Briarwood Apartments

I like this place. My apartment is much larger than the one I was in before and a lot cheaper. They have a pool and fitness which is my favorite part. I work on base and it literately takes me minutes to get to work. This is one of the best places I’ve lived since I got stationed here.

This is probably the worst place in Fayetteville you could live. The apartments are old, full of black mold, insects, and all the appliances are from the 70s. The pictures on their website are laughably inaccurate. Maintenance requests were NEVER answered unless I hounded them for weeks about it. The pool may as well not be there. It’s locked most of the time, and when it is open, people from all the ghettos of Fayetteville show up and overcrowd it. The laundry machines are constantly breaking and eating your quarters/​credits and Briarwood does nothing to refund you. We often heard screaming, fighting, gunshots, etc at all hours of the night. The ladies working in the office put on a smile and friendly face when you show up, and immediately become rude and unprofessional after you sign your lease. We picked it because it was so cheap, and I would go bankrupt paying for a nicer place or live in a storage unit before I live here again. Simply the worst apartment complex in town.

Nice apartments! Very nice pool! 2 laundry rooms. Great place to call home. Close to everything including I95. Lots of resident events. Fitness room is easy to access anytime you want. Check them out, it’s worthwhile!

The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because the maintenance staff was always on time, friendly and got the job done. We stayed here for one year while my husband was stationed at Ft. Bragg.
Even though the prices were appealing I would’ve spent more on rent somewhere else that was cleaner, and more up to date. The bugs were horrible. I DO NOT DO COCKROACHES. The maintenance guys came to spray, and all was well for about 4 hours. We were told that it was a mixture of the other people in the building with us and the age of the apartments. Not okay.
Moving on… There’s a laundry center in the complex. Really scary, like out of a murder movie. There was one evening we came out and there was a cop running by with a gun and another following saying for us to find somewhere safe, because there’s someone armed on the grounds. SCARY.
