Great Yams and lemonade. I’m not much into souls food, but the smothered chicken was so bad. I got my rice drowned in gravy, I couldn’t finish it. Mac and cheese was ok. Portions are not big, they are picky with portions… Price is a bit high for what the portions. I ended up paying $ 15 and left sorta hungry. I would come back just to eat yams and FRIED chicken, but definitely not a gem. Owner was friendly.

They getting 2 stars because the food is good but one of the ladies in there got an attitude with me because I didn’t want the end of the soggy cabbage and told her I would wait for some more to come up. It was a new white lady I never seen before. Probably won’t go back because of the attitude…

Excellent restaurant!!! Wonderful customer service. I haven’t eaten that good in a long time! Collard greens, Baked Mac and Cheese, Fried Chicken! Omg, and Red Velvet that you can’t find anywhere else in Fayetteville! My husband, and I have found our new favorite!!!

I haven’t been here since 07 – 08 but remember this place like it was yesterday. Every time I ate at this place I would get the itis but it was well worth it! I moved back to WA state and work in Seattle and nothing compares that claims to be soul food. I don’t really like pork chops but love them here and their Mac ‘n cheese is what I would want for my last meal if I was about to sit on the electric chair! This place has good food, big portions and at great prices; enough said.

Fantastic! I had the catfish, cabbage and mac&cheese. I highly recommend this place. The staff/​owners are friendly, attentive and make you feel like family.

Stopped by looking for the old owners of the location. Decided to try it anyway. Ordered my food to go. Should have know there was a reason the place was empty at lunch time. Collard greens tasteless. Mac and cheese was worst. The only good thing was lemonade.

I stopped by for lunch and had fried chicken wings with some cabbage and rice and a price for cornbread. The only think I can compare it to is sand piper if you’ve ever eaten there but it’s not a buffet.
