We had reservations for dinner on a Wed night but when we arrived they acted surprised, confused and actually quite put off, even though we were clearly on the reservation list at the desk. They were remarkably unwelcoming in many ways but eventually gave us a table, water and menus then proceeded to completely ignore us for the next 25 minutes. The server did manage to help the other two tables in our section in the back room but not our group of five for some inexplicable reason. We were all well groomed, well dressed, not loud and hadn’t been drinking, so not sure why we were treated so poorly. When we finally caught the server’s attention and asked if we could order a bottle of wine while we waited she indicated she was too busy! After 25 minutes of being rudely ignored we finally walked out without a word. I for one will never return which I’m OK with because the place really had a musty and unclean odor to it which isn’t exactly appetizing.

What a rare find to come across such a jewel at a crossroads while just out for a drive. Brandon, their server/bartender, makes wonderful drinks, is super friendly and attentive. The fondue with carmelized onions and bacon is sooo good, especially for $ 5 on HH. We also enjoyed the steak bites in demi glaze. We try to stop here every time we go to the Falls or Duthie Hill.

I had the wild mushroom risotto. Tasted good, but there was nothing wild about the mushrooms. They were straight out of a can. This came with a very small salad. The other person had dungeness crab mac and cheese. Also good, but it didn’t come with any salad or side. Both entrees were close to $ 20 each. These seemed like very high prices for simple food and nothing on the side. The service was friendly, but a bit confused. The server kept delivering other people’s orders to our table, then realizing her mistake. Might go back, but would probably look for some place cheaper if we were ordering casual food.

Went in recently after a friend I was with suggested it. We were hanging out having beer and she said this place should have a decent selection. Uhhh no. Not even close. To be fair, this isn’t an alehouse or brewery, it’s a family restaurant. I didn’t know that. When I heard Roadhouse, I thought it was more of a bar environment. It’s not a bad little joint. Not high society but nicer than Denny’s. Waitress was prompt and plenty friendly. No issues there. I really don’t remember the menu or what I had to eat, so it must have not been very memorable. It if was bad, I would definitely remember. We both finished our plates and had no complaints though. I would go back if hungry enough and I just happened to be in the area. It’s just an alright place, not bad, not great, but neither of us were put off by it. Clean, well lit, nice décor, bartender and waitress were very pleasant, the place was pretty dead so it was quiet, I liked that. I gave it a 3 star rating because this is not my usual type of hang out. I’m not into family style diners. That said, it is worth checking out if you happen to be in the area.

This is my family’s favorite food spot! We usually come here for breakfast, but have had lunch and dinner, too! All so yummy. Our favorite is the mushroom omelette. So good. The staff is very friendly and remembers us. If you are anywhere near here, you HAVE to stop by.

Truly awful lunch. Not only did we wait for a really long time for our food(when there was maybe one other table in the restaurant), when it arrived, it was cold. Ruben: cheese wasn’t melted, at least half of the sandwich was COMPLETELY cold. And the dressing in it was terrible. The ranch dressing on the salad should be called garlic ranch. Black bean burger: not hot. Cheese unmelted. Bun was stale. The spice in the burger was described as odd and foul. Salad with that one was ok(she ate it). Cheese Burger: ordered medium, was well done, but lukewarm. Otherwise ok. The fries were hot and good. And, the waitress never did a check back on the food. When she came to pick up the almost full plates, all she said was«would you like a box»? We will NOT be back.

I didn’t think it was possible to screw up a burger. But it happened. For $ 13, I would expect a halfway decent burger. Nope. Absolutely no flavor and limp fries. Waiter tried hard and was super nice but food was terrible and they were severely under staffed for a Sunday night.

Although the food was better than most places, the experience was not. Unfortunately, just like my previous visit almost a year ago, the wait time was still awful(40+ minutes after ordering) even though it was in the middle of the day and there were plenty of empty booths. One new development was overhearing the waitress ask if the cook could make a BLT(via my personal request) and he angrily berated her for asking, and loudly enough for me to hear their entire conversation from my booth. Really ruined my experience. The waitress was very nice. Seems like a kitchen issue.

