My husband and I went to Rita’s for dinner. We had heard good things however our dinner was terrible. We both had combination platters. The rice and beans looked and tasted like the cook had scraped the bottom of the pan. The enchiladas were reheated in the microwave. I was so disappointed. The restaurant was busy so I know sometimes things slip through the cracks. We voiced our displeasure about our dinner to our waiter which we feel it fell on deaf ears. We won’t go back they only got a star because the website required that we give one.

We’ve never had a problem here. Consistently good Mexican food. I love the cheese enchiladas with guacamole and sour cream, rice and beans. Their refried beans are delicious. Tasty margaritas. Their Chipotle burrito is huge and crazy good if you like a lot of heat. Yum

We have so much in the way of excellent Mexican cuisine in California that there really is no reason to go places that aren’t «great». This is not «great». The service is good and people are friendly. But, everything is stewed beyond measure. I just prefer fresher produce and grilled meats. This place is a pass for me, I can do better for cheaper in the kitchen myself.

I took my niece there for lunch one day. We both ordered beef and cheese burritos. We waited about 10 minutes. Then 4 other tables came in after us they each have 3 to 4 people I kept trying to get the waiters attention and he ignored me. He fed everybody else that had big meals. He can the waiter came back from the kitchen I tried to call him over he went back in the kitchen. Then a few minutes later he came out with our food. It was cold and awful. That was not the first time that has happened to me and I restaurant. It will be the last though.

Rolled into town after 4 nights of camping along the Cali coast. Craving authentic Mexican. Thx Unilocal.Rita’s was right away obviously a locals place. Nothing pretentious, just good food and friendly service.
The mole sauce was very good as was the tomatillo green sauce. Yummy enchiladas with flavorful chunks of meat. Great stuff

A friend of mine recently introduced me to Rita’s and I have been there a couple of times. The atmosphere is average with your choice of booths or tables. The wait staff is very friendly. The food is quite good and the prices are reasonable.
At Mexican restaurants I usually order either fajitas or a burrito. Rita’s offers a fajita burrito! First time I’ve ever seen that and it was very good. My wife loves their Margaritas. I will be back.

Excellent Mexican food!
It can be difficult to find good Mexican food in Northern California. This place has it.
There’s a ton of menu options, the rice/​beans taste as they should and they even have several Mexican beers on tap. Negra Modelo on tap is rare — and a great Mexican beer.
We had the shrimp burrito and the carne asada tacos — both were great. They also have the «real» sodas (cane sugar not high fructose corn syrup).
I live in San Diego for 10+ years and had some of the best Mexican food ever there. This isn’t quite that — but it’s exceptional for the Lost Coast.
It’s very casual and the service was great for us.

My husband and I loved Ritas! It was one of our favorite places to eat out at, so much so that is became a problem. The service was always wonderful. The servers frequently checked on how we were doing and our water glasses were never empty. When family came to town, this is where we took them. When we got married, we stopped at Ritas the evening before to celebrate. We moved away a year ago and have yet to find a decent mexican place in our new town.
My favorite dish was the chicken mole enchilada and the flautas. My husband always got a burrito ranchero or chimichanga. This is just a wonderful place to go and enjoy a meal out

I like this Ritas the best. I had a Lemon Margarita too. It was huge and the glass, was plastic. I could see why, you get so wasted that you might break a glass! So good for the plastic and a great Lemon Margarita too!
