I loved it here! The food was filling and delicious and very reasonable. The only drawback was the fact that it was a cash only enterprise. I am a person who never carries cash. But there is an ATM out front. I had the seafood noodles. They were great. Next time I will try the shaved noodles.

Nothing more satisfying than a piping hot bowl of authentic noodle soup. The menu here is cozy, authentic and straight to the point. There’s 2 types of noodles to choose from. Flat rice noodles and the regular hand-drawn. Simply delicious and satisfying

I came here last week and got duck noodles as takeout. The order was ready in only 5 minutes. The noodles were definitely fresh and the broth was delicious. The meat was very good and came off the bone easily. The portion size was extremely large and lasted 3 meals. However, I am giving this place a 4 because there was not as meat as I had expected. Even for 8 dollars I expected a higher quantity of duck instead of just a few pieces.

*meh* no booze was a bummer; and the food was good but not as great as i thought it would be with such a high rating. Its like a to-go place with decent food. Wouldnt go again.

I came here with my family(4 total) while we were on vacation and this place was everything I expected: quality chinese food at an affordable price. Everything was around $ 8 and none of us could actually finish our food, so the waitressed ended up packing up our food for us to go. We ordered: –bok choy –fried cheese wontons: this was the only menu item we ordered that I wasn’t a fan of. The puff pastry bit that was used was super dense and the cheese filling had a strange aftertaste. –house fried rice –sliced beef with sliced noodles soup –shrimp with sliced noodles soup –pork with sliced noodles soup They give you so much noodles it is overwhelming. You can choose between sliced noodles and hand drawn noodles. The sliced noodles are a lot thicker. My favorites from what we ordered were the pork with sliced noodles, house fried rice, and the bok choy. The pork was so flavorful and it seeped into the both making the both more flavorful as the dinner progressed. The house fried rice had the perfect salt level with traditional chinese flavors that can only be obtained with a wok that has been used for years. The bok choy with garlic flavoring gave a nice balance to our really savory meal.

Yumyum in my tumtum! One of the best scallion pancakes I’ve ever had! I had to order 2!!! The fried pork & chive dumplings were really delicious, but they definitely could’ve been a little crispier. I got the beef stir fry as my entrée, and it was SO good. The noodles were perfect, and the beef was tender. I would suggest adding some sriracha or spice to them for a little kick! Would definitely come back to try their other noodles! :-)

Came here on a weeknight with no wait. The service was friendly and prompt. The dumplings I had were delicious. The noodles were amazing! So fresh and great texture. I had mine topped with roast duck and it was awesome. The prices were beyond amazing(cheaper than McD’s and way fresher and tastier!!!). Would definitely return if I’m ever back in the area.

Quick service helpful waitresses. I am no noodle connoisseur. So the chicken stiry fry i had with hand drawn noidkes tasted like regular lo mein to me. That is not said to discredit the noodles because they were goid and i would eat here again. Next time ill try the soup. The food comes in a large portion that is easi K y shared between 2 people with an app for a full meal The SCALLIONPANCAKE is crispy and delish

Very tasty drawn hand or shaved noodles. Had them in stir fry and in soup. Bol Choy and garlic is wonderful as are the steamed coconut and chicken dumplings. Nice surroundings and CASH only but byob. Go for it!

My brother and I’s favorite little spot in Chinatown. The soups are great, AND it’s BYO. One thing to note — the meats in the soup are pretty fatty, depending upon what you order. I realize it’s a cultural thing, but definitely not for me. That said, order a leaner meat if fatty’s not your style either.

This is the Chinese food from my hometown(Cupertino, an up-and-coming mecca of Taiwanese/Chinese cuisine). It’s easy to be swayed by all of the nice dimsum restaurants on the street, but ya gotta come here if you wanna get full. So before I took on the depressing vegan lifestyle, I had the classic beef noodle soup, egg and vegetable noodle soup, and ox tail noodle soup. I’m sort of sensitive to sodium, and these were kinda salty(?). It wasn’t that bad, but I often found myself not finishing the soup for these dishes. So what do I order post-veganism? 1. Scallion pancakes. you have to get these, they are really great here! You may need to pat the oil off. 2. Mixed Veggie Fried Rice/Vegetable Noodle Soup(w/o egg). Both are very filling options! I don’t think you can go wrong ordering stuff here(I say this with the expectation that you’re hungry), unless you forget to bring cash.

