Terrible. The staff working were rude to the customer in front of me and then to me. I told her she was being rude and she replied to the effect that she didn’t care. I told her I would rather spend my money in a place that was friendlier and she just waved me out. The quality of subway sandwiches is known to be poor. Coupled with terrible staff and there is really no reason to Patronize the establishment… ever.

It’s a Subway, so the food is pretty much the same as any Subway anywhere.
What really sets this one apart is the super friendly staff. The owner/manager, his wife, and their daughter (?) are some of the genuinely nicest people you’ll ever meet and are very helpful and attentive. This really helps set this location apart from the rest.

Oceanside, CA

This subway is run by an Indian manager who is almost always there. Every time I went, no matter if it’s noon or 9:30pm, I saw him there, either in the back, or helping in the front. He’s a pretty nice guy and keeps the place clean the tidy. You won’t walk in and feel like it’s a regular fast food dump; you will feel very comfortable eating there. Because it’s slightly out of the way, it doesn’t get a lot of customers in general, so pretty quiet atmosphere.
The only downside is the price. I don’t know if the price in consistent through the Chicago area, but I’ve been to many Subway’s in California, and the Subways in California had a lot more footlongs for $ 5 (maybe around 8 to 10). Here, they only had about four $ 5 footlong choices. But again, maybe it’s just the matter of location.
Overall, a great place to get subway: clean, quiet, fast, good service
