The food was alright, but the service was horrible. The staff automatically seated us on the bar side of the restaurant. Once we told our waiter we did not want drinks from the bar, his manner changed for the worse. He acted disinterested in serving us and impatient for us to eat and leave. Although we may have not been the typical fun weekend crew for that side, the rudeness was uncalled for and a good sign to not return.

Great authentic fresh Mexican food. The server we had was efficient and very pleasant. They were very busy but we didn’t have to wait long at all for our table. It was well worth the wait and will go back again.

By far the best restaurant I’ve been to in the Farmington area. The food was excellent and we did have a small problem with the server but the manager took care of it immediately and the server apologized. I will definitely come back!

Ok we’ve tried this great location four times. This will be the last.
1). it’s noisy and usually crowded (great location).
2). The salsa is probably from a can.
3). They were understaffed. 20 minutes to get our order
a. Drinks ran dry twice — never offered water
b. Never offered more chips OR salsa
c. 25 minutes from the time we finished our meal to the time we got our waiters attention to get our check.
d. Extra long time checking out just to get a receipt because I paid cash.
Food — three stars
Service — 1.5 stars
Ambiance — 1 star
Location — 4 stars
Overall — we’re done with El Tapatio in Farmington. There are other better choices.

Just tried to get lunch here for Cinco, I think their special today was cold cheese dip and terrible service! Can’t even get it right on your national holiday. Be proud.