In the class of «diner», this is a cut above that. Nice, good comfort food, with a dash of their own style. Today, we were not particularly hungry. We started with the Crispy Spiced” Calamari. It had an light, extra crispy coating, perfectly done. I wouldn’t consider it spicy, in any possible way, however. On top of that, it came with a creamy(mayo?) dish, which also didn’t do anything to add any zing. Still, quite good, for what it was. As my second visit, I was reminded that the Steak & Mushroom Mac was the thing to get! So I got it again. … and it didn’t disappoint. Properly cooked macaroni in a rich cheese sauce with mushrooms and hot juicy chunks of steak, medium rare. A pretty hearty dish, in itself, this Mac and cheese is not just for kids!

Ok, I’m giving four stars because of the server and the atmosphere. The food was alright, so it didn’t deserve the fifth. My first impression was low, the décor was dark and there weren’t a lot of people in the place so I thought hmmm… Am I wasting my time? The server totally made up for it. He was super friendly and was on spot with the service. The kids grilled cheese were fine, my salad was actually better than the north bend bar and grill(Cobb minus the cheese). I think one of the best parts was that we weren’t rushed out of there. I felt like we had an opportunity to have a real dinner that wasn’t slammed into our faces in 10 minutes flat. I was worried because the kids can be crazy in a restaurant longer than 11 minutes… But we survived and it was so pleasant. Thanks for a great meal.

Great place to stop for breakfast after leaving Seattle to see the falls. Loved the look and atmosphere. We had great service from our waitress. The food was good and very filling. We would come back here again if we were out this way. Sorry no pics we were really hungry and forgot to take them.

Their garden scramble and biscuits are delicious! My fiancé loved his ricotta pancakes. Chipotle veggie burger is also great. This place is really unexpectedly good given it’s pretty remote location. Service is great. Highly recommend!

My husband and I were staying at Treehouse Point for our wedding anniversary and decided to have dinner at the Fall City Roadhouse Inn. The establishment is gorgeous but the décor is confusing and detracts from the beauty that is this giant historic home. The wood work is stunning and the ceilings and lighting fixtures are incredible. Given all of the beauty this home naturally holds it is odd that the owners have chosen to decorate it in the way that they have. The decorations are a mix between a 50’s diner, a hunting lodge and a Denny’s. There are small metal 50’s diner replica signs throughout the restaurant. There is a giant wooden Tully’s coffee sign hanging near the fireplace as well as fishing artwork such as paintings and wooden carvings sporadically throughout the place. The most tacky of the decorations is by far the awkward 2 color painted designs on every wall. It’s a combination of painted stripes and circular flower designs. All of these decorative mishaps take away from the beauty of this building and they don’t do justice to the unique history of the building. We started off with an appetizer which we both agreed was the best part of our dinner. The appetizer earned the 2 star rating I have chosen for Fall City Roadhouse Inn. We had the Makers Mark Bacon Fondue. It was a creamy, cheesy fantastic heaven sent dish for a person that loves comfort food. My Husband had the Meatloaf. It came with 3 large slices of Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and seasoned vegetables. The potatoes and vegetables were good but nothing to be overly excited about. The meatloaf however had a very rubbery texture that was reminiscent of a hungry man TV dinner. It was clear that the meatloaf had been made long before my husband ordered it. Then it had been sliced and obviously reheated and grilled to char the sides of the meatloaf. The gravy that was on the potatoes and meatloaf tasted like brown gravy from a mckormick packet. Needless to say he did not take a to go box. I ordered the steak and mushroom macaroni and cheese. I asked for the steak to have no pink on the inside and it was red and bloody. After I removed the steak the macaroni and cheese was ok but again nothing to be excited about. We never received our free truffle pop corn that we were supposed to receive for making reservations ahead of time. We chose this place to eat dinner based on an article I read raving about Chef Ben and the meatloaf. I wouldn’t recommend eating dinner here. Maybe they have a better quality breakfast or lunch menu and kitchen staff . Updated March 4, 2016 Reply to Scott I posted a few pictures of an article showing a Chef Ben. I’m not sure why a reply to my review from Scott claims to not have a Chef Ben and to never have had a Chef Ben. I wrote in my original review that this place was once a home. I should have been more clear. When I said that I was referring to the websites talk of the history of this gorgeous building. I added a screen shot of the part of the history I was referring too. It was once a home for teachers needing boarding. I apologize for not being more clear on that. To reply to Scott’s comment about my steak not being bloody he is right that it wasn’t bloody in this photo. The staff had taken it back and cooked it longer. It went from bloody to a rubber texture. So I didn’t eat it. The Mac and cheese was good but the steak was not. The meatloaf was awful hands down. Awful. It doesn’t matter how it was cooked because the end result was not good. My husband is one of the least picky eaters and did not eat very much of his meatloaf. We liked the cheese dip very much. It was delicious. We were told by a guest at a table near us that we would get truffle popcorn since we made a reservation. So maybe there was confusion on our part with that. I can’t say much about the décor that I haven’t already said. It’s confusing and detracts from the beauty this building has and could have if decorated in a different manner. Scott stated how a team of designers and architects etc. put their hearts into the design of this place. My review was not trying to hurt those that worked on this building. It was an honest review. Removing all of the tacky design elements would bring so much more beauty to this building. The night that we ate dinner at Fall City Roadhouse Inn we were not the only customers that felt that way. My intent was not meant to hurt anyone’s feelings when writing this review. It was to be honest about our experience here.

