One of my favorite places to get cheesesteaks. Loved their lemonade and cookies. I tried going last night, but there was a sign up saying they are relocating. Now I gotta take a trip out to the Reston location. :(

Worst customer service ever. Refused to serve us because it was 29 minutes before closing. They close at 8pm now, and refused to make a sandwich at 7:40.

Penn Station USED to be one of my favorite places to get a sub. Tonight I went in at 7:30pm to get a couple of subs and was greeted by a guy who said«Hey. We changed our hours and we close at 8 now. And we already cleaned the grill, so…» I guess what they really mean is they close at 7:30(or possibly earlier). If you’re closed or you just don’t feel like serving any more customers then LOCKTHEFUCKINGDOOR! And post your current hours. I wouldn’t have wasted my time driving up there if I had known. Good thing there’s a Jimmy John’s directly across the street. I won’t bother going to Penn Station to find out if they’re actually open anymore. Oh look! I went to Jimmy John’s and am back home with a delicious sub at 7:58pm — Two minutes before Penn Station was actually supposed to close. If there’s one thing I can’t stand it’s poor service.

I spent 10 minutes going through the menu and decided what we wanted. Their site and Unilocal shows this location closing at 10 pm. I called at 7:55, and it rang for three minutes. I called again at 7:58, and the person answered«Sorry, we’re closed». They said that they close at 8 now. So… that must be why you didn’t want to pick up my call earlier. Am I living in a world where I don’t expect a business to treat customers like this?

THEBESTCHEESESTEAKAROUND!!! I’m a very picky eater and love this place! I’ve been to another location in Ohio and was so excited they opened here. The bread is fresh and perfect and the cheesesteak is amazing!

I was very excited to try Penn Station East Coast subs, Ordered the 12″ Dagwood«east coast style» with ham pepperoni, and corned beef and provolone to go. After about 10 minutes, I received my bag and left. I came home, really excited and opened the sandwich. It was sure 12″ long, but with a 3′ diameter. There was a few pepperoni, one or two slices of ham and provolone cheese. THATS it… nothing else. «east coast style?» it was like a frozen pizza roll… All of this for 10 dollars. I have never been as disappointed. I checked my receipt. My order was taken correctly. I guess Penn Station east coast style means without any condiments, oil. The fries were pretty good and I’m sure that the chocolate chip cookies and lemonade were decent, but that sub was a disgrace. This is nothing close to deli subs that I had when I lived in NY. Some folks may like this, but be warned. this is nothing, I mean nothing, like a sub in NY. Being a Giants fan, I was preparing to watch the Cowboys lose to Green Bay and dig into a nice big NY sub… Surprise… It is 20 degrees outside so I didn’t even bother to go back. They say first impressions last a life time. Well, I will never ever(never ever?) never ever, fall for the«east coast» advertising ploy again… You really hurt me Penn Station… almost as much as the Cowboys winning the Superbowl would be. I hate giving one star… I really do, but that was my experience. 2÷05÷15. UPON reflection and a bit of prayer, I’m updating to two stars… you are welcome Penn…

We came out here while running weekend errands instead of going to Philadelphia Tavern since it was on the way. We won’t be back. Even though the cheesesteak was decent, it took two times for them to get it right. The guy that took our order tried to blame the mistake on someone else for taking the order. They also forgot the fries. The big thing about this place is the cleanliness. Both the men’s and women’s bathroom had fecal matter all of the toilets and around them. Oh my god gross.

Took a little while to get my sandwich but the wait was well worth it. It was DELICIOUS. I choose the Philly cheese-steak with mushrooms, onions, mustard, mayo and banana peppers and it was so good. I will definitely go there again next time and will skip Subway from now on…

Best steak and cheese ever! Cookies and lemonade are fantastic! They are great with feeding large groups… the football players couldn’t get enough. We have been here 3 times in two weeks.

First time here and I was blown away! For a sub place, it was very clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly and greeted us when we walked in. We ordered Philly Cheesesteaks, a large order of fries, and a couple drinks. I was surprised by how fresh the food was. It was delicious and the best steak and cheese that I’ve had in the DMV area. I usually go to Mario’s on Wilson Blvd and I didn’t think that anyone could top their subs. You normally want to grab your sub and go but at Penn Station, you can sit and enjoy your meal too. Definitely coming back!

I LOVE Penn Station and was super excited when this location opened because the other closest was Haymarket or going back home to Cincinnati which doesn’t happen very often. The Philly Cheesesteak is my favorite sub and my go-to option here. It’s what I ordered last night and it was just as wonderful as I remembered. Everything is made to order, so the subs are always hot and fresh. The fries are fresh cut adn super tasty. The service here has always been good. Nothing over the top, but friendly and quick. I’m always surprised at the lack of crowds in this place. I’m not sure if it’s the location or what, but don’t let that shy you away from trying this place out.

I am so glad I stopped in to get a bite to eat. I had the artichoke/provolone sandwich and fries and they were out of this world good. Service was fast, but not fast food taste. Under $ 10.00 and I was stuffed!

Subs are very good. A must try are the cheesesteak and italian. The cookies are to die for! Service could be a little better. I waited five minutes to even be recognized and then another five minutes to get my order taken and there were three staff working, one was making a sub and the other two… not sure what they were doing. But overall all subs are great. Service not so great.

