White Castle

Can you say SLOW… this place is slower that molasses on a hot summer day. the service is crappy and the attitude coming put of this place is palatable, unlike the burgers? what happened to white castle?

Worst experience ever. I went with my uncle to white castle on 2÷22÷15 at 12:40 pm which is a Sunday. My first problem was that I could not understand the worker taking my order. The speaker was so choppy and broken up. After we got through the order, we had two cars in front of us. We thought it would go pretty quick. NOPE!!! WAITED 18 MINUTES!!! We order 13 sliders, a medium clam strip, and a sack of onion chips. Takes two seconds to dip the clams and onions in the fryer if they’re not already made. And the sliders are like a half inch thick so they’ll be done in under a minute. No reason to take 18 minutes to do a simple task. Bottom line is don’t come here. But I don’t know, it might just be a bad shift crew. So its your choice.

Great staff. Good food, although I only ate chicken rings, I don’t like burgers. The other four in my group smashed their burgers, so I’m sure to burger lovers the burgers are great (: Floor was really sticky around pop machine and the floor under one table had a cluster of ants :/​otherwise pretty good (:

I had a hankering for some WCs after polishing off a few beers at the Telegraph cruise Saturday. The burgers were what you expect from WC: steamed goodness. WC has that unique taste that can’t be duplicated.
Midnight drive throughs are usually pretty dicey, but this one delivered my burgers quickly and with a smile. Much appreciated because it can’t be fun working the graveyard shift and dealing with derelicts all night. There’s a special place in hell for drunks who hassle fast food workers at 3 am.

Grew up on WC and now that I live on the west coast and cant get anything but the frozen ones, they tastes even better! Just got done visiting family and ordered 2 crave cases while i was home! Plus you get that added bonus of being totally locked and loaded for anyone who dare try to have anykind of farting contest/​war w/​you!!!

I go in for 8 double cheeseburgers with everything then hours later it is
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTT !!!

A good White Castle. Read Tom’s review if you want an idea of how the burgers are. I kinda wanna focus on the service, since it was an odd situation.
We were filming at Grand River and 7 Mile (I think, the shopping plaza with kids 4 less. Not my area) and had about 15 people on set. This meant we needed a good amount of food. Someone suggested White Castle, and while some of us groaned and loathed what our bodies were going to feel like tomorrow, we went with it.
About 8−9pm, I show up at White Castle with one of my friends. 2 Crave Cases (one regular, one cheeseburgers), 4 sacks of fries and a few special orders later, we racked up a bill at White Castle that just made me chuckle. The staff here didn’t complain, they were absolutely friendly and honestly, thats more than I can ask of them. Sometimes when we’re in a pinch, we have to do this and I always appreciate the friendly service.
The burgers were on par, if not a bit better than the last time I’d had them. This is definitely a good White Castle, worth checking out.

It’s time to:
Fluff the sheets on your significant other,
Chase your dog away because you smell worse than him,
Let loose in an elevator and blame it on someone else,
Lock the windows so your daughter can’t roll down… then say «Oops».
OK, you get the picture. It’s WC time.
Sometimes it’s worse than others. It’s when there’s extra steamy grease on the bottom bun. It’s when you get that first dollup of onions that is so big you can’t even taste the burger. Strong, I say na, na.
This is a great option as compared to my favorite slider joint Greene’s or Telway when on the east side. What else can I say. I grew up on WC and still love them today. This location is fairly fast. On average pretty fast (unless stuck behind someone with a two Craver Case request). Staff is always friendly and welcoming no matter what time of day. For the person on a diet they have the saver sacks now. Only three WCs smaller fries and smaller drink. This is how I am weening off of them, slowly.

Yah, I know!
But a review is necessary. I’ve found something I really like here! (now admitting to eating here all along, late night snacking, while waiting to find the next great restaurant to review)
New Fried Egg and Sausage Patty on Wheat Breakfast Sandwiches. (Homer would drool right here) They are pretty awesome.
The egg is cracked and fried on the grill AFTER you make your order. A sausage patty that is much larger than the WC burger patties is topped on your crispy edged perfectly fried egg. Topped with american cheese. The wheat bread is toasted by order! Uhhh! The bread is buttered, so you get a smuckery, crunchy, gooey, crispy combo of a breakfast sandwich.
I paid 1.79 for this foil wrapped treat. I did indeed enjoy my morning breakfast. And you need not refer to this as a ‘slider’. Its a two handed meal.**