Yes — this is good Chinese food. It only took me two years for my aunt in north Jersey to tell me this place existed. I’m Chinese, and i’m picky. Nothing is better than my grandma’s food, but this place reminds me of all of the places my grandma and I went to on the weekends. The typical order: Dumplings — usually end up with 2 because it’s so good Green Onion pancake — sometimes too oily, but good I actually prefer their wider noodles than the thin hand drawn. It’s like eating fettuccine over angel hair pasta to compare. Must get the beef noodle soup. It’s their staple after all. Cucumber app — just delicious, not too sweet, which is my pet peeve. Cold sliced potato(not sure how to call it in english), but it’s an app and it is also delicious. I wish they delivered! They don’t take reservations.

Three words: Pork soy sauce. That is really the main thing you need to know, that I gained from my quick browsing of Unilocal as I sat in the crowded dining room at 12:15 on a Tuesday afternoon. It was my entrée of choice, and it was actually, the epitome of comfort food in all the Chinese I’ve had. Flavorful, filling, savory. Able to be twirled on chopsticks and shoveled in my mouth in large quantities. We made a couple of other key choices — spicy pig ears + curried chicken dumplings. Both were solid. Sharing the two appetizers and consuming most(close to all) of my plate of pork soy sauce meant that I was super full — bordering on Thanksgiving full. The noodles themselves are filling and some of the most delicious I’ve had. Service is brisk, no frills, not too much waiting. Location is convenient, dining room is spacious, but fills up quickly. Looks like getting there early for lunch is your best bet, since dinner is a mad house! Would definitely go back, would love to indulge in a giant plate of noodles again.

For all the Chinese visitors out there, please don’t be scared away by the Americanized look of the restaurant and menu items. Just get the beef brisket noodle and you will know what I am talking about. The workers here are all very friendly with smiles. Take their recommendation if you don’t know what to order. The radish dish is not my type, it’s a bit too sweet and crunchy.

AMBIANCE: Very typical Asian ambiance in terms of open, bright, and tons of tables. Not much in the realm of décor. White walls, white floors, very washed out. LOCATION: Semi easy to find. Street parking if lucky. Right by the Jefferson station. SERVICE: Quick and efficient service. Not the friendliest of people, but I was there to try the food, so it didn’t bother me too much. FOOD: I got the hand drawn noodles, shaved version. I got it with chicken and it came out fresh and steaming hot. The noodles were so tender and so good! Hands down the best stir fried noodles I’ve ever had. It was hand shaven so the noodles were different sizes but it tended towards the thicker side which is what I prefer. The other mix ins within the dish were nothing special, like the chicken and veggies, but the noodles were definitely the star! I am craving to come back soon. PRICING: The price was very reasonable for the portion size and taste. $ 8−11/dish. I had leftovers for the next day. It was still good warmed up. Oh and it’s CASHONLY.

I hate going against the Unilocaly grain, but my experience at Nan Zhou didn’t quite stack up to the mountains of hype backed by endless Unilocal and internet acclaim. Nan Zhou is a great spot for a wide variety of authentic noodle dishes, but even their excellent handmade noodles couldn’t make up for some shortcomings elsewhere. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Having experienced authentic noodle houses virtually across Asia, Nan Zhou does bring that authentic flair to the equation, and that flair was reinforced when I realized I was the only non-Asian person in the place. I like that, and the cash-only quick and easy ordering process complimented the vibe. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? $ 7.25 cash is what you’ll have to fork over for more or less any noodle dish at Nan Zhou, and that’s some great value considering how huge these portions are. Most ramen, udon, or phở spots will grossly skimp when it comes to the noodles, but Nan Zhou’s hand drawn noodles are dished up in abundance, and I was absolutely stuffed at the end of my dish. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? So it’s here that things fell a bit short. First and foremost, the broth was flavorless compared to most of the noodle shops I’ve been to around the world, and my thought is that’s partially due to what was a pretty pitiful quantity of sliced beef. There were a ton of wonderful noodles and an almost overwhelming quantity of cilantro, but the absence of significant beef really brought down the flavor here. The noodles, as you might expect, were excellent — perfectly cooked, but noodles in and of themselves don’t ad to the flavor of the dish. Single Star Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? I need to come back to Nan Zhou to get a different dish, but based on my visit I really can’t say that Nan Zhou would be my go-to spot for noodles in Philly. No Star Granted.

