This is my second review. First one was deleted for lack of I don’t know what. Someone cried? Don’t know. What I do know is; 1) this is basically your standard super wally world just with higher prices. 2) Customers at this location will knock you over if your in their way. 3) Customer service was decent in the meat department. 4) would I go back? In an emergency maybe. but I try an avoid areas with traffic cameras altogether…

I shop at Fred Meyer usually every other day or sometimes more. The store is nice and clean and the employees are great for the most part. Sometimes the prices are cheaper than other stores. Great specials in weekly ads. My ONLY complaint is the shopping carts! This store needs needs to replace most all of them. I asked someone why they didn’t get new carts and he said that Fred Meyer doesn’t want to spend money to get them. I was appalled to hear that comment I will however still shop at Fred Meyer. It’s really close to my home.

This is a huge mart to me and I was a bit overwhelmed while looking for something to buy. But Kate helped me a lot so I was very glad. And the cashier staff, Carly was also very kind and efficient. It was ‘very rare’ happy grocery shopping experience.

I shopped here for the first time in 3 years. I was given a gift card. I had forgotten how big Fred Meyer is. It was convenient to get a pair of shoes at the same place that I got some groceries. They also have two Redboxes at the front entrance. The cashier forgot to remove the security tag on the shoes I bought, so I had to go back the next day to get it removed. I got a new rewards card when I was there. When I went back and bought some groceries, I didn’t have the card with me but they claim you can enter your phone number instead like other grocery stores. It wouldn’t work at self-checkout. I pressed the button for a clerk to help; no one came. I pressed it again. Still no one. I yelled out a hey at the two cashiers and one walked over, annoyed to help me. She told me to enter my phone number, and I told her it didn’t work. She said to do it again, and I did. She looked at the scanner she brought over and read off a message that the phone number wasn’t found. I told her I got the rewards card the day before and thought it should work. She walked over to the other clerk and repeated what I had told her with attitude. The other clerk mumbled something. She walked back to me and said it takes 3 – 4 weeks for the rewards cards to be registered. I asked if she had a default card that I could use to get the discounts. Smacking her gum and rolling her eyes at me, she said no. Thanks for going the extra mile.

I’m the main shopper in my house and quite frankly, I don’t have the time nor inclination to go schlepping all over town for groceries, then to the hardware store(because I also own a home and it is constantly trying to fall apart), then to Rite Aid for prescriptions, over to PetSmart for pet supplies and whatever miscellany stuff ends up on my list over the week. I was raised in the golden age of the Internet — I’m impatient and want everything right now, dangit! For the most part, Fred Meyer accomplishes this nicely, and at prices that won’t leave your wallet whimpering and cringing in your purse(read: Whole Foods). The store is also of a higher caliber than Wal-Mart — employees don’t run away from you, there aren’t panhandlers outside and you aren’t fighting the smell of McDonalds permeating the store like some kind of terrible air freshener. Groceries you can find at Safeway you can usually find here at a couple of bucks less. 98% of the employees I interact with at this store(usually checkout, electronics, produce) are all pleasant and professional. I also like the fact that FM stacks coupons on top of sales, almost unheard of in this day and age. As of 03⁄2015FM also has free wifi, though it’s not the greatest. But you get what you pay for, people ;D They are probably sick of me at this point, but oh well.

NEVEREVERORDERANYTHINGFROMTHEIRBAKERY! I ordered simple, Mickey Mouse themed cupcakes for my sons birthday and what they gave me was a joke. It seriously looked like sunny-side up eggs on red frosting with oreos. What they made was more complicated than what I asked for. And to top it off, I asked them to make me a new batch and the bakery manager said that what they gave me was the best that they could do. With that, I just said forget it, you can keep these ugly cupcakes! It was seriously a joke. The pictures will make you laugh.

My husband and I go here because it’s practically across the street. Fred Meyer really is like 5 stores in one: A hardware store, a nursery, a department store, a home goods store, and a grocery store. Most even have a jewelry store. They are good at all, but not great. I like the flower selection in the summer and it’s a place to get cheap kitchen towels. Plus, they have a huge fire log selection — and who doesn’t love a fire on a chilly Fall day? Customer service at the register has always been great, but the people who just walk around the store are clueless.
