We were on a motorcycle trip from Iowa. I was Unilocaling my way across the USA to find places to eat. I liked the reviews I read, so we gave this place a try and loved it! Great authentic Mexican food and at a reasonable price. This place is in a food court of a mall, but don’t let that fool you! I had a Carne asada burrito with guacamole, pico de gallo, beans and cheese. It was fantastic! I highly recommend this place!

Maybe the best Mexican food in Humboldt. If you’re a weight lifter or have a big appetite, get their «burrito bowl.» I tell them I want everything on it and I always get a double order of grilled chicken.

By far the best option in the Bay shore Mall food court. The carnitas is awesome! Unfortunate run down mall atmosphere, but the food makes it worth it. Burritos are a hefty size and reasonable price. Service is friendly.

I absolutely love their food, but not this time. The taste was great. The rocks were not… Yep, rocks… I got half way through my burrito and I found 2 small stones… definitely not bone, but rocks… what the hell??? I called to at least them know they were there. Im not a fan of getting refunds.

I love the enchiladas and combos at Los Gallos. The workers are friendly, and the service is efficient. My only complaint, is that the portions on the combo are a bit chinsy. I think I got only one or two spoonfuls of rice on my combo. My gastrointestinal tract is not the greatest fan of refried beans, and I found I got more of them than the rice. But in all, filling and yummy. Mom loves their burritos. What makes ma’ happy makes me happy. One star off, I want more rice next time!

It’s definitely not one of my favorite places for Mexican food, but it’s one of the better mall places. Their Carne asada and carnitas tacos are very good, but I’m not a big fan of the chile rellenos which is one of my favorite foods. Sometimes I feel like it lacks flavor. On the positive the service is good, the prices are reasonable and they are pretty quick to serve your food.

This place is definitly by far the best mexican in Eureka! Possibly even Humboldt! They always are so friendly and service is quick. I am in love with the buche tacos. The meats seem very fresh and the servings never skimp. I was raised in So Cal and spent a ton of time in Mexico eating «dog» tacos. Why the name? Because the meat is so good it must be dog! The flavors are authentic and the food is Mexican not Mexican geared toward Americans.

Gotta give it up for an awesome place, no not the dreary Bayshore its located in, but the friendly service and really good Mexican food at Los Gallos. Love the fish and shrimp tacos, love the vegetarian burritos, the nachos, the meats. Love everything I’ve had there. When our family can’t cook and need a few days take out rations, this is the #1 go to spot. Good for the kids, good for the folks. Love the Tamarindo Aguas Frescas. Broad menu, good prices. Stay focused on Los Gallos, avoid eye contact with the walking dead, and brave the mall.

I’m going to go ahead and give this 4 stars. It’s probably the best non fancy taqueria in town. It’s consistent and delicious. It’s just dirty enough for me to know it’s legit. Reminds me of Oakland.
Lose a star because I hate the mall and the horchata could have been better.

I am not from the Eureka area but was craving Mexican food, so I Unilocaled it. At first I was hesitant to try a mall food court restaurant, but it was really good!

I worked in the mall for about 6 months and while i was there this was one of my favorite places to get lunch. They staff was always super friendly, the prices are cheap and the food is some of the best Mexican in Humboldt county. I never tried their salsa though I heard it was amazing. Their horchata is some of the best I have ever had! I’m kinda picky when it comes to my food and they always got it perfect every time. Sometimes I would go to the mall just to pick up some food from here!
