Denny Dennis Sporting goods has everything I need for hunting and fishing. The staff is extremely knowledgable and helpful. It is not a box store where the customer doesn’t matter. Wide variety of products and a history of helping. Great family owned business.

I called their store in Fenton and was put on hold for 4 minutes. After the girl picked the phone up, she told me their gun department was busy and that I would have to wait 15 minutes on hold or to call back later.
I was going to purchase a new shotgun ($ 869.99) from them if they had it in stock.
When I told her that I would not be calling back nor doing business with them again, the girl told me «okay» and hung the phone up.
It could just be the lack of professionalism in the younger girl answering the phone, but I doubt it. I have to assume that the managers allow that to happen and are okay with it.
I will never shop at Denny dennis again.
Poor customer service and understaffed.

Excellent selection with a very knowledgable staff on firearms and other sporting equipment. Very casual, laid back staff which is what I like compared to the big box hustle and bustle. I’ve been going to Denny Dennis for over 30 years mainly for firearms and hunting gear and have always been treated well by the sales and support staff. Before you go to Gander Mountain, Cabela’s, or Bass Pro stop by Dennis.

I have been in this store several times and while they have great stuff the employees are typically either talking to each other or to the «regular» customers. They need to work on their customer service skills. I never recommend people going here.

In my humble opinion — this is the ONLY place to buy firearms and/​or supplies. Stan S. is spot on when he says the tone is «good old boys», but these «good ol’ boys» sure know their products in addition to the laws and regulations to keep you out of trouble.

I need ammo! The local Walmart was devoid of the caliber I was looking for, so the clerk directed me here. Denny’s place was well-​stocked. Not just with the trappings of a sporting goods store, but also with helpful staff. Next time my arsenal goes click-​click-​click, I’ll stop by here first before I patronize the big blue box.

Your basic sporting good/​gun shop. I like the staff here and I think it’s the prefered place to buy firearms and hunting supplies. The tone here is «good old boys» for sure.