After mobile stalking this place for a while and wanting to go despite not having a reason not to go, some friends wanted to go, so… :) Met up for drinks and snacks earlier at another locale then trotted over here for dinner. Dinner and a show. Honestly, I was a bit post happy hour happy to see the show and was more entranced with food. Food. FOOD! It was a plenty. The best worst thing about going with me is that I want to try everything. The best worst part about having friends like me, is that they’re the same. When it comes to this or that? I opt for the third option. Both. Spicy pig’s ear salad. Sliced ultra thin with a little salad like slaw underneath, the spice left a gentle ting on your lips from the chili oil. Delicious. Dumplings. Dumpling sampler to be more precise. Fried, steamed, pan seared. All delicious. Pork, curry chicken, shrimp. Cheese wontons(like a rangoon) were excellent and best blazing hot to the point of instant burning mouth blisters. Oh yea, there were noodles too. Hand drawn or shaved. Yes, we omitted the ‘or’ hand drawn for soups, one pork and one tendon. Both delicious, the tendon chewy, tender, meaty, fatty bits of ethereal beef stuffs adorned with chewy noodles in a earthy cilantro spiked soup. The pork, cha siu in flavor came in a similar style topped with fresh cilantro. Shaved noodles were different from what I was expecting but in a good way. The texture was perfectly chewy and wide enough to keep up with the slices of chicken and vegetables it was quickly stir fried with. My only negative is that it is a BYO(because I didn’t know!!!) We’ll come prepared next time.

Get in my belly! You heard it right. When I first heard of this Noodle House, I was skeptical at best because of the prices. However, this is as authentic as it gets for an Asian noodle house. Let’s jump straight to the food. The noodles were good and had the right consistency. Unfortunately, the broth lacked flavor. It reminded me of chicken broth, which is alright, but not my favorite thing to pair with Asian noodles. The meat selection was good and pretty delicious. We ordered the combination appetizer, which I would highly recommend. If you have someone who doesn’t like spice with you, just ask for the chili sauce on the side. BUT be careful… one spoonful is already a kick and a half. The service was quite slow. This place does get crowded so I would suggest getting here early. We had a couple of people who were seated after us who got their food first, which was annoying. Otherwise, this is a crazy good deal for the amount of food you get. We each got a bowl and none of us were able to finish our entire bowl. tl;dr — Noodle me this: I am affordable, delicious, but at the same time authentic. Oh yeah, Nan Zhou! Stop by because you won’t regret this decision and you can probably grab a bowl or two to-go ;)

I enjoyed the lamb noodle soup here. The portion and price were both amazing. Unfortunately I had a piece of plastic from packaging in my bowl of soup. I didn’t complain in fear of what they’d do to my food if I sent it back and because it was so small. I just wish they had checked their dishes before serving. The irony is the piece of plastic said carbohydrates on it from the nutrition information part of packaged food. Anyways go try the noodles.

I had heard nothing but great things about this place and I’m a huge fan of Asian food and noodles so it seemed like it would be a great meal for me. We started with the cucumbers — which were amazing. Literally the most unique flavors I’ve had in a long time and unlike other things I’ve tried; and I’ve eaten a lot of Asian food. We then had the dumplings which were good, but not the best I’ve ever had. The noodle bowls were good and the meat in them was delicious so flavorful, but not the best I’ve ever had. Overall great meal, good prices, but not the best I’ve ever had.

Super quick service! Seriously, we placed our order and maybe five minutes later the food was out. Coincidence? I think not. There’s a dude literally stringing out noodles in the back. His forearms could crack walnuts. I wouldn’t mess with him. The broth is legit(not your typical Chinese restaurant wonton soup broth). The noodles have that chewy, rich texture that can only come from being freshly made and cooked minutes before being served to you. 1. Spicy Pig Ears(do it! you only live once) 2. Ask the waitress for some peanut sauce on the side… she’ll give you the stank eye, but it’s worth it 2. Try adding roast duck to your noodles, this is one of the few places that makes it tender 3. Oh yeah… try the hand drawn noodles

3.5 stars. YAS. NOODLES. BUTTHOSEPIGEARSTHOUGH. My friends and i decided to come here for our last meal in Philly after spending the entire day eating. So i came here relativity full but everything was still delicious, therefore, everything must taste really good when you’re here starving. The hand pulled noodles and knife shaved noodles were great and perfectly cooked. The portions are pretty large but the real stand out were the pig ears. Spicy enough for a cold day and chewy! They were cut really thin compared to normal pig ears and i would go back just for that. However, to be honest, granted that the noodles were delicious, they were standard to what i’ve had in NY. Service was super nice and the line moved quickly. Great price for the position size and flavor.

