If you like tasty, fresh, huge portions of delicious Vietnamese food, then Da Nang is perfect for you. Hyped up by my friends, I finally tried the steak vermicelli today and was not disappointed. The hot sauce was actually spicy(hard to find in Eugene), the side salad was bright and crunchy, the steak not over cooked. I will be eating here again. And again.

Hands down one of the best steak bánh mì I’ve ever had. It is also right by the Oregon wine lab, so you can’t beat that!

As a Vietnamese, this is the closest Vietnamese food to home for me! My all time favorite is the Steak Noodle. Always ask for extra fish sauce if you want some extra flavor like me lol.

Best Vietnamese food in town! Healthy, light and refreshing. Perfect for the summer time. It’s a good truck but it’s parked right outside the Oregon Wine Lab. Bout outdoor and indoor seating available. You can get a drink to complement the food. Want could you expect more of a food truck!

I’m Vietnamese American, just moved from Portland. Excited to find some tasty(& healthy) comfort food in Eugene. Got the tofu with noodles per recommendation — don’t usually order tofu — but it was pretty amazing. Will be back soon!

First time I’ve ever had vegan phở since it’s almost impossible to find… SOGOOD. So much flavor and it was filling. They definitely didn’t half-ass their vegan recipe which I appreciate! Will totally be back when I visit Eugene again!

Yum! This place serves fresh Vietnamese food packed with flavor. Choose your protein then choose your side and soon you’ll be enjoying your food under the trees. I ordered the steak noodle bowl and my boyfriend ordered the chicken and rice. The food came out fast and hot. Both dishes were yummy and neither of us had that«oh my god why did we just eat that many calories» feeling. We realized it was trivia night(Thursday night) at the wine bar it’s parked in front of so we stayed for a few rounds and had a good time. I love that they have Mexican 7-Up with real sugar. I’ll be coming back here on another Thursday night.

What a treat! The Da Nag food truck is all the true Vietnamese favors in Eugene! We stopped on our way up to Portland and boy were we surprised. My boyfriend and I both ordered the Bun(noodles) and we choose beef. The hot sauce and the peanuts and fresh cilantro on top gave it some many intense favors!!! We shared a beef Bahn Mih and the beef was nicely cooked, a little pink, which I love… The fresh cucumbers, carrots, herbs and sauces were heavenly. It reminded me of my meals when I was in Vietnam in 2011. If I came back to Eugene, I’m definitely stopping by again!

Best. Ever. Udon. Pure pleasure. Start to finish. Vietnamese-style udon bowl with pork. Love udon, and this was fantastic! The pork is long simmered in broth before slicing, butter tender and moistly delectable. A few tasty dark-fried onion bits floating on top. Richer, more savory broth than I’m used to, delicious. Perfectly fresh crunchy veggies. Rice-tapioca noodles(GF) instead of the familiar Japan-style wheat noodles. House-made red sauce and fiery tiny red peppers on the side. So good it made me feel furtive, like I must be doing something criminal. Only on «soup days«, Mon & Tue, three rotating sup types each day. Haven’t tried the Phở yet, can’t wait. PS — nice outdoor eating area, shares space with Eugene Wine Bar.

Ideal food truck experience. Tasty new world spin on classic Vietnamese. Exactly what you’d wish from abv’s(American born Vietnamese) in the kitchen. Plus delivered right to your funky local wine bar table. Marriage made in heaven! Take out prep took 10 mins. Long enough to sip a delish cold one. Tofu, steak or chicken on salad, rice, vermicelli or baguette all super fresh n delish. Great garnishes too. Love!

My chicken salad had the perfect combination of sweet and spicy, with the char on the chicken coming through. I also had a «special» spring roll of tofu and veggies wrapped in rice paper that they’ll make if you ask(when they aren’t busy!)…Also, I called ahead to ask about their soups(Phở) which I’ve heard are excellent, and received very friendly answers to all my questions. They generally offer their soups Mon and Tues, so keep that in mind. Once at the food truck, I got great in-person service too. They have both inside seating(at Wine Lab) where I got a large glass of water, and outside picnic tables. Great ambiance. Next time I’ll try the beef phở!

