This review has nothing to do with the school, and how it’s run. I called several time to inquire and they never got back to me. I left numerous messages and I even told them to call me back at a certain time. I guess the school has enough children for them not to want my business. Even when i called, the lady who answers the phone calls was rude and trying to rush the phone call… never again.

I must say that I have to concur with much of what the previous reviewer had mentioned. It’s a pain having to review your child’s school with such negative feedback but it’s the least that can be done to provide an honest, accurate picture that can hopefully be helpful for other parents. My child was enrolled in the flushing program and it had been a rough course for her. First off, this school appears to have a notable interest in charging fees for almost every everything possible. From pictures, performance CDs, school bus fees, chaperone fees… you name it. While I understand education is a business after all, it is appalling that there are so much hidden costs– in almost every activity that the kids partake. Second, there were some concerns about the intense activity and commotions among kids. I had the opportunity to pop in quickly as I dropped off some stuff in my child’s classroom after nap time on a school day, and as I was standing by the classroom door, I observed how teachers and the assistants interacted with the students. I was rather surprised and upset that there was quite a bit of yelling going on by the teacher TO the students. A common phrase that her teacher used a lot was«stop it!!!» which was eloquently picked up by my child. I am not so sure whether that is an effective way of disciplining or educating kids. I gather that teaching is a stressful job and it can easily drive someone crazy having to manage over 18 kids at the same time. But, as a parent, I have serious concerns when my child picks up expressions that aren’t the most appropriate from not only peers but also teachers. I hate to admit but the teachers(at least those from my child’s class) were not particularly affectionate and warm. That really turned me off. Third, the administration seemed to lack quite a bit of transparency. I had trouble understanding why the school activity fees had to be paid in cash only. It felt rather shady to me when checks are not recommended. There’s always the expectation that parents would contribute financially in some shape or form, and the requests were rather frequent. The two stars were given because of the extracurricular activities and the rigorous academic curriculum. I was not particularly impressed by the school itself, the staff, or the learning vibe in general. Granted, I have rather high standards for education and expect no less for my child.
