Food is waaaaay too salty! Ive ordered from them twice and im seeing that there are just way too little seasonings and waaaay too mch salt

Buffet thai… good sauces which looked homemade… a selection of fruits and desserts … lots of fried foods

So I’ve typically have good experiences here and give it a 4 out of 5 stars but today pretty much blew it for me. I had my wife call and order food on my way home from work to pick it up. It took about 20 minutes longer than expected which wouldn’t have been an issue but my order was wrong. All we ordered was phở and a side of rice and two fresh spring rolls and it totaled 17 $ I think the price was ridiculous for the small amount of food. I checked the bag for food and she gave me fried spring rolls instead of fresh which I didn’t want. I called to talk to them about it and the female working the front tried to convince me we didn’t order fresh rolls when we specifically asked for the fresh rolls and had a convo about not having meat in them. So I decided to let that go and continue home… I get home and the rice is barely half full and looks like someone’s left overs. Luckily my wife liked her phở but it wasn’t worth 12 $ I don’t think we will be back here after today. These are small issues but they build up to be bigger especially when you call to find out what happened and they try and tell you you’re wrong.

The first time I went to this location I loved it. I went during lunch and the buffet had a lot of great options. The fresh food kept coming out and it was great. BUT –The second time, sodium overload. There were hardly any fresh options as some dishes on the buffet had been sitting out almost empty for awhile. Everything I did eat had too much fish sauce or not enough flavor. I felt so dehydrated after eating here. I was so disappointed. I wouldn’t come back. :(

Great food and great service. The owners are a super nice couple and do a wonderful job– best buffet lunch in town!

It’s very spacious, buffet station was small but we wanted to oder off the menu anyways. My boyfriend had spring rolls which he said it was big and good portion. I had thai curry beef panang mild. the base of the curry was good but i was expecting more then just beef sliced. no veggies in it. just the the curry and small slices of beef. and a bowl of white rice. dont get me wrong it was good but expected a little more for that kind of price. our waitress was really nice and friendly.

Been here twice now and the only thing I’ve tried was the Pineapple Fried Rice! Its really delicious! I actually got the Thai hot! It might be spicy for a lot of people, but there is a little kick to it. I was expecting my face and tongue to be burning, but its good enough for me! I enjoy this place and its atmosphere!

Used to be my favorite plac to go to for lunch but not anymore. They seem to wait to cook until the last piece is gone. Last time, i had to wait 10 mins for the pad thai to get ready. And that was not the first time having to wait. Its just getting irritating, having to wait over and over again.

Fresh spring rolls, excellent. Pad Thai with chicken was very good, HUGE portion! Went on a Friday, early evening and it was dead. Prices were good, the service was very friendly!

I used to LOVE their lunch buffet and would go there all the time when I used to live in Fayetteville. I visited this place last month and I was so SO disappointed. I knew they changed management, but I didn’t think the food would change that much.
I can’t remember the exact specifics but the Pad Thai was so dry and flavorless, the salad was too salty and overall, the quality of the food was not that great.
I’m not sure if I’m going to come here for the lunch buffet again… It was decent, but not what it used to be. :(

They had a great variety at the buffet and it was good quality food, not greasy and dripping with butter. I love Thai food and thought the flavors were great! If you’ve never had Thai food before this would be a great way to sample multiple popular dishes for the price of what you would normally pay for one plate. The staff was attentive and kind.

It sucks !!! We used to like this place and come to eat at this place for years, it was great buffet and service. Don’t know what happened… The new ownership or what … Food doesn’t taste like Thai food and all the service sucks ! This restaurant has no Asian workers but Hispanics … How weird ! We will never come back again ! Ps: no one came to the table ordering our drinks the whole entire time ! :-(very bad experience!

Came here for a quick lunch and it was pretty good. Ordered papaya salad which wasn’t that flavorful, fried spring rolls, and the pad sa eew was good. Service was good, would recommend it.

While in town on business, I decided that I had a hankering for some Thai food. I checked the Unilocal reviews for a place pretty close to my hotel and decided to venture over to the Orchid Garden to give them a try. (BTW, on my visit, there was a check-​in deal for a discounted appetizer if you check in on Unilocal.I forgot to use it though.)
The place was not busy when I went in (maybe between 6:45−7pm). In fact, I only saw only one other person eating in at the time. There were several folks picking up orders to go though.
In any case, I decided to start with fried spring rolls, which were vegetarian. (For some reason, the non-​fried spring rolls had beef in them, which is why I skipped those.) The veggie spring rolls were good, as was the sweet/​spicy chili sauce for dipping.
Since this was my first time at Orchid Garden, I decided to go basic and just order the Chicken Pad Thai medium spicy (hard to screw that one up). I am glad that I didn’t order the highest spice level… the medium was enough to give the dish just enough kick without going overboard. The portion size was huge, definitely enough for 2 meals. I thought the pricing was reasonable for dinner… with the fried spring rolls (I think it was $ 2 for 2), a Blue Moon and the Chicken Pad Thai, I think my total was around $ 17 before tip.
The food was solid but certainly not the best Thai food I have ever had. However, it was not bad, hence the 3 stars. I am not sure I would go out of my way to come back, but if I happened to be in the area and looking for a quick meal, I would certainly consider eating here again or calling for take-​out.

The food here is excellent.
The Pad Thai and all of the chicken dishes are great.

The food here is fantastic, especially the curries. We’ve never been disappointed by the quality of the food. That being said, the daytime service is another story. In the past two months we’ve walked out twice because no one would acknowledge us. Once even after being seated for 15 minutes. I got buffet take out recently hoping to avoid the terrible day service and who I assume was an owner walked away from me at the register after running my credit card so she could have a phone conversation. On her way to the back she just waived at one of the other ladies to go over and finish for her. I had to explain I had already paid but just needed to sign my receipt.
Evening service is much better. So avoid this place for lunch and you’ll have a much better experience.

I have been a long time loyal patron here. And I was appalled… Disgusted and disappointed! Sitting kitty corner from me was a young couple who decided to change their baby’s diaper at the table. I said something to the waitress (one I don’t see during the lunch crowd), and she said, yeah, I saw that… If you saw that, you should have said something to them! It is a health code violation! Feces and urine, no matter where the source should not come on contact with your food!!! And they left the dirty diaper on the table. People… You can marry young and kids can have kids, but hygiene is something learned in kindergarten! Just pure laziness and no manners!
I had to eat my meal, which I paid for, while the man was lifting the legs to get better wipeage of the baby’s ass. Not at the dinner table please!
Orchid garden, I’m so disappointed that nothing was done. You have lost a loyal customer and I will be sure to warn others as well.

Orchid garden earns another star in my book. Excellent and authentic pad Thai, curries, and the drunken noodles O.M.G!!!

As far as take out goes its a 5! I would probably not eat in. I got the drunken noodles (perfect medley of flavors) with tofu and my husband got pad Thai (xhot). His nose and eyes are running as I type. $ 23 and we’ll have leftovers for days no question. If you’re looking for a new Asian place to try please give Orchid Garden a shot. You will be happy you did!

I have become quite the pad se ew connoisseur being a vegetarian in a smaller city like Fayetteville. That having been said, Orchid Garden takes the cake. Their pad se ew tofu is the best in the city. It is savory and has just the right amount of kick to keep me coming back time and again. I have even been known to drive 15 minutes out of the way to eat here. It is definitely worth it. My husband has enjoyed many of their dishes as well, and finds the spice levels to be great – he has enjoyed their hot foods!
Long story short: you have to try Orchid Garden if you’re a fan of Thai food.