Living in SoCal, I have been to MANY many Vietnamese restaurants in my day. My family goes at least once a week, and we order all the usual — phở, bun, bahn mo, beef stew, broken rice. When I first heard about Da Nang, let’s be honest, I was skeptical. I’ve had Vietnamese food in pretty ethnically undiverse(okay, let’s just say it, predominantly white) geographic locations before, and in my experience, it’s usually inauthentic or not very good. I don’t know whether it’s difficulty of access to ingredients or that people won’t know the difference anyways. I thought this would be the case for this little Vietnamese eatery in Eugene, OR. Much to my surprise, it is actually, like… really good. Like… REALLY good. We had the chance to try most of their menu items, and each time I was blown away not only by the authenticity of the taste, but the quality of the ingredients. The bun(noodles) is probably the best bun I’ve ever had at any Vietnamese restaurant and the beef that goes in the bahn mi(sandwich), rice, and bun is SO good, remarkably tender and flavored so well! I don’t know how they do it with the beef but what I think it comes down to is that because the chefs seem to be American born, they do not skimp on the quality of the meats in order to make a larger profit. Their food is not quite Vietnamese American fusion, but just a better, more complex-flavored, higher quality version of the Vietnamese food I’ve had in SoCal. Only suggestion? Let’s get some egg rolls on the bun! ;) You can’t beat location, I mean, amazing Vietnamese food AND wine from the Oregon Wine LAB? Yes, please. I’m in.

The banh mi was a bit on the pricey side, but it was pretty darn tasty. I would definitely come here again to give their other choices a try. One disappointing part of the banh mi was the lack of cilantro, use of fish sauce, and the pickled veggies. It was apparent that they tried to pickle the carrots and daikon, but they just were pickled enough.

Outstanding food. Went there 2 days in a row. Tried their tofu bahn mi, steak noodles and also the tofu noodles. Ordered food and sat inside Wine Research and had could of drinks and the food was delivered inside Wine Research. Only downside is their limited open times.

Da nang! Don’t you just love saying that?! Yes it is a city in vietnam, so what. Anyways, Banh mi here is fresh and crisp. Wouldn’t call this the fastest food truck I’ve ever encountered but by no means is it slow. Size was a little underwhelming and left something to be desired if you are ready to eat half a cow for dinner, I could easily eat 2 of things without flinching but then my wallet wouldn’t be too happy. My main gripe though is were are my pickled Vietnamese veggies?! That’s the best part of a Banh mi for sure, am I right people? *crickets* I guess not since 95% of people give this 5 stars. Anyways, decent spot for a small, yet quick pickup for a work lunch.

The good: The tofu was cooked perfectly. The tomato sauce on my noodles was very flavorful. The salad was cool and fresh on a hot day. The person taking my order asked if peanuts, hot sauce, and fish sauce were okay. The to-go container is even compostable! The bad: It did not taste like Vietnamese cuisine. It was like eating an Asian version of spaghetti, with peanuts and spice — not what I was expecting to be eating. And the little cup of sauce that comes with the meal was mostly sweet, not complex in flavor. Next time, I’ll go to Tam’s Place Vietnamese Cuisine. Their sauce and food is excellent.

Yes! So good! super fresh, super delicious yet simple and just all around great. The price is spot on too and doesn’t hurt your pocket book at all. you get to choose your protein(beef, chicken or tofu) choose what it goes on(bun(rice noodles), Salad greens or can have it on a french roll) they also have Phở which i need to try. catch these guys if you can. They are at Ninkasi on Sunday’s fairly regularly but they also are at other places all over town on other days.

Love me some Da Nang! Open for almost a year now, Da Nang has already established quite the following. Their food seems to flow nicely with whatever season it is. In the hotter seasons their banh mi’s are light and fluffy full of flavor and quite filling. In the fall and winter their servings of phở and bo kho are soul warming and comforting. Always conveniently parked near a brewery, the combination of Vietnamese food and beer seem to be a pair made in heaven. The young men that run this food truck have worked on the concept and the truck for years leading up to their grand opening and their hard work and passion really shows through their food. The numerous times that I have been there, I witness how much they engage with their customers and that’s why they have such a loyal following. I thought it was funny when they decided to leave the country for a month and their customers were visibly upset and constantly wondering when they were going to be back. They are incredibly supportive of other food truck businesses and are a presence in the Asian community. I’m so glad that Da Nang is part of the Food Truck revolution that’s finally come to Eugene.

The address on Unilocal is wrong, but managed to find the place at Ninkasi after looking them up on Facebook. We had the bahn mi with chicken. Wanted to try the bun, but they were out. The bahn mi was great. The sauce was delicious and not too spicy, but just right amount of heat. The chicken was juicy and tender. And the add-ons like cucumber, carrot, and radish was refreshinng with every bite. Also… The guys running it were super friendly! We will be returning.
