The bartenders here think they have tenure and can act however they want. The service is inconsistant, they show obvious favoritism, and they refuse to step up to the standard of service set by other bars and restaurants in the area. A round bar and decent food doesn’t make up for what this place lacks in service and atmosphere.

Not much for atmosphere, but the best burger in Syracuse. I wouldn’t bring kid a there, but I love the banter of the bar tenders. Decent selection of beers. But definitely best burger in the area.

Three stars for the wings. Very good… this place and the Ugly Duckling in Manlius are the best I’ve had in Syracuse that are sort of the classic Franks Red Hot/​Crispy naked wing concept. The bar has a fair amount of ex-​high school jocks who never left town and probably never entered university… but the cheap food and beer prices are probably worthy of an evening here.

Went there with a few friends and my boyfriend. The food was pretty cheap. For ½ basket of fries for 2.50 you got a lot of friends. Drinks were a lot reasonable then other bars in town. will definitely be back for sure !

Great wings. Plenty of pool tables, dart boards and Tvs to keep you entertained. Not ridiculously loud like any other places. It’s a nice townie bar with cheap drinks that’s good for a night out with friends or to watch the game

Chicken tenders larger than chicken tenders you’ve ever seen before with excellent honey mustard dipping sauce.
Good draft selection.

I tell you what, after driving six hours from Washington, D.C. I was dying for the coldest beer in town, and boy o boy did J.P. Mulligans deliver. After reading a few reviews about a mythological bartender named Kevin I was sold. Unfortunately Kevin was no where to be found. Lucky for me Dave and Nick were there to fill in. What a combo, the modern day Jordan and Pippen of the bar industry. The only minus is the unpleasant waft of burnt popcorn, luckily the marvelous service, and witty banter over ride that. Five stars all around.

My favorite bar in Syracuse. Great wings, great bar tenders, shows all the games, good prices on food an drinks. Burgers and wings are fantastic, but beer selection could use a few more craft options. Far better than armory square with adults not kids

Hole in the wall bar… you could almost miss it when driving past. Circular bar with multiple pool tables, darts and a golf game. Bartender was attentive and friendly. Stopped in when we had some time to kill between a wedding and reception. Ordered the sampler and the wings were great!!! The chicken tenders were huge! It was a great deal for only $ 18. Would def come back if I was in the area again.

This review is only on first impression. Dirty, no one to sit you or tell you anything. A dive for sure. They may have a great burger but they do not have great customer service. We won’t even try to be back.

the atmosphere is really the one of the local place for local people that know each other since forever, when we entered everybody turned to watch, it felt like being in a movie for a second, but after that awkward moment everything was fine, the waiter was very friendly and laid back :)
the place would be great with a nice fresh coat of paint :)

Mulligans is usually my go to hang out. I love the bar and atmosphere! They have surprisingly great food, wings, burgers, mozzarella sticks, just good bar food. I love going there to meet up with friends and have some beers. I think the only thing that will keep me away is that the bartenders can be jerks sometimes.

This has quickly become my favorite bar/​restaurant in Syracuse’s Eastern suburbs. The food is excellent and cooked to your specifications. I highly recommend the wings, especially the hot bbq, cooked crispy. The burgers are also excellent and they maintain a wide selection of beers on tap.
Expect a small-​town, friendly atmosphere. By the time you leave after your first visit, the bartenders will be calling you by name, and they’ll remember it the next time you come in.
An all-​around great place to watch a game, catch a bite to eat or pop in for a random after-​work drink.

J.P. Mulligan’s has the best wings in town, and Kevin’s the best bartender in town. fantastic selection of beers. I’m always happy when I leave here, a perfect place to unwind and you don’t have to drive all the way into town. Also has an excellent selection of music on the jukebox.
