Uno Pizzeria & Grill

Second time here the pasta was overcooked, but everything else good. Excellent chicken parm would get again. The pizzas are also amazing that was our 3^rd visit. Thanks UNOs for apologizing for this bad experience you have won a customer for life.

We ordered online, which states food delivery in 45 minutes, give or take a few minutes. Over one hour after placing the order, still no food. I called the restaurant, the manager put me on hold and came back after 3 – 4 minutes to say our order had «just left with the driver».
After 45 minutes, we still had no food. We live 2 miles away; the drive to the restaurant is only 6 – 7 minutes. It seemed obvious that our online order was not ready the first time I called and had not «just left with the driver». (Being lied to about the order being on the way was an insult to injury and my intelligence!) Since it was now and hour and half since I placed the order, I called a second time to cancel it. I spoke with the manager again and he said the driver was on the way (again) and said he would refund our order.
A minute after hanging up, the driver pulled up. I could see when he opened the door, the bags were in the passenger seat of his car, not in an insulated carrier in the back. He brought the two bags of food to the door, holding them in one hand and I could see the entrée containers were side-​ways in one bag. I handed him the coupon, as required via the website. His response was, «That’s it?» He seemed to expect payment, but I told him we had paid online and he quickly left. Once I un-​bagged the food, the entrees were all mixed together on one side of the container and was cold. (I took pics, but can’t upload to add to this review.)
I had eaten in the restaurant the week before and had a semi-​pleasant experience, although the stuffed chicken entrée I had was missing the feta cheese as listed on the menu and wasn’t stuffed so much as a piece of chicken over some spinach. The mashed potatoes had a hard crust on top. The service by Angela was great. I was offered a coupon, which I used for the delivery order mentioned above. The savings was not worth the aggravation of the delivery experience. I will possibly go back to eat in the store (for strike 3?), but the delivery service was a bust!

My bro and I were recovering from some networking and after some consideration we decided to stop to Pizzeria Uno. Honestly, it was an off the cuff decision made partly because he was looking for some pasta /​pizza and I was trying to keep it lower key. Uno was on the route between the networking event and the homestead. This Uno is in a cluster of restaurants where Gallows Rd & Rt 50 meet. Most of the time when I stop over here it is to visit Chevy’s or Sweetwater (when the Silverados is packed). It is not that I don’t like Pizzeria Uno or had a bad memory, it was more that it was just not a place I ever thought of. That said, going forward that may be changing. I might even give them a HH try sometime in the near future, although for this visit we did stick to the eats.
We started with the zucchini fritters. I have to admit I was skeptical, it was something I had stayed away from since a bad experience at another place about a year ago. I am happy to report these were pretty good. Very crisp and well cooked, although we both agreed they needed a little salt.
My brother got the chicken parmesan and was happy with his decision. He started with a side salad which got a thumbs up. I tried the broccoli cheese soup and thought it was tasty. My personal pizza was the Shroom which is a white pizza with spinach and mushrooms. I really liked the crust. Hubby swung in later and ordered the pepperoni pizza. We ordered the Reese’s dessert to wrap it up, definitely took care of my sugar craving for a while, maybe even a long while. In the future I might be more realistic and stick with the mini-​desserts.
Everything was good. The crust in combination with friendly staff made me a fan. Shout out to Angela, our waitress, as well as the woman she was training.
Likely we will return and looking forward to trying some drinks with good eats and friendly /​attentive staff.

Sunday night at 830pm and called to place an order for pick up. A woman answered the phone and asked me to hold when I told her I wanted to place an order. 10 mins later, I thought it was strange I was still on hold since Sunday’s usually aren’t that busy so late at night.
I hung up. Normally, I’d have found somewhere else for take out at that point, but a friend was in the hospital and Uno’s is what she was craving.
The guy who answered seemed pleasant. When I asked him if it was busy there, he said «no, not at all.» I told him I had been on hold for 10 mins and he seemed surprised but didn’t seem to care. Was more interested in upselling me on their pizza specials.
Roll eyes. They need to train their employees on service.

Really nice staff here. Great place to take the kids. They always treat us well and though it is a chain, we’ve enjoyed the food here many times.

Food is always great, filling and good size portions. Not to mention the bartenders are awesome Raz and Chris keep it up! :)

I know it’s just pizza and it’s a chain restaurant but this is amazing. It is my favorite go to comfort food. The deep dish pepperoni here is literally my favorite. I don’t eat it often but whenever I do I remember how much I love and why I look forward to it.
I am also a huge fan of the buffalo chicken salad. Again not healthy really but still delicious comfort food.
So if you’re looking for really reasonably priced comfort food then this is your place. They also have great carry out order deals and other specials so make sure to check their webpage.

I’ve been meaning to update my review considering I’ve been back a few times since the last time I wrote the other review. Uno contacted me after my last review and begged me to come back (ha, well they did). I’m glad they did, since now I guess I’ve become like a «regular» I guess?
Anyway, happy to have given it a second shot. I do love pizza afterall. Also they have Victory beer, which makes me happy.

Been coming here for years. Always have had good service, always have been pleased with the food. Used to be called «Chicago Pizzaria and Grill», now they’ve dropped the «Chicago» — it’s not going to get you Giordano’s golden Chicago pie, but it’s great pizza that at least tries to be somewhat true to the Chicago style. And great ambiance. And great service. For true Chicago pizza, you’ll still have to fly to Chicago.