This place is awesome! We came here on a whim on a chilly night in Chinatown and boy did this place hit the spot! The food was quick, service was prompt and the prices were just right. Most importantly, the fools was phenomenal! I can’t believe I haven’t been to this place before and can’t wait to go back to satisfy my cravings! We ordered three appetizers: Spicy pig ears, not spicy at first but the heat builds. I was expecting a completely different texture, and the pig ears had a gelatinous texture to them that was not that appealing to me. The flavor of the sauce was ok, not amazing just a lot off spice. Id give it 3⁄5 stars. The next appetizer we got was the scallion pancake. I highly recommend this, it came out quickly and was crisp on the outside yet still had a good chew to it. The flavor was excellent and the dipping sauce that comes with it is flavorful. The next appetizer we got was the crab Rangoon which is always a crowd favorite and is pretty standard with any Chinese meal. I tried the beef brisket with hand drawn noodle. The broth was HOT and DELICIOUS. it was incredibly flavorful and clear, signs of a well made broth. This place knows what they’re doing! The next dish we got was the soy sauce noodle with shaved noodles topped with a fried egg. This was amazing, and the noodles were the star of this meal. The noodle is perfectly cooked and has a great al denote texture to it that’s makes it a joy to eat. I can’t wait to go back here to eat more noodles and try more dishes! For the price this place can’t be beat!

Personally this place didn’t «wow» me as I hoped it would’ve but it’s still a decent place to eat especially if you’re looking for a place with soupy noodles on a cold place and… you’re on a budget. First off my boyfriend and I ordered noodle soup, him with the oxtail and I with my lamb noodle soup. It took a while for them to come out with our bowl, which was fine because we’re expecting really delicious noodle soup. So when it came out we were really hungry and extremely excited. As I bit into my pieces of lamb meat it was really chewy and definitely have not been stewing in the broth as long as you’d expect it to be. My chopsticks wandered into my boyfriend’s oxtail noodle soup and that too was also chewy… I tasted both broth and for the love of god I could not spot the difference besides the difference in meat topping… If any of you have ever made broth with any type of meat, the rule is the longer you simmer it in the broth the softer and better tasting the meat and broth will be. But unfortunately I suspect what they did was have a collective broth pot and make the noodles put it in said person’s bowl and add the misc meats and then add the broth to the soup… which isn’t what real soup noodle places should be doing at all… the meat should be tender enough that I should not be struggling to eat it without my hands. And this would be fine… if I were eating at a place with less than 200 reviews and 4 stars… Honestly the over 1000 reviews and it being a 4 star rating made me believe I was going to be in for some kick ass noodle soup with tender meat… but what I got instead was annoyingly chewy meat with collective broth… much disappointment on my end. But other than the noodle soup, I thought the appetizers were awesome. Well seasoned and in appropriate portion sizes vs prices, which I appreciate. I do recommend the Fried Curry Dumplings, they were awesome and I rarely ever see curry dumplings ever. So overall the place was clean, the service was prompt and the appetizers were great. Noodle soup was disappointing but overall still did taste good… just not up to par to many other places I’ve tried before that were actually underrated. But they do have a large variety of options to choose from and I would have to come again to try the other options, since maybe this was a fluke and I might have a better experience later.

Delicious comfort food that makes it a must-go every time I’m in Philly. Traveling makes me more round/spherical but I love it. The hand-pulled noodles and knife-shaved(?- doing a direct translation here) noodles are both great options– I prefer hand-pulled in soup and knife-shaved stir fried. The brisket soup option comes with tendons and ligaments that are a challenge to chew, so opt for the other beef option. Spicy sliced pig ears are also a must– it’s so thinly sliced that you won’t know what you’re eating anyway, just that it’s slightly mouth-numbingly spicy and it has a crunchy texture. Goes well with cilantro if you ask for it! This is also one of few places in Chinatown where the wait staff is nice enough to tell you«hey, we’re just cleaning up but take your time.» If there’s a line, don’t fret– it goes fast and it’s worth it. Just remember, cash only!

I came for lunch, and ordered duck hand drawn noodles. Generally, Nan Zhou is cheap, fast, and delicious, but today the soup was bland and the meat was moldy. The duck meat(one piece, the rest was skin and bones) had a slight green tint. I left the food unconsumed. Tl;dr — Nan Zhou is hit-or-miss.

