Worst food I have ever had. Staff is terrible, rude and shady. Was overcharged on my card and they refused to deal with it so my bank had to take care of it. Whatever you do, DON’T GOHERE!!! This place should be SHUTDOWN. What a disgrace to the restaurant industry. So incredibly disgusted.

DONOTGOHERE!!! I’m not sure how it’s even possible to mess up something as simple as fajitas but boy was I proved wrong. They didn’t have any condiments INCLUDING cheese(??!) and regardless of how big or small your party is(I was with two other people) they automatically add on a twenty percent tip! Plus the services was terrible and they charged our card twice and refused to deal with it. If I could this place a lower rating I would!

Walking into La Paz was a bit like walking in to a private party, the music was loud, the bar was packed and the dining room was empty. We got seated by the super nice hostess/waitress. My iced tea was from a mix and his corona had a lemon so we were a little trepidatious. Then the crunchy chips and tasty salsa showed up, followed by our delicious food. The pork and cheese pupusa were delicious, crunchy and tender. The beef burrito had amazingly tender braised beef and tasty rice and beans. We’ll definitely go again.

I was just there tonight with a friend, my first time there… I ordered 3 pork pupusas and my friend ordered the pork chimichanga. First the pupusas had no flavor, totally tasteless! The chimichanga pork meat had bone and cartilage fragments… not good at all! I had chimichangas and pupusas before at El Tolteco in Burke and Blanca’s in Falls Church City and both placed did an excellent job! Unfortunately La Paz Restaurant did a pretty bad job! It almost sounds like they have an inexperienced cook there that doesn’t know what he/she is doing! The place was kind of dirty… not well kept, the only good thing is the very pretty waitress there… that’s about it!

Tasty authentic Salvadorean food at a good price. We love getting the Pupusas, both cheese and meat, which are very cheap at $ 2 something each. They are similar but more flavorful than a quesadilla and made of a corn rather than flour bread. They are served with salsa and cut lettuce that are a nice pairing. The place is generally desserted in the restaurant section but the bar always has a few guys sitting there drinking. Saturdays have Kareoke but all Spanish songs. There is a jukebox, and the music can be very loud at times, mostly old Spanish ballads but also some rap. Be aware that the waitresses are very nice, but speak little to no English. This is not a problem for us as we speak Spanish, but expect to do some pointing at the menu if you do not. There is always plenty of parking in the lot.

Went here on a weekend around lunchtime while driving through the area. The fajitas were great and I would highly recommend. When we arrived there weren’t many customers dining. The bar had a half dozen guys sitting at it, with no noticeable conservations going on. The music was somewhat loud, but not too loud to be an issue. One thing we found amusing was a guy who was hunched over on the table who was shitfaced. He would occasionally open his eyes, but would then go back to pass out mode drooling on his shirt. Good food with goofball customers. I’ll return

I tried this place randomly after doing some shopping in the area. I was looking for some authentic El Salvadoran and thats what I got. Ordered a fried trout and a couple of beers. Its obviously a hangout for the local latin neighborhood complete with soccer on the tele and cowboy hat wearing old-timers. The waitresses were very nice and attentive. The chips were stale, the fish was tastey, the beer was cold, the atmosphere pleasant. Not sure if I’ll eat there again, but overall a solid 3 star experience.