Man, this place disappointing. No wonder why it was a ghost town when I went in there. First of all they don’t sell any combo’s unless it’s their monthly special and second of all the staff were just nonchalant about my whole experience. I don’t know about the other ones in the area but the one in Fairfax sure does suck. Second the prices are ridiculous. It’s like this brand is living on a completely different world. I bought a 12″ sub and had to play full price to add a drink and fries and I also got a cookie. The total came to be $ 18 and some change. At these prices I might as well have gone to The Cheesecake Factory and ate their. I don’t want to give any stars because they don’t deserve it but I have to so I’m giving just one.

The pizza and cheesesteak subs are both delicious. My only gripe is the lack of any sort of meal deal for fries/drink, except for the one monthly special sub; purchasing all three separately really adds to the price. The fresh cut fries(kind of like Five Guys) and the tasty, big subs help to justify the price, but it’s still a bit steep. Also, every time I’ve been to this location, they’re always empty, with maybe one other customer. Hopefully they’re getting business at other times.

Ok, I was told that I could get a coupon for a free 6″ sub. So, I did. I had an errand to run and it’s in the same parking area. So OK why not. I ordered an Italian Sub no Onion, no Mayo. They almost got it wrong ??? I was the only Customer at 12:30(lunchtime) on a weekday. The Fries are good. The Bread is good. The sandwich it self SO-SO. I can think of 2 other places I could have gone to for an Italian Sub. That is better and cheaper. I hope that they get it together. I love small business’. But, truth be told I have my doubts.

We order here for work all the time and I have to say… THISISTHEREALDEAL. I personally order the Italian hot with no onion. The bread is always fresh, the meat rivals that of a NY deli. No one has been unimpressed with the quality of the food or the friendliness of the service. We have had an opportunity to speak with the owner(Shelby) and as small business owners we understand that it takes a certain level of commitment to run a successful business, especially one dominated by big boxes. Penn Station has this commitment to excellence and complete customer satisfaction. Rest assured that if you choose lunch or dinner here, you will not be disappointed.

I ate here for the first time a couple days ago and I literally cannot stop thinking about the Philly steak and cheese I had. This was the best cheese-steak I have ever had and has restored my faith in cheese-steaks all together.(Had it with sauteed onions, banana peppers and mayo — I recommend following suit). The pictures you see here of their subs may look like grey blobs of food — but man what an amazing blob it is! My girlfriend had a pizza sub and was very good — but i was in my own cheese-steak world. The subs all seem to be on the decadent side and sets it self apart from a Subway or a Jersey Mike. Before I thought Jersey mike had solved all of my sub problems — but this place has just raised the bar. Still — I think there is room for both Jersey Mike and Penn Station — Two totally different styles of subs. But please guys — stop going to subway — you are wasting meals here. This place seems very new and the business seems very slow so far — so I hope with a great passion that everyone catches on and pay these people a visit to keep them alive. I plan on many return visits to explore the menu a little — that is if I can resist getting the cheese-steak every time. Get food here now!

Nope. Exactly like the Haymarket location, in fact you should see their reviews if you want a good idea of what this place really is like(They are around a 1 star rating). So, I’ve been to the Haymarket location four times and I was starting to think that it might just be that location that is terrible. It isn’t. I stopped here over the weekend to get a steak and cheese sub against my better judgement given the horrible experiences I’ve had at their other location. This one isn’t any better. My 8″ sub came with honey mustard that I explicitly said I DIDNOT want and the portion of meat was straight up laughable. I find it odd that Amanda K. rated this place so highly when you can clearly see in her picture there is almost no meat on her sandwich. I would say approximately 30% of my 8″ sandwich had no meat on it, just plain bread. They tried to cover that up with toppings which was a mistake since it completely throws off the flavor balance making the sandwich even worse. I didn’t ask for a lettuce sub, guys. The bread is also very skinny as well, which makes Penn Station an even worse value. The ordering system still makes no sense for a place like this, not that it is overly confusing, it just adds complexity to something that should be a simple process. It took an overly long time for them to prepare my sandwich even though they weren’t that crowded at all. To make matters worse, their subs are VERY expensive for what you get. Skip this place, there are literally dozens of better choices in Fairfax and the surrounding area. It should be three strikes and done, but I’ve given this franchise five opportunities now and they’ve failed all five times.

My first experience with Penn Station was when I lived in Toledo, Ohio. I was on the weight watcher program and learned I could enjoy a delicious sub from another sub place within a decent point range instead of just subway. After moving away from Ohio to Virginia I would come back to visit family and try to make a lunch stop here for a to eat like clockwork. Once i Learned that Penn Station was moving into a building in fairfax I knew I had to stop My husband and I stopped after 6 on a Saturday to a near empty restaurant. I wasn’t surprised because the location is sort of tucked away in a small shopping center near CVS and it doesn’t even appear like it was even open despite the open sign on. Customer service was very good here but it might be because they were bored. It was a little strange that while we were eating one of the employee here checked up on us twice to see how we were enjoying our food and even took our trash away when we finished. On to the food, my husband ordered the 8 inch Philly cheesesteak sub combo that came with fries and a drink. The fries are similar in style like 5 guys(aka greasy and delicious). I ordered the Dagwood 6 inch combo meal. This allowed me to choose my meat, cheese, toppings and condiments. I ordered their oven roasted turkey, no cheese, & veggies. Both meals were delicious. I thought my fries were undercooked but my husband said his was really good. I love that this place also has malt vinegar you can add to your fries. Yummy!!! Be sure to get a chocolate chunk cookie
