I’m pretty sure I crave Field House after every night out. It’s the cure! Their fried chicken and waffle with the chocolate and caramel is actually a God-sent(sounds strange, but I promise you it’s nothing short of amazing). Of course, their Bloody Mary’s are awesome, too, but the food is where it’s at. If you’re not afraid to splurge a little(ok, maybe a lot) calorie-wise then you need to go here ASAP. It’s has a cool, trendy vibe and the staff is super friendly!

Today was my first visit to the Field House. Atmosphere was fair, trendy college types. I ordered mac and cheese and a waffle. The mac and cheese was fairly good. For most connesieure, mac and cheese can be quite bland. The Field House came with bacon bits and a smokey flavor. Not sure if it’s the cheese or smoke flavoring in the sauce. I also ordered a waffle. The waffle was good, I mean what can you do to a waffle. It might help if the kitchen wipes off the griddle a little more often. I observed specks of burnt waffle, most likely from previous orders. The Field House is a more yuppy/trendy replica of LOLO’S Chicken and Waffles. Overall, I give it a good rating.

I was so excited when I heard this place was opening up. Was greatly disappointed. The chicken was bland and dry and the waffles were mediocre. I guess I set my expectations too high. The décor is cute and the service is okay. One of the only places in flagstaff that served fried chicken.

I really like this place, but smells like a grease pit. Needs to have a greater emphasis on cleanliness, especially for a fairly new place. Food is good, bloody mary’s awesome… tap has great beer choices.

I’ve found my new favorite place. Best Bloody Mary I’ve had in forever. Chicken and waffles and the chicken fried steak were awesome. Best part was the atmosphere and service. Terrell was great, attentive and polite. Music was great. I can’t wait to come back. Can you build one by my house in Phoenix?

Portions are huge and prices are fair. They have a good variety of options and their food is quite tasty. My only gripe is that the booths are disgustingly dirty. They have food residue and particles in between the cracks of the tables. It definitely looks like it never gets cleaned. Gross and unappetizing.

Came here for the first time for the raved about Bloody Mary’s. To make a long story short, we never got one. Took several minutes before we were even acknowledged after entering, staff was obviously overwhelmed. We were able to place our order relatively quickly and that’s where things really went downhill. Food was taking forever so we, and ever other table it seemed, were given a «comped» tater– tot nacho plate. Asked about our BM’s and were told the other server had to make them. Got our food and again asked about our BM’s, same response. Food was OK. fried green tomatoes, Mac and cheese, payton omelet, morning wood and a burger. Finally cancelled our BM’s. Bill came… we were charged for the comped tater-tot app and 2 of the 3BM’s we never got. Bill was corrected and we left. Observed a group seated at the counter who apparently were fed up with the lack of service. Others in our group were very disappointed as their past experiences here had been very positive.

Folks, i tried it again. It if obvious that the owners(the same guys that have ruined Busters) do not read or do not care about what reviewers say on Unilocal.I STRONGLY recommend that you do not eat here, if you have any plans of attending a social event afterwards. You are going to smell of greasy fried chicken for the rest of the day. The food remains passible, but there are a lot of potential improvements that could be to the advantage of the customer, but again the owners cannot seem to understand the issue. Please look at the consistency of the complaints and you will understand.

To be clear — this is not South Central Los Angeles. It is Flagstaff AZ! So the ambience is slightly different from the chicken and waffle places I’m used to… What they lack in urban vibe though, they more than make up for on the breakfast menu. The omelette I had was stellar, super fresh and delicious produce — and the French Toast was crunchy on the outside, warm and gooey on the inside, and made me feel happy on the inside

Here in Flagstaff for a wedding and when traveling, I try to find a locals favorite. I saw Field house on Unilocal and saw the Chicken and Waffles so I had to try it to compare to California’s Rosco’s Chicken and Waffles. We got there early so seating was not a problem. Our server was great. Very attentive, friendly and helpful. The food was good but the Chicken was not as flavorful or as crispy as I like it. I love the way they prepared the waffle. A very crisp and thin waffle with a good flavored batter. Our friends ordered the Lisa and the Monte Cristo and they looked delicious. A large portion of an entrée. The place was very clean but definitely a smell of oil. Maybe they do need better ventilation or change out their oil fryers more ofter. I think maybe the reason to why the chicken isn’t as crispy as it should be. Still worth the try, but since we’re visitors, it was a one time visit.

I can’t say enough good things about their food! It’s unique, flavorful and quite pretty to look at. I would go there again, just for their food. The restaurant’s atmosphere was good, big open windows and friendly people. The only reason I gave 3-stars was because we couldn’t seem to get help when we needed it. We waited for 15 minutes for a table that was right in front of us, empty but not yet cleared. After that, it took the host 10 more minutes to even bring us our menus. Another 10 minutes for drink and food orders. But from there it was mostly smooth sailing.

I’ve been here twice now with family and both time I’ve been favorable impressed. I was close to a 5 star rating but dinged them because their food is not quite there in my humble opinion and I can’t get a traditional Manhattan because their bar does not stock sweet vermouth although I understand their sister establishment Taverna does. What’s up with that? The food — heavily Southern comfort based with some interesting twists and turns. Their full name is Field House Chicken & Waffles. I had their B.L.G.T. the first time which features fried green tomatoes along with bacon and lettuce on sour dough bread. It was excellent and a very generous size. Last night, I tried their NOLA Gumbo. I’ve had the real deal in Naw’lins and this was not bad but I personally didn’t care for the way they serve it over grits and cornbread — a tad too heavy for me but it was very tasty. I prefer my cornbread and grits on the side. Their service has been very good. They have some original cocktail concoctions — the Cowboys & Indians is a favorite of both my wife and daughter. I settled for Jim Beam on the rocks which was a very generous pour. This is a fun casual dining spot that features breakfast all day along with many other interesting and appetizing entrees and combinations.

Excellent experience for an early lunch today! Pulling off the freeway we found this location tucked into the back of a small shopping center, but not to be missed! We were greeted right away and seated at a nice table by the front windows. The décor in the resturant is very cute and quaint, love the mason jar chandeliers! Our sever was very friendly and our food came out in a timely manner. For a starter we had the fried pickle chips; delicious! Our meals were the Lisa sandwich and Southern burger; both beyond good! Overall this was a great location to stop into. The menu has a great selection and the staff was very attentive and friendly. Would return!

Uneven reviews for this place & I had an uneven experience. My server was good & there was clearly decent communication amongst wait staff. My issues were with the kitchen, which was«a mess» today according to our server. Our food took entirely too long to prepare, came out @ variable temperatures & cooking quality. :/ Atmosphere is good, definitely a place to catch an NFL game; charming décor. I’m gonna go back & check out happy hr.