Delicious noodles after a workout is the best thing to have. Filing, but not heavy. The oxtail is one of my favorites because the broth is very flavorful but not too salty. As my friend described it «earthy». The texture of oxtail is unique. The meat is soft and falls right off the bone. The noodles were chewy and long. They did not give me enough pickled veggies but when I asked for more, they gave me a small bowl. They also charge $ 1 extra for more spinach, just fyi!

Yes. This place was amazing. The food was great. Service it seems was mediocre. I rated this three stars only because I firmly enjoy the taste of phở better, and there could have been more ingredients aside from noodles. I got the chicken chop noodle. It was worth it, but the coconut curry chicken dumplings WERETHEBESTOMG… OMG.

I cannot recommend this noodle house enough! If you are in the Philly area, please do yourself and your belly a favor and try out this noodle house. With its fresh noodles, tasty broth, fast service, and cheap prices, it’s hard to imagine anything other than an out-of-this-world eating experience at this noodle restaurant. The restaurant was jam-packed with people when we arrived, even at 2pm. However, since we only had 2 people, we were seated immediately. The food also came out promptly. We ordered a pancake, niu rou mian(beef noodle soup) with hand drawn noodle, and a stir fry dish with shaved noodle. The pancake was ~$ 3, and the noodle dishes were less than $ 7. A great deal, in my opinion! The pancake was sparse in meat ingredients, but were crisp and satisfying. The niu rou mian broth was flavorful and infused with a delicious beef flavor. The stir fry was delicious, although I wished that it came with more meat. But the most memorable part of the dishes were the freshly made noodles, which were highly addictive and left me immediately craving for more as soon as I stepped outside. I’m currently tortured with noodle cravings as I am writing this review. If only there was a similar noodle place in the Baltimore/DC area!

This is the ultimate place for Chinese comfort food. I went on a cold rainy day, and it definitely hit the spot. It was a Sunday around 1pm and I was with one other person, we had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. The service was great, they seated us, got our order(on ipads), and brought out our food within minutes. We first wanted appetizers, but our main entrees came out before our appetizers did. The restaurant was a decent size, holding about 40 – 45 people at a time. They also have tables for large groups(7 – 8 people) and small tables(2 – 4 people). Few things to note before going: — cash only — cheap — hard to find street parking(especially on a Sunday) — wait isn’t too bad Entrée– Shaved Noodle Soup Beef Brisket Noodle Soup This noodle soup was large and can be shared by two people. It wasn’t overwhelming in flavor and was just right. Usually I like adding some extra seasoning to my soups, but this one was fine without. The brisket was tender and very well seasoned, and they gave a good amount. The dish had spinach and other herbs, which gave it a very earthy taste– great for when your feeling under the weather. The noodles were also hand drawn and absolutely delicious. Entrée– Noodles with Pork Soy Sauce This entrée was a lot more rich in flavor. Not herby or light like the Beef Brisket noodle soup. If you want some bold flavors and a heavy dish, this is the way to go. The noodles were delicious and the sauce was rich and had a pinch of sweetness. This dish can be shared by two(unless your super hungry). Only negative I have about this dish is that it was a tiny bit too oily. Side– Dumplings and Chicken wings The dumplings were average, nothing special. The wings had a dry rub, not too rich in flavor but great for a snack or appetizer. Our whole meal was $ 28, and for that price the food was amazing. So cheap for some great comfort food.

What can one write about a place with 1,092 Unilocal reviews? As others have mentioned Nan Zhou is cheap. We ordered 2 dishes, a hand drawn noodle dish and a stir fried noodle dish. We were well under $ 20.00 for the two of us and couldn’t finish either dish! We went with a good portion of Unilocal reviews and tried Hand Drawn and Shaved Noodle Soup Beef Brisket Noodle Soup. This can easily be shared by two people. We requested an extra bowl. We added a little chili oil to the dish and that really brought out flavors. The noodles were tasty but the star was the brisket. This was super flavorful and tender. It must have been slow cooked the day before. We both really liked this dish. Next time, we will try the Hand Drawn Pork Soy Sauce Noodles per Gerald S. and Abby W. We also had the Fresh Chicken Stir Fried Noodles. This was good but not near as tasty as the beef brisket. The dish reminded us of Lo Mein a bit. The chili oil also added some flavor and the chicken was good but it didn’t wow us the way the brisket did. Probably would stick with the hand draw noodles on the next visit. Nan Zhou is a pretty decent size inside and holds around 40 people. There is a modern tile floor and accent lighting on the ceiling. The space is very clean. The servers were not super friendly but pleasant enough. Nan Zhou is cash only but you don’t need a lot of it. I will definitely be back and for the price and flavors it is easy now to know why they have so many positive reviews on Unilocal

