Sheffield Tavern

This is a great bar if you are a wigger with a G.E.D. The foul mouthed, slang tongued white trash girls in this bar love scrappy white boys with criminal records. Their offspring will drop out of high school and drink here with their toothless, craggily skinned mothers in 2035 and wonder who their father is.

Good Deals on the drinks starting around 11pm, doesn’t get super busy until around 11:30pm but always a good Dj or Cover Band playing. Decently busy crowd every weekend.

Very decent drink specials on Friday nights. The only night I’ve been here but looks like they have something different every night. It’s definitely a locals/​dive bar feel. No complaints.

Been going here for years, decent food, not the best prices but not horrible. Kind of a weird crowd now, but there are certain regulars and bartenders that go that have been there for years, and its fun to hang out with them! Good Holiday Bar place, great for bdays that you want to get wasted at ;) Overall a good Neighborhood Bar.

Decided to check out here since it’s directly across from my new babysitting gig. Pretty alright crowd for a week night, though, I felt a little out of place being from South Philly. Cheap drinks ($ 6.50 for a 16 oz Long Island) overall. though, I’ve also seen less. Kind of on the ropes about returning unless I’m nearby, but, it definitely wasn’t a negative experience.

Racist people here. They act like they’ve never seen an Asian. They said «sorry we don’t have chink music or food here. This is a tavern.» I ordered a drink, didn’t touch it then walked right out. Racist fucks.

Heard this place sucks

I can’t really find anything nice to say about this place.
I am friends with a couple of people who tend bar here, so once in a while I am forced to make an appearance to support people. This bar is walking distance from my house, and I still won’t go here unless I’m forced to.
The Sheffield was always a dive bar that attracted either underage kids or the gutter scum of Mayfair. It wasn’t so bad because the drinks were cheap. Well, about a year ago, they renovated the place and now they think they’re a nice bar. Really guys? $ 4 for a Yuengling? You know you’re a dive bar on Sheffield, right? I get better prices for Yuengling downtown. It’s ridiculous.
There’s always some terrible DJ playing terrible music that the terrible underage kids request. They seem to have more bouncers than patrons, and they’re all bullies. If you want to card me I have no problem with that of course, but please don’t talk to me like I’m a criminal before you even see my ID. I’m 28 years old and I’m clearly not some 19 year old kid trying to get into a bar. Leave me the hell alone while I drink my massively overpriced drink while trying to ignore the garbage music you play.

I definitely found my new drinking spot, they are not shy with the liquor at all here and the drink special are very good… One of the better bars that i been to aside from all the Frankford bars. Bathrooms aren’t the best. but i will be back

used to be a decent spot, but now it’s like they do the bare minimum to get by. the kitchen hours seem like they are always different. also, the menu has been reduced to pretty much fried food and soup. can get pretty young on certain nights and its not out of the question to get stabbed. but, still have a good time dayloading there once in a while.

Great place to go-​if you don’t mind people banging lines of cocaine off of the toilet.
