The Crayon Box

As a working parent I tirelessly visited daycare/​preschools that I thought would be good for our child. I looked for a nurturing place that would not only provide comfort, but structure and academics. Oh, and it had to be reasonably priced and near the train for my commute into NYC. I found all of that and more at Crayon Box. Ms. Virginia runs a terrific program and really prepares children for kindergarten and beyond.

UPDATE! 02/​26/​15 — -Had baby number 4 in 2013 and she now attends this school just like my other girls did. There was no questioning where we would send her. Still love this preschool!
LOVE THIS PRESCHOOL! I am a mother of 3 little girls. Twins ages 5 and their younger sister who is 4. My girls have all been going here for almost 2 years now. The owner and director of the school Ms. Virginia is amazing! Very warm and welcoming and runs a very structured, clean, organized and fun environment for children. My twin daughters cried all day for almost 2 months, now I don’t even get a goodbye in the mornings. The hours are awesome for a working parent, drop off at 7:30 and pick up no later than 6:00.
My twin daughters also have asthma and when they are sick with asthma episodes I need not to worry ONE BIT! My daughters get their treatments and the teachers keep to my schedule.
Academically this school rocks! HW every other night which consists of tracing, coloring, cutting & pasting. Only one sheet per HW night and it is very manageable. Breakfast and snacks are served at school only lunch has to be sent in. Which they warm up =)
I love love love this school and I am sad my twins will be going to kindergarten in September =(
