I came here looking to buy a rifle. I had heard some good things about this place from friends and went to check it out. They had a very wide selection of forearms and their staff was both friendly and very knowledgeable. I was able to get the Sig Sauer M400 that I was looking for quickly and painlessly. Would certainly head back here for any future firearm purchases.

This was my first visit here since they just opened. My family and I traveled pretty far to get here and I found EXACTLY what I was looking for. We didn’t expect much, thought it would be like any other outdoors store but there was a pretty good selection with coats. I live in Chicago so I definitely needed something to keep me warm in the Windy City. I can’t wait to use it! The employees were very attentive and helpful. The only downside was that there was this rack of clothes right in front of the mirror. Luckily there were wheels so I could push it back to use the mirror. But to end on a good note, at check out the cashier said we qualified for a $ 20 gift card which caught me by surprise! I still don’t know why we got it but hey, I’m not complaining! Definitely will recommend!

A little ridiculous that an outdoors store doesn’t carry anything other than book bags in their backpack section. Also, they used to offer a military discount every day an have now cut it back to a few military-​themed holidays.
The upside? They are well-​staffed and it is easy to find someone to help you out… especially around closing time.

This is my favorite outdoor store in the St. Louis area. Why? Customer service and selection. Gander BY FAR has the largest selection of firearms anywhere in the area and they also have a staff of associates who actually engage you when you’re in the store. I have visited many times in the first year they have been open and will continue to do so as it is cleaner, more organized and easier to get to than either Bass pro or Cabelas.

I’d had a good experience at a Gander Mtn in Colorado, so decided to check with the Fenton MO store about a paticulat rifle, called and was told they have those, so drove out this morning. I live in OFallon IL, so not necessarily a short drive; only to be told that had been sold out for a while. Very frustrated, so although there will be a new Gander Mtn opening near me, I’ll be staying with Bass Pro and cabelas

I went there to get some 7.62×39 ammo, plus 223’s targets ect. The ammo is completely unorganized. Couldn’t find what I was looking for. I asked a sales associate where I could find the 7.62’s. All he did was point at a couple of shelves (not close together) and said if we have any over there or there. Then he walked away. Being I already looked at those shelves I wasn’t going to waste anymore of my time. The customer service is terrible. Figured I was going to spend more than $ 100 dollars, they lost out. I went somewhere else and spent my money.

GANDER MOUNTAIN PROTECTION PLAN
I bought this because the cashier told me that it covered stains in shirts. I stained the shirt the first day I wore it and now they claim it is not their policy. THEY WOULD NOT EVEN REFUND THE MONEY I SPENT ON THE PURCHASE PLAN.
I absolutely hate business’ that misrepresent themselves

And so I’m better than the Springfield Illinois one I like it a lot better I try to go back in there have some pretty nice stuff in there was looking for 22 ammo but they’re hard to find anywhere these days

Stopped into this new store and was expecting much more than what was offered. I am a huge outdoor person and right when I drove onto the parking lot I was disappointed in how small the building was. I had heard so much hype on this place and thought that the building would have been huge but it wasn’t at all. I walk in to see everything of course nice and new but almost the entire store is clothes. The ammo section is very limited and very high priced. I spent about an hour there and only spent $ 24 which never happens but everything pretty well that I looked at was overpriced and the staff didn’t know much about anything. They have quite a few firearms on the wall but again they are all way overpriced. This place really didn’t resemble an outdoor store but more a sports authority. Very disappointed and I wont be back unless they change almost everything

Guns are way over priced, but they do have .22 ammo… for now. Expect to pay 10 to 20 percent more for guns. Ammo is the same way. To put it in perspective, they had used Glocks for $ 599.
