Torero’s Taqueria has the BEST Mexican food. I have been going there for 23 years and it still is my go to for Mexican food. The staff exceed expectations every time I go there and the food is beyond amazing. Don’t forget to get salsa from their salsa bar, all of them are delicious!

Definitely the BEST, AUTHENTIC Mexican food you’ll find in federal way! This place is a hidden gem and surprised there are even bad reviews. The customer service really exceeded my expectations and the food was even better. The employee walked over to serve me my food to my table and the food was nicely presented. You could tell they really take their time to satisfy their customers. I’m so happy to have found this place, now I don’t need to make the drive to Seattle for Mexican food!

A friend treated me out to lunch today during our lunch break. She recommended this place. We got our order to go and ate it elsewhere. The chicken and taco enchilada were good. However, the portion was small. For 2 meals, the total was $ 18+. I’ve had my fair share of Mexican eats, they’ve all been generous with the portion.

My favorite Mexican place ever! Seriously, order a bean and rice burrito with hot salsa next time, you will thank me! Sad now they are too far away from where I’m located. When in town I make sure to stop in and get my burrito fix!

The taco salad fajita is amazing– lots of beans and meat not filler like most taco salads I’ve had. Prices are competitive-I’ve eaten here before and remember the enchiladas being great too. Pretty authentic not Americanized Mexican. Yum :)

It’s not the worst Mexican food but I can’t recommend it. I was hungry and I only had a short time before the movie last night. We walked through the mall food court and decided on Mexican food. Since it’s usually fast and delicious. We ordered«Super Nachos» but they were far from super. For $ 10 I was expecting a big pile of nachos but I was sadly disappointed. What I relieved was a small, sad plate of nachos that would barely feed one person. The chips were sparse and the side of sour and guacamole were about a table spoon each. I should have read the other reviews, rookie mistake but I was in a hurry. From what I see, they skimp on all the portions even though they charge a lot and Mexican food is pretty cheap to buy and make. I won’t be going back and if you don’t want to over pay for mediocre then you shouldn’t waste your time or money here.

There’s Torero’s Mexican Restaurant if you want table service and Torero’s Taqueria in the food court if you want to grab something quick, I’ve had both. I went for a quick chicken burrito tonight, it was good and filling. I like their variety of salsas and sauces.

Seriously yuck… gives even an attempt at authentic mexican a bad name. With not many choices in the commons mall we came here thinking it’d be great… spent about $ 8.50 per burrito thinking they’d be huge… nope, about everage size with minimal meat inside. I had the fajita burrito and came across about 6 pieces, cube size pieces, of chicken and all were previously marinated in something disgusting and were so overcooked they were dry. The sauce on top of the burrito was far from anything edible. My burrito was mostly stuffed with rice and beans(beans in a fajita burrito?! weird) I didn’t take more than a few bites… the rest of the people in the group ordered something different and everything was inedible. Ordered a kids quesadilla and they used just 1 tortilla folded in half with very little cheese. This place just lacked in quality and their prices were out of this world… only good thing is a free refill on our soda.

Growing up in California, I was very used to awesome/authentic Mexican food. After almost 2 years, I finally found this place! Whenever I am near the Federal Way Commons, this will be my lunch spot. Great burritos, awesome beef and chicken, good veggie options, homemade tortillas and tostadas. Friendly service, fast, convenient, and reasonable.

They are very Friendly and they make you feel important since they remember you. It is reasonably priced and the food is tasty. It is a mall Mexican — not outstanding but pretty good overall.

Pretty good, their hot sauce is REALLY hot! I don’t really remember what the food was like because the only thing on my mind was how much I was crying from the hot sauce.

Went here last night with some family. Was quickly greeted and seated. The staff were very kind and we didn’t wait long for our chips and salsa. And had the service stayed this path they would have received more starts. There were 4 of us and they only brought 3 waters, and never brought another. We waited over 10 minutes to have a waitperson even come to our table. We ordered our food, was never asked if we wanted something to drink and then didn’t see our waitress until the check came. The food was excellent and I will go again, but not when I am in a hurry. We were using a certificate too and they were able to handle it with no problem.

I still have hope for a great Mexican restaurant in Seattle or greater Seattle. My boyfriend asked me was this in the running, uh no. For some reason they were not serving alcohol on the day we went. Fine by me since I hadn’t planned to drink but my boyfriend was not happy. I ordered the pork carnitas and he had the beef quesadillas. Our waitress came back about 5 times asking us about our order. A nice friendly pad might help you remember. My food was literally just ok. Obviously, I didn’t think much of it, because I lost my to go box. I have no clue where it went or if I even took it. oh well.

My favorite Mexican place nearby. Food is always amazing, and the great service never fails. I have a dietary issue that makes it hard for me to eat out, especially when it comes to Mexican, but I never have problems here!

Food here is very tasty. One of hubby and I’s favorite taquerias in the South end(Federal Way, Kent, Desmoines) area. Note: Don’t get this confused with the restaurant inside the Commons Mall. This is Toreros Taqueria in the food court of the Commons Mall. Food is very authentic I must say being Mexican myself and being raised eating nothing but Mexican food. They have Carne Asada Tacos and many other yummy items to choose from for Example: Tostadas, Buritos, Enchilades etc. Oh and they have Orchata for you Orchata lovers! Their food is so much better than the Toreros Mexican Restaurant on top of being so much better in price. The wait staff are very friendly and the service is pretty quick depending on the customer line. Definetly a spot worth trying!

I’m confused because the sign outside this restaurant says«Toreo’s» but the Commons’ directory lists them as «Torero’s» still… so I’ll just continue with my review. I ate here for my boyfriend’s sister’s birthday. It’s a very family-friendly environment, judging by the fact that basically every table had a baby at it. The food was decent, I ordered tacos — I liked the rice and the hot sauce, but the meat was kind of dry. I think everyone else liked what they ordered though. At the end of our meal, they brought out a piece of cake for the birthday girl and they made her wear a hat while they sang. I thought that was nice of them, the staff was very friendly though service was a little slow since they were pretty busy. The best thing I had was the strawberry margarita — it’s huge and it tastes like candy! I don’t like the taste of alcohol, so I’m really picky about my drinks but I would definitely consider coming back just for the margarita.
