Peri’s Silver Dollar Bar

Excellent place to enjoy live music! Peri’s is tons of fun for dancing and pool playing. The bands they feature are absolutely great, and I love the selection: lots of different types of music on different nights, with just the right emphasis on local talent. My only misgiving is the drinks they serve are not quite as delicious as they could be, especially in a town where we enjoy pretty good drinks in most of our local watering holes. The soda guns produce non-​brand sodas for mixers, I think, based on the way the cola and diet cola taste. Also it seems they might need replacement — at least new hoses, as the club soda tastes a bit moldy sometimes. A somewhat pricey fix for a small establishment, but one that would bring the caliber of the drinks way up. Otherwise, it’s a great place, and we love going there for music and fun.

I came to fairfax to get away from SF and lay low for a few days, and I am sure happy that I did! This bar was located just a block and a half a way from my airbnb, and we went there on the first night. We loved it so much that we went back the second as well! The live entertainment was so impressive, and it had us grooving all night long. The drink prices are hard to beat, and the bartenders are very very very personable and hospitable. I would come back just for this bar alone.

Come for the Bloody Mary… DANNY makes the best ones I have EVER had– no exaggeration. If Danny made all the Bloody Maries that ever existed, the world would be a better place. ALL bartenders out there can learn a thing or two from him!!!

What can I say? Consistently hilarious fun… bar, dance floor, outside space and games. What more do you need? Oh and the friendliest people around. Love this place!

One of my first stops of checking out the town since moving to the area. Loved it. The live music was great. The bar is spacious with room to dance, the bartenders were really friendly and cool (and made fine cocktails)– and then I discovered the HUGE backyard! With an awesome (and oddly narrow) ping pong table, lots of places to sit, and general casual vibe. I felt like I was at a cool house party. So far there is nothing I miss about San Francisco.

Went there recently to see Mano Negra and had a rip roaring time. Great diverse crowd, surprised by how fun it was! Sweet outdoors spaces. One of the only venues in Marin to dance with good music.

I like this bar. It’s low key and casual. People are friendly and lots of locals. They have fun music on the patio on the weekends which is great in the summer and the vibe is great. Check it out!

Just stopped in here because we were lost, and my friend remembered that a co-​worker got the crap beat outta him at some bar in this area… so, yeah, we had to stop in and check it out.
Pretty mild-​mannered bar with about 2 or 3 other patrons at 2 in the afternoon. So, we’re pretty sure this isn’t the spot he got stomped out.
Bartender was really cool. But, the highlight for me was the shrine to Elvis in the women’s restroom.
My god, someone had fun putting that décor together. Now, I’m just wondering what the men’s restroom looked like? Was hoping my friend would have checked it out since he’s always pissing like a puppy after a few beers, but he didn’t go while we were here. I’m going to imagine there had to be some kind of shrine to Marilyn Monroe in there… or maybe just some pissing targets of Hanoi Jane. Who knows. Well, if you know, please do tell and squash my wild imagination.

Was out looking for live music on Friday ⁵⁄₃ and happened upon the Soul Satellites w/​Bonnie Hayes here. 10+ stars for the music, vocals, etc. They seemed to be having a great time and the crowd was great as well. Was not packed AT ALL for only an $ 8 cover charge?
Yes the place is a dive bar. No doubt there. The seating area that is ‘next’ to the bar is pretty odd. Diner style chairs, booths, to many lights, etc. but a place to sit and still hear the music, I guess?
I liked the back patio, some interesting metal sculptures to take in. We played a few games of pool and had the tables to ourselves.
Just had beer and club soda so can’t attest to the quality of cocktails, but all of a sudden it was 1230 AM and it seemed like we had been there but an hour. I would call it a worthwhile stop and will be back!
I did not really notice the ladies room as anything special-​but the water was hot in the sink… which is always a bonus for me.

Had a blast! There was a live band playing the night I went. They were pretty epic in their washed up neo hippie grunge rock way. The bartender definitely earned her tips that night! My favorite part hands down was the womens bathroom and its incredible/​horrifying shrine to Elvis. Impressive little dive bar!

Live music outside (weather permitting), live music inside. Non-​pretentious atmosphere, and the bartenders were really fun with just the right amount of attitude and service.
I have to say, I had the BEST martini I’ve ever had here. Impressive.

Went here for a Giants game. It was first time I have been here in years. I was welcomed by billowing cigarette smoke inside the bar. They illegally keep the outside door open to the patio where all the smokers are and refuse to keep it closed. The bar is completely filled with second hand smoke and pretty much intolerable.
~The Bartenders are surly and the chick bartender is a straight up liar! Told the other bartender I had insulted her which NEVER happened. All I wanted was to have the door shut as the law REQUIRES. Several other customers were happy I was shutting the door and a few of them helped me keep it shut so we could all breath happily.
I remember when this was a fun place to go but I will never be back. Never been treated with so much rudeness by a bartender. If this was my business they both would have been fired on the spot fro talking to a customer like they did to me. I hope the ABC comes in and revokes their license for such disregard to customer health.
I have reported this bar to the California Bureau of Tobacco Control. All tehy had to do was be nice for a few hours and I would have ignored it. But they chose to be ******** and now they are going to be contacted by Jhonny Law.

Great music, great old-​school non-​pretentious atmosphere.
We go here often to listen to local bands and love the beer selection. Highly recommend it!

My first time ever to come to the bar in North Bay, it was interesting to observe completely different crowds than Oakland/​Berkeley or SF. Perfect size and not so packed.

I love this place. I love the retro outdoors. The quirky regulars. The rocking Open Mic. The relatively clean bathroom. The pool tables. The decoration. I love that I walked in here by myself a couple of days ago and no one (outside of a random, but polite gentleman) even seemed to notice.
I love that they keep quality local music alive, while keeping the heart of a lasting venue alive as well.
