Soban wine. Make sure you try the pot stickers. I could make a meal of just those!

Meh. Now I know that Folsom isn’t a culinary Mecca, but seriously, can’t this place do any better? I’ve had better Chinese food at Panda Express. The 2 stars are due to the excellent service only. The orange chicken had a funky, rancid oil aroma and the lo mein was extremely mediocre. Perhaps we caught them on a bad night or they were serving last night’s leftovers? Too many bell peppers and green onions in all of the dishes and not enough chicken, beef, or shrimp. It was obvious that they were purposely stingy with the meat. We should have just bit the bullet and driven to SF Chinatown for some real food. Aren’t there ANY decent restaurants in Folsom? I sure haven’t found any — with the exception of Karen’s Bakery and Karen’s is only open for breakfast and lunch. Next trip to Folsom, I’ll stop for dinner on the way!

I thought this was pretty gross, don’t get honey walnut shrimp it’s a soggy mess. Had it delivered was not worth the del minimum I winded up spending 30 for two meals. My friends Beijing beef was also watery and sogged out. Not worth the money.

Tried this place for the first time today. Trying to find good places to eat Asian cuisine. This place is so highly rated that I had to try it. Needless to say, my expectations were not met in the slightest. I’m quite disappointed. I ordered a wide array of items: Chicken Fried Rice, Hot & Sour Soup, Twice Cooked Pork, Beijing Beef, Deep Fried Prawns, and Fried Wontons. They accidentally gave us an order of Crab Puffs too. Hot & Sour Soup was super salty. Twice Cooked Pork tasted like Orange Chicken from Panda Express. No spice to it whatsoever and it was super soggy. Beijing Beef has about 4 pieces of good sized beef, and then about 5 sprinkles of tiny pieces of beef. It was not spicy, and loaded with soggy, tasteless vegetables. If I wanted a vegetarian dish, I would have ordered one. No flavor or aromas at all. The Deep Fried prawns tasted like Deep Fried Prawns, nothing different there. The Wontons weren’t very crispy and the pork was burnt inside. As an extra, I tried the Crab Puffs and the cream cheese was cold inside. I paid over $ 60 for the food, and I’m not impressed. The staff were friendly and took care of us when they goofed on our order. I wish the food tasted better. Sorry Folsom Palace, I won’t be visiting their again. 2 Stars for the staff and the decent tasting shrimp.

It has been a long time coming but my wife and I finally made it here for dinner. I have heard and read nothing but great things and have to agree. Just two of us but ordered — small hot and sour soup, mushu pork, lemon chicken and Mongolian beef. Our staples at a new Chinese restaraunt. Everything was superior to other area Chinese restaraunts. Going back to try more of the other items. Plenty to take home for tomorrow.

Today the black mushrooms I was hoping for weren’t there, but they do have shitakis at least, and the scallops were nice, not those horrible bay scallops we sometimes get stuck with. I thought the lunch specials were a little on the skimpy side, especially the salad(why bother it’s so tiny) that comes with lunch. The hot and sour soup was fairly good, with the addition of a little hot oil which they have if you ask for it. The other thing I’d change is that they only have white chicken meat. I only like dark. But the dinner menu has lots of great offerings, and the food was well prepared so we’ll be back.

My favorite Chinese restaurant! Always fresh and perfectly made! The war wonton soup, greens and prawns and pot stickers are my favorite! A must try! The customer service is the nicest I’ve ever had and the dinning area is so classy and clean! Everything is just amazing!

This is a average Chinese restaurant trying to be up-scale but it doesn’t work, and it left me saying to myself«who are you trying to fool?». You can’t charge high prices just because you put out some tablecloths. The service tried too hard to be posh, such as pouring a can of coke into a glass like as if it was a bottle of fine wine. When we needed service so we could pay our bill and leave then nobody was around. The prices are too high for the quality of food(most things were $ 4-$ 7 more than competitors), and their flavors & presentation are blah. I ordered curry chicken(like I do in most places) and this was hands down the worst curry chicken yet. The meat to vegetable ratio was skimpy for $ 11.95(maybe 3oz of chicken) and the dish was oddly over spicy and bland at the same time — it didn’t taste like curry at all. My little cup of steamed rice($ 2) was the best part of my meal. My dinner companion ordered soup($ 9.95) which was watery and mostly vegetable; seafood fried rice(with rubbery seafood); and a scallops dish which he said was passable but the quantity & quality of scallops was not what he expected for $ 19.95. All in all — we will not go back, and we would not recommend this restaurant to anyone we like. Sorry Folsom Palace.

Last minute decision on lunch and this was close by. Great choice. The food is fresh and the chicken is tender. I got the Thailand eggplant chicken dish. Total of about 20 mins for three lunch combo platters. Great portion for the price and I’ll definitely be back. Thanks Brian for the great customer service!

My favorite Chinese place in Folsom! Pricey but great quality. Their dishes are tasty and authentic. I love their Hong Kong rice noodles and Hong Kong style fried fish. The service is a little slow but overall a very nice ambience at the restaurant. I definitely would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for great Chinese food!

Back again. This place ROCKS! Owner and staff recognized me and treated me with great deference. Chef/owner will make Korean green onion pancakes to take with her to her girlie museum event at the DeYoung in SF.

