Cyndie’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria

This is absolutely the worst Italian Restaurant I have ever been to. The food tastes like it’s fresh but it’s cheap tasting and not too good. The service is good and the people are nice, but they seem to always mess up my order regardless. The delivery is slow and also inaccurate. I was told it would take 20 minutes to arrive and it took 50. Not sure why anyone would confuse Spaghetti and Meatballs with Chicken Alfredo, unless it was already made to order. The pizza is edible, but the sauce and topping distribution is horrendous.
Furthermore, the restaurant was also very dirty when I showed up to return my food and get a refund. However the guy tried to get me to take the spaghetti which I didn’t want. I gave up on this place 2 years ago and recently decided to give it another try because 2 years ago it went by the name Pizza by George and had recently changed its name to this. Sadly, I have to report that it is more or less the same as before. Skip this place. No even better, people of Flagstaff, let’s boycott this place.
I really hate being negative about a restaurant, but seriously, this one takes the cake for being the worst I have ever visited. I tried too hard to like it.

Not a fan food was not good took over 95 minutes to get delivery food tastes like cat received no sauce and rather pricey

Worst pizza and service ever! Not clean, took forever and then the food was disgusting!!! Do NOT eat there– you will regret it!!! Ugh!!!

Too bad you can’t give zero stars. You’d be better off eating out of the dumpster behind a good restaurant than eating here.

I should have read the reviews 1^st! I found a bottle cap IN MY SANDWICH!!! And while the girl on the phone was kind enough to refund the price of my sandwich… She acted as if it were a common occurrence and said the delivery driver would be out to pick up the item. They will not be getting a second chance simply due to the lack of care and concern.

Attempted to order dinner for delivery… I have to say that the girl taking the order is nothing short of a bitch first class. I ended up canceling the order… if you can’t take an order over the phone and at least pretend to be halfway decent, then why in the world would I trust you to prepare and deliver an edible dinner?

Upon walking into Cyndie’s Pizza, we got the distinct impression that being a restaurant is not their top priority. A quick survey of the dining space revealed a competition for square footage between pizza delivery box storage and actual dining space. While looking over the menu, we noticed a third contender in the battle for precious space: a diaper changing station. Yes, amidst the boxes and few tables ready for dine-​in customers, a woman (who has yet to be revealed as a regular customer or as staff, on account of her delivering our drinks, but then leaving with her own carryout order shortly after), was changing her child’s diaper on one of the dining tables. Clinging to the aptly-​placed quote atop the menu heralding Cyndie’s as the «simply the best» pizza joint on the planet, we went ahead placed our order for the 16″ supreme pizza. Our drinks arrived, via the aforementioned mystery woman, and we found the beer to be so carbonated, it was undrinkable (it was in the bottle, no beers on tap). To Cyndie’s credit, they did tell us that particular brew was a little old and replaced it with a new, different bottle. The pizza arrived, and shortly after the peppers, parm, and silver wear. It took the server a few minutes to locate two forks and two knives — not adding to my confidence in our pending eating experience. We found the pizza to be wanting, especially considering the gourmet price tag. The sauce was on the salty side and the sausage a little gamy. Overall, the pizza was not bad if you were expecting something on par with Little Cesar’s $ 5 deal.
On the way out, we noticed two creeptastic vans presumably used for Cyndie’s delivery. The menu, scribed in sharpie marker and affixed to the side of the van with masking tape, communicated perfectly the quality of service and food to be expected when dining at Cyndie’s.

I really tried to give this place a second chance. I ordered from Cyndie’s months ago when it seemed as though they were going through a new management transition. The pizza was horrible. Fast forward to recently. I received a coupon on my door with a well thought out letter from the owner Omar pleading for people to give Cyndie’s a try. The coupon was for a free caesar salad, free garlic bread, and free 2 liter of coke with the purchase of any 18″ specialty pizza. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try the Meat Lovers pizza. The first thing that bugged me was the customer service when I called to place the order. The girl answering the phones was incredibly hard to understand and I had to ask her to repeat herself several times. She told me it would be 35 – 45 minutes. The order showed up an hour and 15 minutes later only after the delivery driver had to call me because my address was wrong on the order. Now about the food. The salad was wilty and had soggy croutons and not nearly enough dressing. The garlic bread was cold and pretty flavorless. The biggest issue I had was the pizza. The topping were satisfactory. The sauce was not that flavorful. The worst part was that the dough was still raw! I can definitively say that I will not be getting pizza from here ever again.

Not sure why the reviews for this place are so bad. It’s nothing special but the pizza is good for delivery and the jalepeno poppers are clearly made in-​house and they kind of kick ass.

We used the coupon for the family feast which included (1)18″ pizza with 3 toppings, (1)12″ cheese pizza (1) dozen wings and (1) 2liter of soda. $ 26.99.. The wings were horrible, the «sauce» was gross. It pours all over like water and has no flavor. The pizza was not good. The crust was so hard I couldn’t even cut it with a fork, I would of been better off using a saw. The sauce is salty and I’m guessing comes from a can. We will not be ordering from here ever again.

Awful. Ordered a thin crust pizza for delivery, and the crust was thick and doughy. It also took over an hour. It definitely was not worth waiting for!

The worst customer service I have ever experienced… and this is Flagstaff! After an order mistake by a very rude employee on the phone, I asked to speak with the manager. She said she was the manager! I asked her, «…and that’s how you treat your customers? I am never going there again.». She said «OK» casually as if she didn’t care if she had customers or not. If I could rate below 1 star I would. To be fare, I had eaten here before and the food was good, but I will never go back and recommend you wait until this restaurant goes out of business to try the next one at this high-​turnover location.

This place was horrible. We used the coupon for the family feast which included (1)18″ pizza with 3 toppings, (1)12″ cheese pizza (1) dozen wings and (1) 2liter of soda. $ 26.99. Sounds like a great deal! When we ordered we asked to transfer 1 of the 3 topping to the 12″ pizza and was told that would be $ 1 more? Do the math, you use less topping if it on a 12″? The wings were baked which if done well are good but these were like rubber. Both were very thin crust pizzas and the lack of no paper in the boxes cause then to stick to the box? The menu on the tables boosted about the fresh tomatoes from N. California that simmer for many hours in their sauce. There is no way this is true, I would say the whole process was from a can and no flavor. The inside is a mess and just appears dirty and cluttered with the employee appearance not being very appealing? And lastly I’m not sure of the connection but the menu’s/sign are from a previous pizza place called «Pizza by George» which is also horrible so I don’t know why the would do that. With all that I would recommend going elsewhere since there are many other choices!

It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the food is good, the prices are fair, and the service is attentive. Both the calzone & the fried shrimp/​chicken combo we ordered tasted great, and the Canolli was awesome! We’ll absolutely be back & would recommend it for a reasonably priced good meal.
