Horrible experience. I came here because I needed same-​day service and I live nearby. They didn’t deliver my dress shirts and pants on the time they stated. Overpriced also. How this place has an almost five star average is beyond me. I’m going to stick with CD one price even though it’s out of my way.

Best dry cleaner in Evanston, not the cheapest, just the best. Very friendly, honest and capable.

We have been customers of Sunny’s and Sinh’s for about 20 years and we would never consider using another tailor or cleaner’s. Sunny is an amazing seamstress and has rebuilt jackets, hemmed all my too long pants and skirts, fixed items, etc. Sinh is delightful and we love them both. We used to use the weekly laundry service for all work clothes — does anyone iron any more? Now, we mostly use the dry cleaning and tailor services.
If you have a personal connection with this lovely couple — you are treated like family. About 16 years ago, they were witness to our car door being ripped off our car as my spouse tried to exit the car — thanks to a CTA bus running a yellow light at Dempster. Sunny and Sinh not only helped Daryl, but made a police report and drove Daryl home! We loved them before that — but ever since they are family and they watch over us!

I initially had a good experience here. Nice couple that runs the place. Did a nice job doing a repair on some pants, dry cleaning was good as well.
The basic gist here is if everything goes as planned, all is good and you are treated well. However, if anything goes wrong, customer service is something they have never heard of. I brought several suits to them and specifically asked that they hold on to the hangers to put them back on. They said of course they would. When I came back to pick up the suits, my hangers were nowhere to be found. They looked for a few seconds and said «next time you come back we have them». Sure you would. Those hangers were gone. Oh well, move on. But then next time I go I bring some items from my wife and on pickup one pair of pants was missing. I had already paid for the order before checking which was stupid on my part but I figured they wouldn’t just deliver it back to me with an item missing. When asked about it, the guys acts like he doesn’t understand the issue. Then eventually he says «come back in one hour after I call my wife». We were out the rest of the day so we said no, call wife now. «Ok — come back in 30 minutes». Again, NO! He finally decides to call his wife who tells my wife they don’t have the pair of pants, as if that settles the issue. Eventually they tell us to give our info to her husband and they will get back to us. Do you think we ever received a call? Of course not. Do you also think they at least credited us back for the dry cleaning of the pants? Of course not. I’m considering calling the credit card company to dispute the charge.
Good luck with that shoddy customer service.

Yep. I’m sold. My husband found Steve’s last winter and came home saying what a friendly couple they were (and they did a great job with cleaning and minor tailoring his coat), and I finally had a chance to get some clothes cleaned there this past week.
Now, I’m sure I won’t go anywhere else. Sunny is an absolute joy and made me feel like I was a special customer. She even did a free button repair on an item I had cleaned. The best! It’s the kind of place I’d stop in and say hello even if I wasn’t getting anything cleaned!

I’ve been using Steve’s for seven years now, and I won’t go anywhere else. Sunny is delightful — always friendly, remembers every customer, and is very talented. They absolutely know their stuff, from alterations to repairs to stain removal.
In addition to these benefits, I’ve never paid less for such quality work in the 20-​something years I’ve used a professional cleaner. I recommend them highly (and my kids do, too — Sunny always has lollipops on hand for little visitors.

I brought Sunny about five or six jackets that needed minor alterations. She charged less, for both cleaning and tailoring, than other places in the area and she did a fine job. One jacket was badly made and kept scrunching up even after she had pressed it. When I pointed that out to her, she did a little patch on it at no extra charge so that the darn thing would stay flat. She also gave me good advice about how my jackets should fit.

I needed to get a dress tailored for a formal. After seeing the good reviews, I decided to check this place out. Within the first minute I was there, I knew exactly what the reviews were talking about. There was something so wonderful about Sunny & Mr. Shin. I don’t get things Tailored often, but I wish I had more excuses to go back and talk to this adorable couple!

There is something very special about a mom and pop store and this is what I am talking about. Steve’s Cleaners is run by a older Asian wife and husband team that are absolutely wonderful. Even if I don’t have clothes to dry clean I am stopping by her store just to chat and get advice on life and how to clean spots on my clothes! I’ve been going for years and my clothes are clean, spotless and they replace any missing buttons for free! Sunny is a great tailor as well and has done a great job on all my clothes. If you live in the area, this is definitely a place to try at least once. Once you meet Sunny you know what I am talking about.

My entire family drives across town to see Sunny. I keep forgetting to count but i’m sure i must pass at least four other cleaners on the way. She takes good care of us and i feel good after drooping in. If you are in the neighborhood, or even further, give her a try!

This dry cleaner is managed by a nice Asian couple. In addition to dry cleaning, she is a very good tailor — especially if you need a quick fix or alterations.
I bring all my dry cleaning to them and she is really funny and always jokes around with me when I’m there. They usually average about 2 – 3 days to turn around dry cleaning, depending on what you need.
I’ve gone running in there with a hole in my glove or other things I need a quick for and she has happily repaired them for me, for no charge, while I wait a few mintues.
She will also tell you up-​front if she thinks you have something that could easily be washed at home and gives you tips on what to do with stain removals.
They are a wonderful couple and they’ve never ruined or lost an article of my clothing!