The food and service here are excellent!!! The manager Kelly and our server Ashley had us feeling like we were part of a family, we went back a few days later so we could eat more pizza and see our new friends again!!!

The food is over price and terrible. If you want pizza your better off going to Pizza Hut. The service was terrible and not worth it at all. It tries too hard to live up to Chicago and fails miserably.

The food was just ok. The service was fabulous! Our server Ashley was absolutely fabulous, friendly and on top of everything. The man helping her with drinks and refills was great as well! Our server even earned a fist bump from my 4 year old daughter! We will be back!

Pizza is great, but let’s cut to the chase… Adriana provided a level of customer service I have not had in MONTHS.
From the time we sat down, she was accommodating, energetic, and happy to deal with all the special requests that the uppity northern Virginia-​ers regularly have.
I’m usually indifferent about pizza… UNO is of course great, but I WILL be returning to visit Adriana.

Get the rattle snake pasta, very good!

Mediocre food, and even worse service. Service was explained as «there was some confusion…» But even after they cleared up their confusion (over which table had which servers), they remained unattentive. The manager didn’t even know which server had our table. The sign, which I should have read when first sitting down, was realizing how many tables were un-​bussed (empty plates and glasses everywhere) and people requesting the manager.
This is a Saturday evening at 7pm. A peak time. Stay away! The food is not good enough to compensate for this service level.

This review is long overdue but better late than never right?
My visit here seems to always be later in the evening when it’s not too crowded. My go-​to order is a pepperoni, sausage, and green pepper deep dish pizza. They have never let me down… they always deliver the perfect pizza. I have always dined in and had great service. I would expect service to not be the greatest since it’s always late when I visit, but to my surprise, the wait staff has been great to me during my visits.
So the best part of my visit is finishing with a deep dish sundae. OH-​EM-​GEE! This thing is delish and no matter how full I am, I HAVE to have it. I go for an extra scoop of ice cream to make it that much more great. To save some grace, this is enough to share, but hey… if you want to enjoy all to yourself… please do! You deserve it!!!
Overall, I love the deep dish pizza because being from Mid-​West, this is as deep dish as I can get in the area. It’s not true Chicago style, but boy is it good.

Decided to eat lunch here today and was pleased to announce that it was delicious. I’m not sure why some of these locations are closing down? I ordered a pep pizza and shared it was a coworker. The wait staff was kind and treated us well. Will be returning to this location ASAP.

I came here for dinner with my boyfriend. I started with the wedge salad which was very good. Then he had the chicken Milanese sandwich and mashed potatoes. He liked them both very much. I ordered an individual deep dish pizza. It arrived luke warm at best. The waiter took it back and brought the same pizza back 10 min later. Then after I was finished eating that pizza he had made me a whole new one. I wish I had known that was coming as well so I wouldn’t have eaten toppings that were overcooked. I appreciate they did try to rectify the situation. The staff was very courteous and friendly.

What happened to the food here?! It use to be very good, but now it’s gone down here! My wife and I came here for dinner tonight, and were seated right away and given menu’s to look over.
I decided to get the 2 for $ 12.00 meal which was a Wedge Salad and a personal Pepperoni Pizza. My wife ordered a Chicken Parm. with pasta. Our waiter, David I believe was his name, came over and asked if we wanted anything to drink. My wife got a glass of water with lemon, and I ordered a IPA. They come over a couple of minutes later, and David left us.
He returns a few minutes later and takes our order. I noticed that he kept going over to the tables that had anywhere from 4 — 6 people, and fawning over them. My salad finally comes out, and David rushes back to take care of the large tables, only leaving one napkin at the table. My wife and I looked at each other like this is suppose to be for the two of us?!
Our food comes out a short time later by a different wait person while David is taking care of the other tables, and it wasn’t that busy in there. There were like maybe 4 tables all together including us that were in there. We start eating our food, and I noticed that the pizza I ordered was the same size personal pizza that Uno’s has in the grocer’s freezer! It was that small! I remember it use to be as big as the plate they would serve it on, but it was very small! My wife’s dinner didn’t look that great either! The pasta was covered in a sauce that tasted it was from a jar with no flavor at all! The chicked, if you can call it that, was dry and the two pieces that were on there were from the freezer as well!
The food and service has gone down hill now, and it’s a shame for both use to be very good. They’ve just lost a couple of customers now, and I hope that you don’t eat here for the food is not worth the price that you pay for. We could have made better if we had decided to make it ourselves for half the price for what we paid for.
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for pizza and pasta. Do not eat here for you will be disappointed by the food and the service this location has to offer.

It’s been a very long time since I last went to an Uno’s. Several years, in fact. And it’s changed just a little bit. It’s now not just different flavors and toppings and crusts of pizza. Burgers and salads and sandwiches. Very glossy menus. And it took me a while to find the dang page that was just pizza. Because that’s what I wanted.
I found the «Farmer’s Garden» pizza on the menu and placed my order for that. It took less than 10 minutes before it was delivered (with shakers of parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes) and in that time, my drink had been refilled and I’d had time to look around.
The pizza was good. Thick flaky crust, as I would expect for a Chicago style deep dish. Lots of toppings. Easy to eat and enjoy, already cut into four slices and my waitress put one on the plate for me.
Not exactly cheap for lunch, but it’s a filling meal and it’s very tasty.

It has been years that I stepped foot in to an UNOs and I actually was positively surprised. New menu items like the «Fifty shades of green» salad and a good craft brew selection make this a new option for my post tennis dinner selection.