There’s nothing like a bowl of noodles on a cold day! Had no problems getting a spot for two for dinner. Large bowl of noodles are $ 7.25-$ 7.75, and we weren’t able to finish. The default option is hand drawn, though I often prefer shaved. I very much enjoyed my beef tendon, though the broth is on the milder side, and I do wish it came out hotter. My friend had the beef brisket, which was also a good choice. No frills dining. This place can be somewhat touristy. Look around and you’ll often see more tourists than old Chinese patrons. The noodles come out fast — our noodles actually came out before the scallion pancake. And notice that’s a singular pancake. Just one small pancake. All in all a solid place. Cash only.

Nan Zhou is the place to go for hand drawn noodles. The noodles are chewy and freshly made. The broth is flavorful and heart-warming. I suggest the house special meatball noodle. They ask you if you want shaved or hand drawn noodles. Shaved noodles are thicker and wider while hand drawn noodles are thinner and longer. I prefer hand drawn noodles. If you’re not starving(and your portion size is on the smaller side), one bowl might be too much. I shared a bowl with a friend and it was perfect for sharing– just ask for extra bowls. I also recommend the scallion pancake here – very crispy and tasty!

You’re going to a hand drawn noodle house… Please use common sense and order some HANDDRAWNNOODLES… Especially if it’s your first time here. I usually don’t venture to far from the noodle bowl because it’s big, filling and delicious. It’s got amazing broth with soft fresh noodles. I usually go for the chicken chop, but I’ve heard every bowl is amazing. If you need an appetizer for your fancy date night, then I highly recommend the fried chicken curry dumplings. You get like 8 perfectly seared pieces of goodness. This place is a staple in Chinatown. It’s fantastic for those cold Philly nights. It’s CASHONLY and a bowl costs around $ 7 – 8, so come prepared!

The line for this restaurant can get pretty intense so come at a slightly off time if you can. Service is super fast though, so don’t be discouraged by a slight wait. We started with the pickled pig ears. Wow! I was amazed at how thinly sliced the pieces were. The ears come on a bed of picked daikon and carrots. The slightly sweet taste of the veggies went remarkably well with the spicy pig ears. Would recommend! The bowls of noodles are HUGE are are totally shareable.(They’ll even bring you out the extra bowl.) I would ask them for thicker noodles(otherwise the default are the thin ones). Generous amounts of beer tendon — so tender!!– in my noodles, along with bok choy and scallions. The broth is out of this world. I could drink that stuff all day. Noodles are hand drawn and super jindou as we’d say in Chinese(kind of like our version of al dente but not quite the same meaning).

I followed the advice of the other Unilocalers before me and ordered the spicy pig ears and a noodle dish(beef brisket soup). The boyfriend and I also ordered curry chicken dumplings, just because we both couldn’t really think of a time we had chicken dumplings. The spicy pig ears dish was much larger than we expected, and only until we got halfway through did we realize there were pickled julienne radish and carrots underneath! It was a refreshing surprise that elevated a simple appetizer. The curry chicken dumplings were also very good. A little dry, but nothing some soy sauce couldn’t fix. I was a little disappointed by the beef brisket soup though. While the noodles were good(I got the thick kind) and the broth was good, I still felt like there wasn’t enough spice to it. I guess I normally get the spicy beef noodle soups and since this wasn’t spicy at all, it didn’t taste like my perception of what a good beef noodle soup is. Being a visitor for a weekend, I was pleasantly surprised at the diversity of the patrons in the restaurant, and Chinatown in general in Philadelphia. I’m happy that hand drawn noodles draw in people from all different cultures!

I also got a mango smoothie with tapioca to go. Yummy! We both couldn’t finish our meals. My soup was huge and delicious! Soooo filling. I loved it. Both of his dishes were so good as well. We took it all to go and back to our hotel for later! I would of course recommend their noodle soups. It’s was they are known for and it was too delicious! Had a nice little kick of spice and there is garlic and more spice seasoning on the table if you wish to add more. It comes with cilantro which I do not like. I could’ve asked to leave it out but I forgot. Wasn’t a big deal just took it out myself. Service was great. I had a question about the broth and whether it tasted the same in all. It does. Questions were answered without hesitation and with a smile. CASHONLY! there is an ATM in case you need. The place was packed and people constantly coming in and out. I would definitely go back!
