I brought in an antique Kashan rug in that was cleaned and fully restored to what it would have looked like back in the early 1900’s. Wow, was I impressed with the workmanship and attention to detail that was put into this restoration. The owner gave me a history lesson on the rug and provided a clear understanding of what is involved in cleaning and restoring. He was upfront on the cost and work involved. I couldn’t be happier. The real gem here is the artist himself.

I did not know much about oriental rugs before buying, so decided to go for a smaller shop… hoping to get better customer service. This little shop in downtown Falls Church definitely met all of my needs as a first time buyer. The owner did not pressure us to buy, but explained to us in details about picking, maintaining, cleaning, and appreciating oriental rugs. The owner is very knowledgeable about what may or may not work for the space. Hand-​made oriental rugs are not cheap, but after comparing with another store nearby, we ended up back at Art Connection and made the purchase. Very satisfied and had to share.