The ambiance here is modern with some beautiful Chinese art. It’s a smaller dining room, and there is like a «redone» Sushi bar motif here, but overall it works. The tone is definitely upscale, and the patio outside is shaded and very nice. Kitchen wise this is some of the best Chinese food for our area. Lots of others have professed this so this place is consistent. We did a family lunch out and we tried a good cross section of Chef’s special dishes, which I cover below: Crab Meat and Cheese Puffs — Made in house Yum! War Won Ton Soup — excellent broth, thick fresh vegetables and protein, awesome won tons Salt and Pepper Calamari –small thick pieces of calamari, not greasy Sesame Chicken — a nice light bit of spice, but this was mouth watering chicken breast that was not overly battered. You get big portions so loosen your belt. The tea here is a loose leaf green tea. Excellent. Prices here are definitely Chinese fine dining, so come to Folsom Palace for a treat. You’ll get the chance to try something artfully executed, more so than either Lotus 8 or Fat’s as far as my experiences. But why not compare all three.

The food here is delicious, however, I’ve gotten food poisoning the last 2 times I’ve gone there! I ordered the potstickers(which tasted great) & didn’t want to believe(the first time I ate there) that they were the reason that got me sick. So I ordered a second time… & within a hour I was sicker than ever. Very unfortunate because I hear nothing but great things from others that eat here

I’ve ordered take out from this place many times. I have yet to be disappointed. The food is delicious, fresh, with good portions and quality ingredients. I have yet to officially go inside this restaurant, but I’m sure the experience would be the same. They have excellent and very friendly customer service. They always make things as easy as possible and are always on time. I definitely recommend this place! Give them a shot and I’m sure you’ll have the same experience as me!

Very, very far from authentic Chinese food — but if you’re looking for Americanized Chinese fare this place is worth your time! Much better than PF Chang’s or Fat’s.(Though not as good as actual Chinese food.) They offer patio seating if the weather is warm enough, which is nice since inside seems a little cramped. The Thai Eggplant dish(they offer it with pretty much any kind of meat) is delicious, but EXTREMELY salty. If they cut back on the sodium a bit I would have enjoyed it more. I still helped myself to seconds of it though. And thirds. Three Ingredients — vegetables and seafood smothered in a garlic wine sauce. Not bad, but I wouldn’t order it again. Bok Choy with Mushrooms — pretty straight forward. I wish the Bok Choy was a little more crisp though. Seafood Chow Fun — pass. There is better chow fun in the world to be had. Steamed Sea Bass — also pass. I LOVE Sea Bass, but actual Chinese restaurants just do it so much better. Honey Walnut Prawns — I find this dish in general is universally liked, regardless of the restaurant. The prawns here are huge and lightly battered, and not completely dowsed in mayo the way other places do it. Thumbs up from me! I may be biased because I grew up on actual Chinese food, so Americanized Chinese food will never be as good to me, but Folsom Palace still impressed me.

2015 Unilocal100CHALLENGE — 061⁄100 We ordered delivery and the food was incredible! I ordered a Hong Kong Style Seafood Noodles, the rest of the group ordered Shrimp Fried Rice, and some Spicy Beef plate and we loved everything. Nice portions, high quality ingredients, and excellent customer service. Our wait time was 45min, and the food was delivered in 30min. Best Chinese take out I’ve had in a while!

I’ve been here 3 times, and each time I think«Crap, that’s expensive for takeout». The second time, I was hungry and driving home from work not wanting to cook. I called in an order and got 5 items; chow mein, fried rice, honey walnut prawns, broccoli beef and orange chicken. Picked up the order, and it was $ 70! HO-WRYCWAP! The chow mein has had an off burnt flavor both times. The Orange chicken is cooked with the orange peels deep fried. These are awful if you accidently eat one. The honey walnut shrimp was delicious, and good portion size. $ 70 inChinese for two people was crazy. We ate leftovers for like a week. The food is decent, but priced higher than their competition. PROTIP — there is a 10% coupon online if you Google it. Show it to the cashier at checkout and thank me later.

Alright went to this chinese restaurant located in Folsom with a friend of mine. Ordered sweet corn chicken soup, Mangolian chicken, 2 orders of chicken fried rice, and north china chicken chow mein. This was for a party of 4 adults and 2 kids less than 5 years old. Food was fresh, hot, and right quantity. This in my books get 1 star off the start. Quality was good. The soup when served the first time had too much salt in it. We called on it and they quickly replaced it with another new order so no harm done just consistency is in question. The chow mein was rightly boiled and stirred in wok. The rice on the fried rice was too boiled so it was sticky and the rice was broken. See picture for your self. This makes this place get 4 star from me. The soup served second time was great and the Mangolian chicken was good too. Just the soy sauce was a bit burnt. Maybe the flame was too hot. The price per person was within $ 20 including a 18% gratuity tip. I knew a table cover of 6 people deserves a 18% tip but not with 2 kids less than 5 years old. Just the tip was $ 10 and for a light service. Bottom line will go back to the place for Chinese food when we visit Folsom. My friend who is regular here said the fried rice is usually way better than what was served today. So taking his word for it. I will stick with 4 stars. If not this plane for the price is 3.5 stars.