I called ahead to ask if they had any vacancies seeing how it is Valentine’s Day. The woman on the phone was Very bubbly(which is the ONLY reason for the one star) and said«we have plenty of rooms available!» I said«ok, should I book over the phone or online?» She reassured me there are enough rooms to not need to book ahead if I was on my way. After arriving we walked in and immediately got stares. The girl at the bar(also check in area) told me she had to go grab someone else to help me book the room. Out walked whom I assume to be the owner. She looks at me and my family(my partner and 2 kids) and said«we only have rooms with one bed so what are you thinking?» I replied, it’s one night we will be fine. She looks down for no more than a minute and says«we are booked». I let her know that we called ahead and she just looked at me and said«they must have been mistaken». So the only conclusion to come to is that she didn’t want us to stay because we aren’t a hetero family. My money is the same. Totally unprofessional demeanor.

Great place to stop by to grab a bite to eat after going to the pumpkin patches and grab breakfast or brunch with a group of friends! The place is pretty big — so seating is not that big of an issue(unless you’re coming with a large crowd). We didn’t have reservations, but we only had to wait about 10 – 15 min for a large table. My hubby ordered the eggs benedict and I ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy with bacon. I loved that the biscuits were entirely covered with the sausage gravy. Our server was very attentive, and was constantly refilling all of our drinks.

We had brunch there today; 6 in our party celebrating a birthday and engagement. Some of us had breakfast, some lunch. All of the food was awesome! The staff were very professionally and personable. Our waitress, Jill was a ROCKSTAR! The restaurant had been hit hard right before we arrived for our 11 am reservation(loved that they do reservations as it’s easier with a slightly larger group). We let her know we were not in a hurry and that seemed to instantly put her at ease. Each pair of us, ordered and shared a 32 ounce dirty Bloody Mary and it was outstanding! Peppery, and slightly spicy and yummy! When we were ready to leave, they graciously gave my son and his fiancé a gift certificate for Dinner for Two! Wonderful staff and food; we’ll be back!

We went in for brunch today. My mom set up the reservation and I’m so happy because I’m not sure I would have found this awesome place without it! We were seated promptly in a pretty private area. It was busy and I always take that as a good sign! We ordered a ton of food, but started off our meal with their Crazy Mary. I am so thankful we decided to share them(6 people, 3 drinks) because they were HUGE. I love a spicy drink and it was perfect without being too spicy to taste our food when it came. I think that the kitchen got a little bit backed up while we were there, but 4 out of 6 of us used to work in restaurants so we didn’t sweat it. Our waitress Jill kept our drinks filled. She was perfect, super nice and checked in enough to make us feel taken care of without hovering. If she was stressed at all, she didn’t show it. The food was fabulous. I had a very hard time deciding what to order, but Jill steered me toward the goat cheese garden scramble. She also offered to add meat so I asked for ham. It was so delicious! I can’t wait to come back and try the other items I was eyeballing(hello, Maker’s Mark bacon cheese fondue!) To top it all off, Jill knew we were celebrating a birthday and a recent engagement and surprised us at the end with a gift certificate for dinner for my fiancé and myself. She went way above and beyond and turned our experience into a memorable brunch. We are customers for life, for sure! Thank you Jill for your wonderful hospitality, and thank you Fall City Roadhouse for the delicious food!
