Great atmosphere for rug shopping– helpful, without hard sell. Their regular prices seem reasonable, but we went during a sale and got an amazing 8×10 rug at an even more amazing price.

Great shopping experience!!! Very good prices (a wide range for all budgets) and Jimmy was a great sales person. He was there when we needed him, but he let us browse in peace otherwise (instead of high pressure sales). We left with three beautiful rugs for our recently remodeled basement/​party room. I’ve lived in Northern Virginia since 1979. .. and since, gone through a lot of life changes – and living spaces. I’ve bought area rugs in department stores, oriental-​carpet specialty stores, fly-​by-​night liquidation auctions, wherever. But long ago, this place evolved into my go-​to, all-​purpose store, whenever I need a carpet. At the very least, it’s where I always start – because the selection is good (at a variety of price points), and the value is competitive enough to be my «measuring stick,» if I decide to widen my search to other stores.
Their personnel are also great to work with – flexible and prompt service, if you wish assistance (or, if you’re like me – a loner browser – they stay out of your way… no pressure). Love this place!

Just so awesome. After searching everywhere, we stumbled across this on a google search. Exactly what we needed– a rug showroom with great affordable selection. You don’t have to pay thousands for a nice rug. The manager/​owner/​older gentlemen was helpful and friendly. Thanks!

We bought a 9’x13’ rug here for our living room after casual searching for several months. We found what we wanted pretty quickly after walking in so the saleswoman didn’t have to do much work. After being told it would arrive in 1 – 2 weeks, it actually took 3. After I called to inquire about the arrival date, the manager was very apologetic, followed up with me throughout the third week with updates from their distributor and even threw in a 4’x2’ rug for free. We’re very happy with our purchase and the service. Will definitely come back.

I’ve purchased a couple of rugs from here before, but my last visit prompted this review.
I went to ZGallerie in Tysons and fell in love with a rug there. At $ 300 plus shipping and a hassle to return (had to ship back to the warehouse myself), I went to Bakersfield. I was shocked they carried the exact same rug as ZGallerie AND at $ 50 less, AND in stock. So, I went ahead and purchased it.
The sweet sales lady «Heaven» told me about their low price guarantee: If I find it anywhere else in any store, even online, I’d get the difference plus 5%. Wha-​what? This, of course, became a fun Sunday night challenge for me. I searched online and found the same rug for even cheaper and sure enough, the sales manager called me the next day and issued a refund over the phone for the difference plus 5%. You can’t get better customer service than that.
On a different note, I bought another rug at Neiman Marcus and ended up finding the exact same one at Bakersfield at a fraction of the cost. I’m just going to quit looking for rugs anywhere else. Bakersfield prices and customer service are unbeatable.

It seems I’ve been to alot of rug stores lately trying to find just the right sized and right looking rug. The rugs at this store are not really high end or low end, but somewhere in the middle. At least that is my perception when comparing prices and quality at other places I checked out. The prices on oriental style rugs can border on outrageous at some stores but the prices at this store seemed reasonable for what you are gettting. The sales staff was friendly and helpful. The three star rating comes mainly from the selection. That being said I did end up purchasing two smaller rugs. I would say they are worth checking out if you are nearby. They are located a good distance and alot of stoplights from the beltway. Warning: Do not attempt to get to this store during rush hour. Go on the weekend or during off hours. The traffic in this part of town is hellish after about 2:30PM.

It’s a great store and they have a great selection to choose from. I bought a small rug for $ 150. The one I chose initially didn’t go well with my furniture so I returned it and picked a different one. It’s really great that they let you try a rug for a week.

My husband and I recently bought a home and needed to outfit it with some rugs as we have hardwoods throughout. We often pass this place to/​from running errands, so we decided we would stop in. So glad we did!
The storefront doesn’t convey this, but the showroom is really large and very open feeling once inside. There is a wide variety of rug styles to choose from (transitional, oriental, modern) and most are hanging from racks so you can look through them easily. We also really appreciated the customer service… the employees were willing to pull rugs from the bottom of piles and help us compare different patterns, etc at the drop of a hat. Also, they were on top of their game and realized when we needed a couple minutes to ourselves to talk options over.
The best part was that we were allowed to take the rug home to try in our house for a week. If we didn’t like it… just bring it back for a full refund. We took advantage of this and changed our mind a couple of times after seeing it in our home.
We will definitely be returning.
